Fun Fact: "Back to Back" by Drake was nominated for a Grammy and it lost to Kendrick Lamar's "Alright," so in turn "Not Like Us" could be the first rap diss track to win.
Kendrick deserve all the accolades not only for the records but how he have acted like a grown mature man throughout this entire battle/beef. That's lacking nowadays!
If we talking RAP, then having a beef track in the rap categories isn't something shocking. Dot definitely deserves the rap categories. He whipped up a hit song like Tony Stark in that cave with that suit and came out throwing flames. No ghost writers/no backing vocals/one producer/straight bars. That's Rap 101.
Shoutout to Rocky for getting that Grammy nom. Bro has consistently had some of the most creative music videos of the last decade and doesnt get enough flowers for it
I'm the biggest Cole fan and was shocked that Might Delete Later was nominated. It'll definitely be a flex I use with friends if he wins that award off a mixtape. But my guess is Future wins it, my pick would be Doechii. I think Kendrick wins at least 3 and whichever one that's televised he HAS to start the speech with "Kendrick just opened his mouth, somebody get him a Grammy right now"
I think Dot has the rap categories on lock. It's really tough to see Dot beating Shaboozey, Taylor Swift or Sabrina Carpenter, simply because the songs are sooo pop and far more palletable to the average listener. I am also really interested to see what his acceptance speech(es) sound like a week before the Super Bowl!
TDE and PGlang had a phenomenal year! I love this for them, I got Kenny going home with at least two!! Sidebar I often think about how this battle opened the doors and shined a light on Rhythm And Poetry being back at the center front of hiphop. ❤️
Song of the Year is a competitive category actually. If Kendrick doesn't win I wouldn't be mad, still my preferred choice. Not Like Us is just breaking ground previously inconceivable for a popular song. We'll probably never see anything like it again.
I will say until I'm blue in the face that I wished they submitted Euphoria for best rap performance, but I get why they didn't. Oh well. Congrats to Kendrick and Doechii 🎉 and shout-out to the Grammys for NOT nominating Tommy Richman 😏

Until the battle the men were saying she was giving better music than the fellas. Kendrick was like “I’ve had it with all these wack men! Wartime!” Lol! 2. Best Rap Song: Not Like Us, Kendrick Lamar 3. Best Melodic Rap Performance: 3 AM, Rapsody and Erykah Badu *Weekend made a diss song sound like a Love song! So, I’m fine with that one too. Plus singers don’t diss often, kinda cool.-We Still Don’t Trust You, Future & Metro ft. Weekend *I like Sunday Service and the Remix better than Big Mama by Latto.

Spades? Idk how to play that but I'll agree Kendrick wins at least 2. I was happy to see some powerhouse singers in the Jazz category. For a genre created by Black musicians, it sure got whitewashed over the years but I'm glad to see glimpses of Black singers and musicians nominated-Samara Joy, Christie Dashiell, Catherine Russell and Lakecia Benjamin as well as Esperanza Spalding and Andre 3000. Jazz, blues and folk have been where I'm at these days. I've found some really 🔥 records and rediscovered old faves.
