When we first got keys to our renovation in central we were in shock and felt overwhelmed for a whole weekend. Its a bit better two years later. Another two years to finish. BTW there will be shoes, many pairs stuffed in weird place. Good luck.
Loved your video, thank you. Like the lay-out of your property, its not too big to manage. Doggie looks more settled and relaxed in the chair (haha). You could tie a rope from one concrete post to another and tie the dog to that so it can walk up and down a bit (if still escaping!). Cheers from NZ

You can do a lot with this house. And the land can grow almost anything ,They are many hundred of houses in the North just like that. ( Aveiro district.)

This is very reminiscent of the channel, Make Do Grow, who have a property in central Portugal that they have been renovating for two or three years. The block was overgrown, The Outbuildings where dilapidated and falling down, with lots of building rubble and materials throughout. The House was superficially presentable, until they started renovating and discovered huge problems with damp and then rotted floor joists, lintels, etc. The buildings had a cement render over original stone structures. Their are fruit trees in abundance, and old vine trellises Good luck!
Thanks Peter, I have seen their videos. I think their property is older than ours, we don't have any timber joists or floor boards as they were replaced by the previous owner with concrete beams and blocks. It's not as attractive, but at least won't rot.

Ours was roaming the streets for months when she was six months old and luckily my relatives trapped her in the back yard and the rest is history. Love mine to death. Her name is Dixie. I was trying to send you a picture but not sure how or that's possible. Not a tech....lol
My son thought it looked a bit like a cross between a Bassett hound and a Rhodesian Ridgeback but agreed that there are lots of different hounds. Interesting and she looks very engaged and interactive with everything.

Regards your dog suggestion, make a run: which is, 2 anchor points in a straight line with a wire joining them dog height, and clip her lead/chain on to the wire. This way she can still have her limited freedom but not escape.

This part actually looks like a lot of fun. Its the interior stuff I hate doing. What are those big concrete looking things standing up all over the yard? They look too big to be grape trellis.
The shorter, chunkier ones are granite posts. They held up metal bars that supported wires, on these grew grape vines. Most of the vines have been chopped down, but there are some that are still here
