  • Residents have called for an urgent rethink on tourism on Bribie Island, north of Brisbane, with increased traffic clogging the bridge to the mainland and putting turtle hatchlings at risk along the beach.

    Bribie Island - about 50 kilometres north of Brisbane - is the world's third-largest sand island after Fraser (K'Gari) and Stradbroke islands.
