Hey the last method you have mentioned is forgery and misrepresentaion. You cannot edit the PDF when you have not booked the ticket.
As per embassy website they don't want actual booking but flight itinerary as per travel plan

I understand you are only trying to help and I do like your other videos, but as lawyer I had to point this out to you that this is forgery and misrepresentation and its a criminal offence. The video is informative but in my opinion the 3rd option shouldn't be tried, Just recently I met a guy at the VFS centre here for whom the visa was denied mainly because of this reason, sometimes the embassy do check the flight reservation number and in his case it seem they did the same. Just like your friend this guy also travelled previously to europe editing an old ticket and using it for visa application purpose, but his bad luck, this time embassy did a check and he was caught. Now in future he will not be able to get schenzen visa because it gets recorded as black mark in their system. Best option is to hold the ticket and use it for application purpose

Why not book refundable ticket instead? That way you lock the price which would increase with time. Some traveler on TH-cam said he books with websites or airlines who’ve refund policy incase one gets sick or visa gets refused. You can make a how to video on this. Will be useful for viewers.
I haven't come across any airlines which gives full refund of the ticket. They mostly allow free change of ticket for a fee.

With option 1, I've got the visa twice.
Option 3 may be risky but that's how people getting visa without paying for dummy tickets.

But option 1 will not work now because embassy is receiving files only after 5/6 days and by then the 72 hours period is lapsed. This what the BLS guy told me.
Option 3 - Never man.
You have a good travel history, + financial docs are most important. Only your cover letter was v confusing regarding 2nd visit to Cyprus which is not even Schengen area. But even then they "should" have given you a regular 1 month visa. Just bad luck!

Heard dummy tickets gained from websites are illegal and they can become inactive anytime. Also as far as booking through airlines is concerned is 72hrs enough? Coz they take really long many times to process the visa application and by then it would have expired.
The 72 hour hold ticket worked for me twice. In 2021 and 2022.
Hi Amit, Thanks for the guidance, video was very informative. I had a question like visa processing may take 10-20 days but we can hold fights for 2-3 days, wouldn't that cause any problem. Also if embassy verifies my flights post expiration of my holding dates then?
Embassy doesn't want you to book actual flight. Just some document to support your itinerary. It will be fine

Your travel dates are very close.
This year all embassy taking longer than usual in issuing visa.
It may arrive within 10 days or may take 20 days.
If it's urgent you may do 1 thing, during appointment in vfs, select priority application and ask if they can send passport to embassy next day.

Hi Amit, We were planning to apply for schengen visa through Greece. It says that the income tax return for last two years need to be attested. When called at VFS office, they mentioned it has to be attested by a CA. Do you know anything about this requirement?
Never have I attested itr while applying. But for Greece I’ve heard they asked for attestation.

Since visa processing time can be anywhere from 15 to 30 days, and if the flight reservation can be put on hold only for 3 days, wouldn't that cause issues. What if embassy official checks my reservation after the ticket reservation gets expired ?

According to embassy official statement, they don’t want people to book actual flight ticket before getting a visa.
They want a ticket reference as per travel itinerary and this method has worked for other travellers in the past.
How do you show your flight details for visa ?
@AmitChaudharyvideos I am not sure which on which embassy you found this statement regardless of this, there is also another statement in the embassies from "I declare that all the information and statements provided by me are true and accurate."
You are editing a pdf and putting your name on a flight on which there is no official record means you are lying to the embassy, and in no way that document is true and accurate and, as the other guy in the comments pointed out, is misrepresentation.
