1) Same thing happened to me in France and Germany. Got rejecteted twice, lost 80K INR as I had everything booked assuming I will get visa. Why wouldnt I ? Eventually My fellow passenger had to go to europe all alone without me and I was heartbroken 2) Next Year applied in Netherlands through Tour operator, THANK GOD they called me for an interview and asked me why my Visa was rejected last year twice. I got a chance to tell my side and I got the VISA with them telling me ALWAYS APPLY FROM SAME COUNTRY AFTER REJECTION Learning 1) Spend extra money to go through tour company as they process thousand of application each day 2) Indian passport is shite. 3) ALWAYS APPLY FROM SAME COUNTRY AFTER REJECTION
What would be the best way to book the flights before VISA approval? Is it possible for me to just get the reservation, without paying the full price? If yes, please share the best option available. Much thanks!!
As an Indian now living in Europe for over a decade, i find the process of European tourist visa extremely cumbersome, arbitrary, unnecessarily laborious and off-putting. As a potential tourist, you get so demotivated. Try through Spain or Portugal next time. Those countries are a bit more relaxed.
Mam.. Only reason for ur rejection was ur 2 months long only Switzerland itinerary... Literally no one goes to Europe for two long months and visit only one small country like Switzerland... That created doubt about purpose of visit......!! Anyways really informative video.... One can learn a lot from this.. Thank you mam
This is awful, love. I’m so sorry you had to go through this nightmare thrice, the rejection and the financial loss really pinch :( I’m so sure the Universe will gift you something amazing instead for the upcoming months, and hopefully a tourism board will bring you into Europe too very soon and clear this rejection record ❤️
Schengen visa should be taken from first port of entry in schengen or country where you have maximum stay .. Since you have 02 rejections advisable to wait for 6-8 months before you re apply .. When you re apply ensure that you have all hotel bookings, return tickets, make a day to day itinerary explaining places that you shall be visiting & your bank statement having ample funds to support your stay abroad.
Although they will never put it in writing, you're clearly an immigration risk to them due to your unmarried status and lack of ties to India. - shown mostly through employment! It's a sad reality we Indians have to face. I would recommend going through an agent who knows how to prepare documents properly.
We are equally sad to hear this 😔 I hope next time Europe calls you, and you don't have to go through all the hustle again! Lots of love to you and can't wait to see your vlog from another continent 🤗❤️
I'm so sad what happened to you, since being german I can't help you with recommendations on how to get a visa, but I recommend that you check out the non Schengen countries in Europe. Croatia and the non EU countries in the western balkans are great for summer and have some of the best beaches in Europe. Also Transsilvana in Romania and Turkey, Georgia and Armenia on the outskirts of Europe are great places to visit and much more affordable. I also recommend Israel, even though it's not in Europe and pretty expensive, but one of the best places to visit is the world. I'm planning my trip to India, that's why I found your video :)
@@Radhika_Nomllers You're welcome and I'm so excited to visit India because it's on top of my list for years. I totally understand that you're very disappointed because I normally go to different parts of Asia every year and haven't been since 2019. Wish you a good trip to the new continent and I'm sure it will be as good as traveling around Europe.
Dear Radhika, I feel you. I got my visa rejected today from France. It came as a blow because I have US visa and I am a resident of UAE but still. I m sad but I hope things will turn out well.
@@Radhika_Nomllers I got schengen visa twice, the best possible way in your case will be to get an invite letter from your friends who resides in schengen country.
Doesn't matter if you are resident of UAE or have USA visa. They give visa quote based for third world nation. Keep trying different embassy. You will get one
Dear Annu Sia - Have watched some your vids-I liked it. As far as schengen visa goes, as i mentioned on a separate reply I know one takes these rejections personally. you either feel dejected that they did not see your case properly or that they reject single females or Indians or whatever. Instead I woukd suggest getting a good idea of why it happened. Please contact a tour operator (organized group tour people) who cater to Indians in Dubai (you are in same boat :) ). Some of them will offer visa services as well. If you talk to those guys and mention your particulars you will get more info on where/how to apply and if being single /female is an issue how to counter that with documents/data. Also fine details matter- duration/type/deductible of insurance, trip details/duration etc. All of these matter and a professional who does this day in out is better placed to improve your chances..hope that helps
Hi radhika, i have 2 Schengen visa on my passport and last year i applied through vfs france and i got the maximum no. of days which was 6 months with 90 days stay. What i have noticed the biggest problem in your case is your stay duration. You Shouldn’t have shown an itinerary of 2 months because spending 2 months in switzerland is nothing less than 5 to 7 lakh rupees and looks suspicious. Even if you have shown them only 10 days itinerary they would have given you minimum 30days stay. So next time plan a short itinerary without any ambiguity, you should be clear about your itinerary in cover letter with intra travel bookings. Like my itinerary was paris to bordeaux to toulouse to Paris and i have booked all the train tickets through omio app later after getting visa i cancelled them. So next time do take care of this point. All the best for your future travel .
I am applying to France for visa..can you tell me what all documents you gave? Is ITR of previous 3 years required? I haven't filed ITR in the previous years..i wasn't working and joined a job only last year..will it be a problem for me?
This is the first time I have made such a simple, sit and talk video. But I thought it was important to talk about this experience. What do you guys think? Was this experience fair?
Bad luck Radhika. One of my friends got a visa through the French embassy last September and completed his trip successfully. Coming to your next trip I am guessing Antarctica it might be. I wish they would invite you to visit in the near future.
Me and my wife got our Schengen Visas twice applying via Belgium and Netherlands. It is very imperative that they feel we will come back to our original country after the trip. My wife is unemployed however had a pretty strong Bank Balance and applied saying she was financing on her own.
You can be rejected any number of times but it doesn’t mean you will be blacklisted. You are banned only if you do anything illegal, have breached previous visa conditions or is a security risk. So you can keep applying without any worries.
Hi Radhika! I am sorry to know of your experience and all the cancelled plans. Applying for Schengen visa can be a cumbersome process & much of it seems unnecessary & bullyish. I've had my luck with 3 Schengen visas as a freelancer and now a resident permit, here's a few things you can keep in mind for your next application: 1. Detailing is the key in your application- Your itinerary for the number of days you're applying across Schengen states, accommodation, flights, travel insurance & how you're going to travel across the cities (rail pass/ car rental, etc), a detailed itinerary document (nothing vague), a self-employment letter declaring your primary source of income & the recognition of your work (Brand/ Tourism board contracts/ emails/ payment slips). Specify that you have family back in India & that you will travel back for them & mentioning potential commitments after your trip which give you a purpose to return. The reason for most visa rejections is lack of clarity in purpose of travel & reasons to return. Address both points abundantly well. 2. In case of a rejection, always reapply from the embassy that rejected- 1. It shows consistency & that you're trying to correct the shortcomings of your previous application. Mention the rejection in your cover letter and that you're trying to address that issue what additional documents. Because EU states are interconnected in their affairs, so consistency in application is necessary. There is no such thing as blacklisting unless the reasons of rejection are legal discrepancies. But it makes sense to wait 3 months post a rejection to apply again. Despite the tiresome visa process, things get better. I'd love to help you with your next application if you need help :) Looking forward to your next trip! Cheers xxx
Damn!! This has been the most sensible comment I have read on this video! Thanks so much and gives me a lot of ideas and steps that I need to take next time - self employment letter, never thought of that. Thank you 😊
hello i am artist(painter) and mostly i get paid in cash and my work is not registered anywer then what docs i need to show to make profile strong and what can be the strong reason of returning i am applying for netherlands pls help thanks
I wonder what documents French citizens need to give if they want to visit India. This is pure abuse of Indian/third country citizens. Beurocratic bullying!!
@@ruturajjadeja693 Hi! Your ITR statements are extremely important as they make up for the lack of pay slips, provided you provide proper explanation about the nature of your work. The Embassies want to take into consideration the inflow of income. Additionally, it would be recommended to create some paper trail with your contractors/clients with regards to the work assignment, remuneration, etc (even Email copies are acceptable). There's no fixed way to do it. But documenting details, responsibilities in your home country, stable income in your home country is something they consider. I hope this helps :)
@@MrSoorajorpheus I agree! This absolutely sucks. But I've also come across Asians who've moved there illegally & are contributing to this kind of treatment towards incoming travelers. These systems have a lot of loopholes, but all they care about is their check list. If we wish to travel/work/study, we got to follow the suit.
Having travelled to 55 countries on Indian passport including multiple visits to Schengen area, I think it's time we admit and realize that Indain ordinary passport holders are the most "beaurocratically abused" group of travelers. While we claim India is a super power, it's time to check and ask ourselves the reality (you are one amoung million who get rejected with no proper reason) but only because India govt doesn't push the travel rights of citizens.
True… due to all these hardships for even tourist/ short term visas.. I have always felt.. “ if we had a stronger passport this discrimination would not be there”Nowadays not even getting appointments at VFS at required dates.. and even if we submit all our documents, u sometimes get ur visa stamped late n will loose a lot of money on flight tickets.. what to do? Really frustrating!
I feel the same after 20 years of travel. Indians are treated like shit abroad. India super power myth is for the bhakts to believe in. Go abroad with Indian passport and they will pull you aside for questioning.
Radhika, I am feeling very sorry to know this. My Schengen visa (Estonia) got rejected just a week back and this was my first visa rejection too. Earlier, I got Schengen visas for Netherlands and Iceland (all applied via Thailand as I was living there). This was the first time I applied via VFS India and got rejected. Feels terrible. I know. Never mind, I am glad to see you exploring Ethiopia. Happy travels darling!
Few things you can do in future ! Take the premium services it’s just 3-4K extra but it’s for a year and they treat you like royalty. Second, your bank statements are important so keep that strong but also show solid assets like your house / company anything like that registered in your name. One reason may be length of visa but literally your visa can be rejected for no reason at all.
@@Radhika_Nomllers Singe woman, good looking, they know you could find someone and marry them in about 15 minutes, and stay forever. Also make TH-cam videos, thats work. you would be making you tube videos in europe and earning money on them and hence braking your visa conditions. All these things will not help you get a visa.
I`m really sorry your visa got denied, sometimes it`s like there is not a "straight line" to get your visa approved, yet you need to spend so much time.I`d advice you to just try again and not give up-All the best
I can feel you. I was supposed to start this Sunday for my Europe backpacking and I got a visa refusal from Switzerland embassy saying my intend of stay is not reliable :-( Lost flight cancellation and all other visa processing charges. I was super confident that I would get it and didn't have a backup plan.
My suggestion is for you to put, "Tourism," as your purpose for the visit in any place in Europe. That is what I did. My interview, submission of documents, and biometrics took only 1 hour and 45 minutes. I received my French visa 7 days after my appointment at the VFS Global Center in San Francisco. Also, you should have a credit card to pay for your fees even though on their website it stated that you could pay in cash. Good luck on your next application!
I had opted for premium lounge service with vfs, they filled the form n checked the documents however they filled wrong visa type form, so basically staff are not trained n its pure waste of money, I was refused for visa n then same week I applied again n filled the form by myself, it was approved. They did provide mineral water part of service 🙄
Sorry to hear… Some of my few cents; people normally stay in Switzerland for not more than 3 or 4 days max a week. Which is definitely a mistake as there are lots of amazing places to visit. But when they see long time in one country. They feel you are going for work. Specially when you don’t have an office job. Now if you get a local person to sponsor you; things are different. And yes normally German embassy is a bit easier to get tourist VISA as they get less applicants for tourism. However Germany is also the largest job market in EU; so there can be some confusion if they doubt that you are coming for work. Anyway better to put a well rounded iteanrry with several countries of EU for the VISA. Once you are in; there is no one checking. Sometime you wouldn’t even know that you reached another country!
My friend is German citizen and his family is inviting me for a family program. I'm not employed yet, was a student and still taking a diploma course through a private organization. Now in this situation how should I apply? For the sponsorship which will be better, my dad or the German friend? Thank you so much...
@@mindfully_manali If you can get a sponsorship of your German friend; your VISA is very much guaranteed. I personally sponsored many people and never had any issue of VISA rejection. However; that sponsorship is a bit tricky. You need a letter confirming that he/she will take care of you when you are in Germany. And with the letter he/she has to include his passport and probably also bank statement to proof that he/she can take your responsibility financially. Now that is not something people would do unless he/she is pretty close to you! But if you can get such documents from a residence; you will have a guaranteed VISA.
@@AMPhotography Thank you so much. Yes, he can attach these documents along the letter, that's not a problem. And should it be better to apply through any agency? Later when I'll apply if I ask you regarding the process, will it be okay?
@@mindfully_manali There is not really any additional advantage of going via agency. If you have right documentation; you will get the VISA by applying directly. Anyway you will have to go to VFS Global for the submission of the document. So should be all right!
When it comes to Schengen visa, Italians are pretty chill, czechs too, never apply from France or Swiss until you have a very good reason or you are an architecture student/enthusiast. 🙂
This is pretty scary and sad at the same time. If you know someone who is a resident somewhere in Europe and is ready to sponsor / invite you, I guess it will really help. Hope your next plan is even more exciting than Europe :) Best of luck!
Hey, I think 2 reasons for rejection: 1) Your statement that: "I might go to other countries". This arouses suspicion. Always be precise in everything. Let them know your exact Iteniary along with the return tickets. 2) You told, you applied for 2 months Schengen Visa. I think it is too much for the 1st visit. If for the 1st time, you had applied for 2 weeks or 10 days and then going for the second time for 2 months. That would be safe bet. Just Sharing my observation. Never mind, best luck next time.
Also Switzerland and France are Geographically Neighbors. They would have definitely consulted each other. For next time you can try from any of the East European countries.
I know they have consulted each other and that is exactly what I said in the video. Did you even watch it? It is not my first visit matlab what assumptions 😂
Yes I think so too. Just saying 'I'll be visiting other countries" raises a red flag. Itineraries have to be precise, with hotel/other accomodation bookings clearly mentioned.
This is what exact the same I have gone through. But still other candidates who forged the documents got a visa . What a disheartening thing when you follow the right track .
I recently got back from Switzerland, and i also had some issues while applying for the visa but it got accepted at the very first time as i had an invitation letter from a friend who is a swiss citizen, you should also try to get an invitation as it makes your application much more stronger
That's a great piece of advice...!!! So, if I get an invitation letter from a citizen from any Schengen country, then it'd be easier to get the visa? How much would it help then?
I appreciate you have made this video even after rejection. Every one wants to know the easy way out, but we hardly want to pay attention on one's ordeal. Hope, you will get it next time, may b you can look for a travel agent's assistance who has the good Google reviews.
Come to Australia/New Zealand. Very transparent and advanced visa system. No need to visit embassy as it’s completely e-visa. Also there won’t be any visa stamp in passport so no need to send your passport. I believe here is better as we speak English compared to Europe which may have issues understanding English as it’s not their first language.
I am sure you must be knowing this but just sharing.. you should apply to that country embassy where you would be spending maximum number of nights or first port of entry & never say you are not sure where you will be going after this country. Embassy always needs a concrete plan for your itinerary and day wise schedule. once visa is obtained and your plan is changed due to some other reason, that is accepted and no one will ask but while appying visa, you need to give first day to last day plan with supporting hotel booking in that city/country/place. hope you get visa next time. :)
I can completely understand as my visa just got rejected 2 weeks back for the same reasons, though I am working for a private company since a decade and I had submitted my leave approval letter too, premium services of VFS is of no use , I lost money to it as it was worthless. For me disheartening is that I had booked non refundable flight tickets, I still don't understand the logic behind the requirements of flight tickets and insurance when the reckless consulate want yo reject visa for this stupid reason and waste someones hard earned money , if you have any idea then let me know if there is any grievance system to complaint aginst the consulate
Yes they force. I told my wife not to opt for it but he said it is mandatory (blatant lie) & worst of all because of rejected visa they asked us to collect passport from vfs.
I am pretty sure the guidance you received was wrong. Rejection of past applications does matter, and all the countries within Schengen visa have a central system, so you can't hide a past decision by applying through another embassy. I've several Schengen stamps on my passport and from my personal experience I will suggest following - 1. Apply from embassy in the country which is your port of entry; in case you are visiting multiple countries, apply through country in which you are going to spend maximum time. 2. Documents should be well organised and easily understandable and stamped/validated wherever necessary. 3. You should have more than enough funds in your accounts(disclose all your accounts). You should not have multiple fluctuations in your credit & debits.Big incomings/outgoings becomes a risk. 4. Cover letter is important and it should be neat and precise. Too much info can be fatal. Just give your background, how you are funding your trip, explain purpose and tell them where you will be going and explain them your itinerary and at last show them that you have intentions to return to india post visit eg tell them you have a job/house/parents etc in India and you will come back to them.
And as you said you told swiss embassy you might visit other countries but haven't shown the plans clearly, it is a strong point for them. You need to be transparent and very precise with your itinerary. 3rd rejection may actually put you on their blacklist.
My Schengen visa was reject twice as well. What I learn was that you need to apply from the country where you are spending maximum days as per your itinerary. Also the bookings which you did should not be reserve flight but actual flights (cancellation wali you can select). There should not be any dummy booking of the hotels. Always provide everything in your cover letter with proofs like you did the second time. You applied within a week to a different country which doesn't work because of the same itinerary and flights where you are traveling to another country (Swiss) first. And very important point, while applying all your passport should be there instead of recent one. I still can't believe how your visa got rejected where you have travelled before 🤔🤔🤔
Hehehe let that be a secret 😋 As far as I know giving dummy flights (reserved with valid PNR) is okay. Many friends have taken this route and they got the visa
Dummy bookings work (for flights & hotels). Applied through Greece back in Feb 2020, got a Visa then, applied 2 weeks back through France, got my Visa again in 3 working days. I guess the itinerary is the main thing. I had mine prepared in a very detailed way, including the places and even the monuments that I was going to visit on a daily basis. But you never know, when you have a bad day, things can go wrong irrespective!
Visa requirements do not mandate a confirmed flight ticket. So yes, an itinerary is enough. Why would anyone book a flight ticket only for the visa to be rejected later and face a huge loss
In getting Nigerian grandmother to Australia we had airport transit visa to Amsterdam rejected. Changed air ticket to transit via Abu Dhabi. Lost $3000 AUD on first ticket. It seems to be a very racist process.
per my experience, tourist visa is little tricky.. when I had applied for B1 visa for USA back in 2013, a family of 4 was applying for the tourist visa, parents & the younger boy 11yr old got the visa but the elder daughter 17yr old got rejected, reason being a potential immigrant worker.. so you never know on what basis EU UK USA visa rejection happens, because hardly they share the clear reason.. but all the best to you, the world doesn't end here!
As per my Experience there is No need to take Appointment and walkin is better to avoid delays at every checks. I had applied for schengen visa last year through Sweden Embassy and got the visa within 15 Days only. At that time i was unable to take appointment via VFS Website as SLOT not available. But my travel dates are just 25 Days away and VFS customer care suggested me to visit with all docs as Walkin and it was a nice Experience for me.
So I applied for Schengen visa last august, worst time I could’ve as covid was still on and mine was a fresh passport so I almost entered a rejection without knowing I’m walking into it. A few things I gathered is,you never know with embassies,it’s literally a lot based on luck. That time i was told the person who was inviting me apparently had to get a town hall letter from france govt and an invitation wasn’t valid,it was literally the most stupid thing I had heard. Anyhow,I am never applying via france embassy again,I found it very unreliable and literally no reason for rejection,in that same time, they rejected so many visas of people,it was like they didn’t want tourists at all. God knows why they did it.
This is really sad and frustrating to hear.. I have also heard a similar story from my friend who is already in Ireland. Even she couldn't get the visa easily.. It's so expensive for the counter proposal..
@@myinsights3752 How would they know about your visa application with other countries?? That's none of their business. They will never know unless you open your mouth and tell them!
Hi Radhika, here are my two bits. I think you should have applied with the Swiss Embassy again and tried to resolve their doubts. Its absolutely false that if you are refused by one embassy, that doesn’t impact your chances with another schengen embassy because their system is interlinked. Also you said that you had used different travel itineraries for both Switzerland and France, this in itself is a contradiction of your own statement, such a thing implied to them , that you were really desperate for the visa, which is a very unfavourable situation to be in with an embassy. Had you backed up your application to the Swiss Embassy with the bunch of documents you used for France Embassy , you would have gotten the visa. Also the statement that if you are rejected thrice, you will be banned is absolutely false, unless they feel you forged any documents or misrepresented any facts, they wouldn’t ban you. Thanks Manpreet
Hi, Even i faced visa refusal but it was a little different, could you please share your email id so that i could share my experience and i hope you can help me in overcoming this. Waiting for your response. Thankyou
@manpreet it seems like Swiss Embassy don't encourage reapplying (I got refuse coz I failed to submit cover letter + it not mention in list of their document). I emailed and went in-person to embassy (in USA) and they are just saying appeal our decision. I am not sure when people refer to reapply to Swiss again, In India, do they allow to reapply? I know you can reapply with another Embassy but Swiss Embassy are not saying "Reapply" they are just saying "Appeal" which no one will do.
I also got rejection for a US visa twice, and the reason we found out was 'overdocumentation' they'd start to to suspect your travel motives if you provide too many documents (it can easily come as being pushy)
@@A-G-23 property documents, marriage certificate, educational documents. All that you need is a clear itinerary and anything that proves that you're coming back(e.g leave approval from your workplace)
@@utkarshdharmadhikari6816 Oh! Property documents is seen as overdocumentation too? I had read that is kinda necessary to show strong links to your home country?
If your first got rejected, you must wait for at least 3 to 6 months before submitting the schengen application again. Eu has this regulation in place. You can explore that regulation.
I had a similar experience recently, got rejected twice, once from netherlands and next from France, had to cancel my plans, very disheartening. I am doctor by profession and have a good job, despite that got rejected
What I can say is that France/Switzerland are always very strict, so try for other countries like Denmark/Spain etc. Start your trip from those countries then visit France/Switzerland in the same trip. You need to apply in the embassy where you will be spending the most amount of time, so spend more time in Denmark/Iceland, then you can apply in Danish embassy,
Danish embassy will delay your visa indefinitely even if u have all ur documents..never apply via Denmark .. I have travelled twice.. got Schengen visa from French and Swiss embassy within a week.. but Danish embassy will stamp ur visa late.. n probably won’t be able to travel..

Hello Radhika.- Just before Covid hit, I took my mom on a UK, Europe trip and needed to arrange both visas for her. Based on that I can make some suggestions. First - Switzerland was a BAD option...they are one of the most conservative in immigration/visa issues - all kinds of visas (work, spouse too )...and this is true of quite a few others... Please use a local tour operator's visa services section to apply for EU visa. I used one In bangalore. They are applying for visas day in and day out (for their organized tours)and can guide you reg which country to apply, rules and also papers required based on your specific case. My mom is retired, has a pension and my dad was not travelling with us and I was sponsoring the whole trip. Based on that he recommended France and gave me a list of documents (including a NOC from dad) and once collected he put together a file which is organized as per embassy norms. If you had applied for France in the first place , you would have got it....different countries in the EU have different criteria, timelines, rules, leniency even though they are all EU countries. The choice of where to apply is as important as anything. Also once you choose france its important to know what the itinerary should look like (entry into france first and number of days there etc) even if you are not going to follow that once u get there. I am sure you know some of this but the extra 2-3 k I gave the visa desk at the tour operator was well worth it...he makes appointments/reschedules for you as well. My brother works a corporate job and his EU visit was on a French visa... Both got their french visas in two-three days and so they decide fast too... Sorry for the long reply...reach out if you need contact of visa guy in Bangalore
Sorry guys...I have replied thrice to this thread providing a name but all have disappeared. Looks like youtube has a rule against naming a company/website...Not sure how to give you the info.
Just got denied for Spain visa.. That too with all docs and business visit... Really disheartening after doing all the paper and running around.... Can relate to you🙏🙏🙏
Also, its clear why Switzerland rejected your visa. Schengen visa is one of those rare visa where they give you the visa with confirmed itineraries. If you say you will be visiting other Schengen states then it’s mandatory you show them the flight/train/car bookings and the hotel bookings. Your plan must be clear and confirmed. France rejected your visa because they didn’t want to make Swiss embassy look like fools. Next time you apply for Schengen visa, just make sure your plan and itinerary is 100% confirmed. I have been issued with 20+ Schengen visas. So im speaking from experience. If you need any advice, i can try my best to help you next time.
Very true. I have been to Europe twice (first as student in 2012 for an exchange program, applied to Italy) and then in 2022 (with family, visited four countries for a whole month, applied to Switzerland because we were staying there the longest (8 days)). We showed return flight tickets from India (India to Paris, and return from Athens to India), 5 hotel bookings, 2 Airbnb bookings, Swiss half-fare card, internal railway tickets (eg, Paris to Zurich, Zurich to Milan), one ferry ticket, one internal flight. Everything as if we had already been granted the visa.
I also got rejected 1st time from Swiss embassy. I am a professional CA. So even I didn’t have a corporate job history. The only reason I felt I got rejected 1st time was that I didn’t have a reference (invite) letter. The second time I applied again to the same Swiss embassy with the reference letter and more documentation I.e. even my property papers to prove that I will be coming back to India. Even I am unmarried so we have to put up a very strong case. I feel sad for you, but the only mistake you did was trying with the France Embassy 2nd time. You should have applied to the Swiss embassy only with those detailed documentation, I am sure you would have got the visa. Bt nvm, next time 😊.
I got my German schengen in 5 days. It was strange because it as just post Covid and I was expecting my visa to be delayed because of possible backlogs. I applied from Dubai. Indian citizen, first time in Europe. I showed that I will be spending more time in Germany and then to Switzerland. Put all the itinerary including Germany and Swiss including car rental.
Radhika, Why do influencers like u glorify Europe, there's so much in India, which is unexplored. I know you have been to many such places, but still, India has a lot more to offer, and If u really want to go abroad, then u can visit those countries which are India's friends (eg- Japan, Israel etc). Europeans are racist and don't like the Browns, that's why this visa thing happens to many Indians,u won't find an European with the same problem while visiting India, plz there's so much in India undiscovered, discover it, u can visit states like Odisha, chhatisgarh etc, there are places to visit other than north and north east, plz don't get me wrong,i apologise in advance for it.. This is just a suggestion for my favourite travel influencer, hope u will consider
I have been exploring India for the past 3 years, thanks to Covid 😅 No one is glorifying Europe and we all know we do not have the passport privilege. But it is my dream to visit places like Iceland and Norway not because I want to glorify “Europe”, but I am fond of the unique landscape of these countries
These Schengen countries are unnecessarily making visa rules strict for no reason. Due to this so many genuine travellers are facing financial loses of this visa charges every year. They are taking random decisions and rejecting genuine travellers visa for no reason. Strict action should be taken against such people who are taking these kind of random decisions & rejecting genuine travellers visa how can they rejecting strong profiles ?????

Maintain a good bank balance at the time of applying. 5. apply visa through country where you are staying for maximum days

Radhika you should apply through Spain..... When you saw Doctor Yatri , the famous youtube blogger got rejected by France. There are ties with many La Liga Spainish clubs like Atletico De Madrid with Atletico De Kolkata. They love Kolkata because Spainiards are football lovers and in Kolkata Football is the Number 1 sports loved by billions.
Radhika - What is your travel history, do you have at least 6-7 other visas stamped on your passport? Your initial application was for 60 days in swiss, which means you would have needed to show at least € 100 a day as it's a very expensive country = 6000 euros for your trip. Which means you would need to show an itr of at least 4x of that. Other than above 2 factors, its your covering letter which you say was very strong. It's a tedious process, disappointing.. you can visit serbia meanwhile, it's 30 days visa free, and it's in eur!
I had 15 visa stamps including Italy and Japan. And had 10x of that amount in my bank balance. They just said my purpose of visit is not clear. Unmarried girl problems maybe
Its really sad to hear what happened with you...can see your sadness..we missed some amazing vlogs..Wish you good luck...Hope you'll get visa next time🤞🏻
This is very disheartening. Why indians have to struggle for a schengen visa so hard? when our leaders claim that we become potentially a strong country in the world and we share good relation with europe then such rejection clearly indicates their false elitism. at least tell us the name of the new continent which you are going to explore. i am sure that's going to be super excited.
Sorry to hear that, if u have any family ties they can sponsor you, for example my sister is german citizen she send us (“Aufenthaltstitel”), it is a family reunion permit, then for us we 0nly submit tickets and insurance and we get our Schengen within few days, try to get sponsor if you know anyone in Europe even a friend can sponsor you 😊 hope that helps
My US visa got rejected 4 times few years back & post that I have stopped trying even. Got rejected cos I am unmarried & they clearly told me to first get settled and then apply.
Same here..My swiss visa application got rejected. The reasons they gave are just out of this world. Wanted to appeal for that..but thought..let it be.
6 Schengen Visa with the latest being Swiss and France. I stayed 15 days in swiss with a normal hotel and hostels, still, the avg cost for me with food, transport, and everything was around 3L. Things are expensive in swiss. Also when you show them 2 monthly itineraries its a major red flag, even if you have a strong itr and regular flow of funds, still they consider it as a big suspicious move. Try Applying with an itinerary of 15 days and try to keep everything look normal with hotels, flight tickets, and if possible all internal travel proof. Like swiss pass, half pass or flights if any, They hardly ask for internal transfer but submitting this makes the profile a little better. Also never submit funds just 2-3 days before the submission. They always see how regular are your funds and whether you will be able to afford the visit. This establishes that you will return to your home country either because of a job or business. The purpose should be clear, Itinerary should be believable and short. Once you get the visa and enter the EU, you are free to roam around anywhere in the region as you like, irrespective of what itinerary you have submitted. Don't loose hope, apply again after 6 months or next year.
VFS premium lounge did not help me to get a France Visa. It just helped me to save time and have a cup of coffee. But overall it was a loss because my visa got rejected.
My lived in partner and I were visiting the Netherlands. He just resigned no job, no bank statements. I will be sponsoring our travel. Will that be ok even if he is not my blood-related family? We have CTS of 2 properties both under our name and good travel history(just got home from Thailand). Please advice us how he will be able to pass. Thank you!
What I think.... 2 month visa is very long visa in Europe and cost of stay will be above 10,000 usd or even more. May be your bank statement or ITR not strong. You should plan via Italy visa in place of France.
4:32 I have been through premium lounge service and it was worth it! What happened was - I had booked flights for the same day to mumbai, and my return flight got pre-poned. Since i had my appointment at 11:00am, there was no way I could make it back to the airport on time before 3:00pm. Therefore, I had to opt for premium lounge service and went in by 9am. They ask you for all your documents, they help you out with all the missing documents, and are very sincere and nice to you unlike how she describes it. Plus they have additional laptops at your disposal if you need one. (which u do incase of such emergencies). I went in by 9am, was done by 11am and was free to leave that day. Usually people pay 7k for a student visa I paid 9k including the service and did not have to go through any kind of interview as well. I am pretty happy with the service and most importantly it was totally worth it becase for that additional 2k i saved myself alot of hastle. Imagine if I hadn't opted for premium lounge that day, my enrollment would have been affected, because i am not sure when I would get my next appointment date. Afterall my admissions were at stake here. Anyways... I got my visa within 28 days and am ready to leave in a month. 😊😁 Conslusion - If its a need of the hour and the stakes are high, just get it !
If they reject visa the country should be obliged to back the visa fee and all travelling + food expenses. Otherwise everything Swiss should be boycotted by Indian Government. ❤❤
If you know someone in the country that you want to visit and they can write an letter for you to attach with your application- addressed to embassy that they know you and will be responsible for you, can make things a lot easier. I understand that this might not be always possible.
my husband has got an invitation letter and sponsorship letter for me and I'm applying for 90 days visit visa but will they not reject my visa thinking I won't come back to my country?
I’m so sorry that this happened . Generally it’s never like this but hope you get your schengen visa soon . We were in Iceland this March and covered couple of Scandinavian countries . Got the visa in 5 working days . May be apply for Iceland visa as its super simple and easy . Also I’m curious your next continent visit .. is it South America ??? 😃😃
This "unreliable reason" is common for all. My 5-6 friends and I had to attend the conference in Greece, and the Greek embassy rejected all our visas for the same reason. How is it? We had everything, an Acceptance letter, a Letter of invitation, Invitation organization details, and Registration details . At least a refund of visa fees should be an option for students who don't have a monthly income.
I got Europe visa three times. Last one was for 6 months. Pro trip. Book a dummy booking first 1. Dummy hotel bookings. 2. Free cancellation emirates flexi plus flight. 3. Always go through Greece, Czech Republic, or other weak countries. Once you get the Visa, you can proceed to book your hotels and your flight tickets. Still you will have a month in ur hand to plan it. Show thr maximum stay at these places and once you get the visa change the Itinerary .
europe is giving mostly number 10 refusal.First wait for some time, your purpose should be specific now days and make multi countries itinerary, if possible apply with your friend.Rejections doesn't mean you are blacklisted, you can apply again but wait for some time. Thanks
Hello, my suggestion would be for you to do not rush for the Schengen visa and take some time at least 8 to 12 months for reapplying because as per my past experience my visa was rejected either by the Italian embassy giving me the same reason like your ( purpose of visit is not clear) but I kept patience and re-applied after 6 months with an ITR as well and this time they approved my visa and from then onwards I have been receiving business visa specially within 2 days. Make sure you have the complete list of documents requested by the particular embassy in which you are applying. If your applying for tourist visa then apply in Spain embassy only when there is tourism season. I am sure you will definitely get your visa. Hope this info will help you.
I generally don’t comment but after watching the video I felt I should. Not providing a clear itinerary is a big no no when it comes to any visa and any country. Considering the paranoia of westerners, that is not an option. It was a mistake from your end. And the courier service charge is already mentioned while booking the appointment, so looks like you are not very thorough. Next time probably try being thorough 🤷♀️
Hi Radhika, I went to Vienna years ago....then Schengen Visa was very simple and that time I didn't think of rejection as I was just back from the States then. It is very sad thing to see your vlog of rejection...Did you show your last 3years ITR?
They are not giving visa and therefore they must refund the visa charges . We are loosing our money. Every year highest number of tourists, students and workers are travelling to Europe but sorry to hear your case. Atleast they should not give this treatment to the youtube vloggers.
My visa also got rejected with reasons beyond understanding. I am a govt employee and had showed 6 lac plus in my account. Got invitation letter, I'd card and the property proof of my friend in Sweden. Despite of my being a govt employee I was given the reason that I might not return to my home country India. I had booked confirmed return tickets. Got all concerned letters from my office. But at last rejected with the silly reasons of low balance, travel itinerary not satisfactory reasons. It is really disgusting to have such a visa granting system.
@Radhika Nomllers Me and my husband applied for tourist Schengen visa-Hungary, We got a call from Mumbai embassy stating that our Visa is refused and asked us to withdraw the application, Is it any kind of scam/fake call ? Like I'm totally confused that if they want to reject our application, Why they're so concerned about this and called us specially just to mention the same and asking us to withdraw the application.
For the person who has never been to Europe, listening to your story is really disheartening. I hope you get it through🙏

It’s fact
1) Same thing happened to me in France and Germany. Got rejecteted twice, lost 80K INR as I had everything booked assuming I will get visa. Why wouldnt I ? Eventually My fellow passenger had to go to europe all alone without me and I was heartbroken
2) Next Year applied in Netherlands through Tour operator, THANK GOD they called me for an interview and asked me why my Visa was rejected last year twice. I got a chance to tell my side and I got the VISA with them telling me ALWAYS APPLY FROM SAME COUNTRY AFTER REJECTION
Learning
1) Spend extra money to go through tour company as they process thousand of application each day
2) Indian passport is shite.
3) ALWAYS APPLY FROM SAME COUNTRY AFTER REJECTION

Can u give your instagram id?
could you share your detailed experience how to do Omio app for travelling in france?

You can be rejected any number of times but it doesn’t mean you will be blacklisted. You are banned only if you do anything illegal, have breached previous visa conditions or is a security risk. So you can keep applying without any worries.
Hi Radhika! I am sorry to know of your experience and all the cancelled plans. Applying for Schengen visa can be a cumbersome process & much of it seems unnecessary & bullyish. I've had my luck with 3 Schengen visas as a freelancer and now a resident permit, here's a few things you can keep in mind for your next application:

“ if we had a stronger passport this discrimination would not be there”Nowadays not even getting appointments at VFS at required dates.. and even if we submit all our documents, u sometimes get ur visa stamped late n will loose a lot of money on flight tickets.. what to do? I feel the same after 20 years of travel. Indians are treated like shit abroad. India super power myth is for the bhakts to believe in. Go abroad with Indian passport and they will pull you aside for questioning.
How can India push the EU about travel rights? travellers dont have a right to visit any country. Only if they are given the privilege.
Agreed

Some of my few cents; people normally stay in Switzerland for not more than 3 or 4 days max a week.

Also, why don't you try turkey, go to CZN Burak and try some kebabs...hehe
This is pretty scary and sad at the same time. If you know someone who is a resident somewhere in Europe and is ready to sponsor / invite you, I guess it will really help. Hope your next plan is even more exciting than Europe :) Best of luck!
Yep!! That would be the best bet but what shitty procedure ya! Like why we have to go through so much haha
I had an invitation letter from friend who lives in Netherlands and also rest of the criteria fulfilled yet my visa got rejected.
I did same way.. but rejected
Hey, I think 2 reasons for rejection:
1) Your statement that: "I might go to other countries".
It doesn’t matter if applying for 1st time you ask for 10 days/2 weeks. I applied for 1st time in 2011 and got for 6 months.

Come to Australia/New Zealand. Very transparent and advanced visa system. No need to visit embassy as it’s completely e-visa. Also there won’t be any visa stamp in passport so no need to send your passport. I believe here is better as we speak English compared to Europe which may have issues understanding English as it’s not their first language.
Please can you travel to New Zealand with NZETA visa while you’re not from those NZETA countries
Yes. Gave a concrete two months plan to Switzerland with a request to give a multiple entry visa. But well 🥲
I can completely understand as my visa just got rejected 2 weeks back for the same reasons, though I am working for a private company since a decade and I had submitted my leave approval letter too, premium services of VFS is of no use , I lost money to it as it was worthless.
That courier insurance is not mandatory, but it’s the VFS guy who force you
Yessss
I still can't believe how your visa got rejected where you have travelled before 🤔🤔🤔
100% you are going to Africa I think in Kenya & Tanzania for sure.
Hehehe let that be a secret 😋
As far as I know giving dummy flights (reserved with valid PNR) is okay.
@@Radhika_Nomllers I don't think dummy is a good option.
How much funds did u showed
This is really sad and frustrating to hear..
I have also heard a similar story from my friend who is already in Ireland. Even she couldn't get the visa easily..

@manpreet it seems like Swiss Embassy don't encourage reapplying (I got refuse coz I failed to submit cover letter + it not mention in list of their document). I emailed and went in-person to embassy (in USA) and they are just saying appeal our decision. I am not sure when people refer to reapply to Swiss again, In India, do they allow to reapply? I know you can reapply with another Embassy but Swiss Embassy are not saying "Reapply" they are just saying "Appeal" which no one will do.
biggest mistake is 2 month itinerary
I also got rejection for a US visa twice, and the reason we found out was 'overdocumentation' they'd start to to suspect your travel motives if you provide too many documents (it can easily come as being pushy)

What I can say is that France/Switzerland are always very strict, so try for other countries like Denmark/Spain etc. Start your trip from those countries then visit France/Switzerland in the same trip. You need to apply in the embassy where you will be spending the most amount of time, so spend more time in Denmark/Iceland, then you can apply in Danish embassy,
Also I have seen that for single women it is hard to get visas :|

@Hi Sandeep, Did you reapply after the refusal. I am in similar position, Could you please guide ?
I have been rejected twice what should i do i have given each and everything in detail
@@abhinavs38 What were the reasons for the rejections?
Can you please explain about this reference letter??
Thank you

1. You need actual booking and not just reservations.
2. You need to show a definite itinerary and show hotel bookings as per the itinerary.
3. You need buy insurance before applying for visa.
4. Maintain a good bank balance at the time of applying.
5. apply visa through country where you are staying for maximum days

What is your travel history, do you have at least 6-7 other visas stamped on your passport?
Your initial application was for 60 days in swiss, which means you would have needed to show at least € 100 a day as it's a very expensive country = 6000 euros for your trip. Which means you would need to show an itr of at least 4x of that.
Other than above 2 factors, its your covering letter which you say was very strong. It's a tedious process, disappointing.. you can visit serbia meanwhile, it's 30 days visa free, and it's in eur!
I had 15 visa stamps including Italy and Japan. And had 10x of that amount in my bank balance. They just said my purpose of visit is not clear.

So true. none can stay in Switzerland for longer than about a 2 weeks before dying of boredom. they know this.

What happened was -
I had booked flights for the same day to mumbai, and my return flight got pre-poned.
Conslusion - If its a need of the hour and the stakes are high, just get it !
