Canonically, it *is* Agumon that is this OP. The Royal Knight UlforceVeedramon evolved from an Agumon, not a Veemon.
That's just a fandom myth.
We have no source that says that the Royal Knights' Magnamon/UlforceVeedramon/Imperialdramon PM explicitly evolved from Veemon, and one (V-Tamer / Xros Wars) that indicates that their UlforceVeedramon (Zeromaru) evolved from Agumon instead.
My favorite Royal Knight is hands down Dukemon/Gallantmon. Aside from debuting in my favorite season, I think the reason I actually like Dukemon so much is because he's the least blind of the Royal Knights. As you said, most of them will blindly follow Yggdrasil's orders, and several of them are even willing to commit atrocities for the sake of their own interpretation of justice.
Dukemon, though, is shown to repeatedly defy orders he disagrees with. In the X-evolution movie he brazenly questions their orders to eliminate all digimon bearing the X-antibody, fights Omegamon/Omnimon to the seeming-death in defiance, and then returns as an X-antibody digimon himself in order to save the persecuted X-antibody digimon. In the fifth season of Savers he starts out obeying Yggrdrasil, but he is the first of the Royal Knights (aside from Sleipmon/Kentaurosmon) to see the flaws in destroying humanity. And is a key figure in getting the other Royal Knights to stand against Yggdrasil.
Perhaps, if you look at it philosophically, the reason for this and another reason why I like Dukemon is that he's a virus. All the other Royal Knights are vaccine or data digimon. They're saints. Holy from the start, and, in cases such as Lordknightmon/Crusadermon, will act out atrocities with the view of a holier-than-thou individual. But Dukemon is a virus. And thus can be viewed as the sinner become a saint. The person raised up from an indecent life to a righteous one. And thus, as someone who has been wrong and committed wrong, he understands better what right and wrong really are.
The only other crazy thing about Dukemon is he is the only Virus Royal Knight other than Crusadermon (or LordKnightmon as she has now been referred as). Being Virus types both are easier to corrupt and infect as opposed to Data and Vaccine types. Yet Dukemon has proved time and time again in many of his appearances that he is the most capable one of following his own ideals and beliefs. I love Dukemon as well the others being Examon and Jesmon.
Oh yeah, I forgot LordKnightmon was virus. I realize I was probably over-analyzing, but that's fun to do when you can talk to other people about it. I don't think it discredits my comparison of Dukemon as the sinner-turned-saint, though. More to your point, in LordKnightmon's case it does demonstrate the cruelty viruses are commonly associated with, and creates an interesting parallel between them.
Also, I really like Jesmon as well, and, while I like his design, I feel like if they were going make a digimon inspired by the son of God Himself then they could've done something more interesting with him. Appearance-wise either more humble or more glorious. I'm hoping for a mode or super-ultimate level for him in the future. Maybe King Mode, Adonai Mode, or Resurrection Mode. Lore-wise, which could still be done in the future, perhaps Jesmon should be tied in more with the functionality of the Digital World?
Though that's getting into theorizing and hopes. As he is I still really like Jesmon, and his OS Generics are clearly supposed to parallel miracles given that it just allows him to output more power than he is actually capable of seemingly without limit.
It's funny how Dukemon is the RK that closely resembles a traditional knight and he lives with a code of chivalry and loyalty to one's Lord. But he's the one who always defy Yggdrassil's will in almost any media that features the Royal Knights lol.

Well you dont really have to be psychic to see through yggdrasils bullshit, yggdrasil is literally a selfcorrupting doomsday device. Alphamon also isnt supposed to be under yggdrasils orders and acts more as a babysitter for the other knights so they dont go off on a murderspree, Tri just kinda forgot about that among other things. Same probably goes for gankoomon and jesmon as they are generally down to earth and very much in favor of protecting the common digimon.
So dukemon isnt really alone in his defiance of yggdrasil.
We all do realize that this team was first introduced as genocidal villains, and proceeded to keep that streak throughout future incarnations.
The Royal Knights certainly have very strange installations in all iterations.
It's more like the writer doesn't know what to do or how to write the Royal Knights story because of how insanely OP they are I mean you watch this video so you know how powerful each the Royal Knights are. Heck the only time they work together ALL OF THEM is when fighting the 7 Demon Lords Ogudomon X in X-Chronicle where the story takes place in the old Digital World not involving any Humanity, human partners or the Human World... and not to mention Ogudomon X is like the most crazy broken OP evil Digimon.

In that case he sucks at his job. LordKnightmon and Dynasmon works under Lucemon in Frontier and Yggdrassil almost causes the destruction of Human World in Savers. Maybe there's more but that's all I remember.

Don't care what anyone says, Magnamon is by far my favorite Royal Knight. He's not as powerful as the others but he is so damn steadfast and loyal that he never gives up. Dude is a badass.

Crusadermon and Leopardmon have always been my fav royal knights but honestly I’m loving Examon more recently. Out of all the knights Examon being a literal dragon is just so wild and crazy. Like knights and dragons were always enemies but examon flips that like “Yeah I’m a knight AND a dragon what?”

Basically like you said, the royal knights were created to protect the digital world from evil digimon, that also may had created Homeostasis, and when that is in danger, yggdrasil calls the digidestined, basically to mantain the yin yang of the digital world.
So it works like this in theory
Homostatis is the opposite of Yaggdrasil and knows when drasil does something just for his will
Homostatis is the one who chooses the digi destined but needs drasil to create the said digimon that fit each destined

For me it’s a 3-way tie between all forms of Omnimon/Omegamon, Gallantmon/Dukemon, and Jesmon; the X antibodies are included.
Alphamon is head and shoulders above them all. Alphamon is a control system for the group,meant to control them and keep them from running amok,or put them in their place if they fall out of line.

Frontier ended March 30 2003 while Alphamon debuted around the end of April the same year, so canonically he would be just a legend among the group. He did what his job has him do in Cyber Sleuth helping the player and eventually defeating Lordknightmon,Duftmon and Dynasmon and helping with the Mother Eater.
You forgot about how Alphamon was created solely to act as a catalyst by Yggdrasil, to ensure that neither he, nor the Royal Knights would ever go out of control. He is literally a "deterrent force". It's why he's always absent, because he was created to only appear if either the rest of the Royal Knights, or Yggdrasil himself ever needed to be prevented from taking certain actions.
19:23 about that statement. Actually according to Toei, the Gallantmon in digimon tamers is a member of the Royal Knights. They included this info on the tamers digimon character bio for Gallantmon, which was done three months after the end of tamers series.
However, the story board writer, Chiaka Konaka, of the tamers series, stated in 2018, that when he wrote the story for tamers, the royal knights were not included in his story board since Toei did not properly introduce the royal knight groups until after the ending of the tamers series, which is why they were introduce in digimon anime series of fronitier. Thus when he wrote the story board for tamers, Gallantmon was not introduce as being a memeber.
With that said, despite the error Toei, made by not properly introducing the royal knights into the tamers series, Toei anime are the creators of the digimon francise and own the rights to its distribution, which includes all the anime story boards for the series. So although Toei did not properly introduce the royal knights in the tamers series, Toei, as of 2018, has not made any changes to the character profile of Gallantmon from tamers, and still considers him a member of the royal knight. Which means, YES, the Gallantmon from tamers is a member of the Royal Knights.
Whether or not, Konaka, agrees to this or not, it does not matter, since he does not own the rights to the tamers series, Toei does and they can do with or portray the Gallantmon character of tamers however, they please. Digimon Xros is a prime example of this. So I hope this ends the debate.

The Crimsonmode is a alternative Version but only the X-Antibody Version of Dukemon is realy conectet too the RK, like Futuremode. Owryuken is Part of the RK. So its not good too count alternative Modes too, except for Leopardmode, X-Antibody and Owryuuken.
Sunaki1000 well it would make sense to say *theoretically* the RK versions could potentially reach these modes. For example, the RK gallantmon could become crimson if he fused with grani (i am not familiar with tamers so i can't say much more on the topic) and the RK ulforce veedramon could become future mode (again, i am not familiar with the v-tamers manga so i can't say much more there either). Also, it would be interesting to see imperialdramon paladin mode included in that list, along with all of the X-antibody versions of the RK. What would an imperialdramon paladin mode X even look like??
@@brockbillings4299 you are correct. Also, crimson mode is "Actually" a natural evolution line for the royal knight digimon, Gallantmon, for two reasons. The first ,being that the Tamers Gallantmon, which is capable of obtaining crimson mode, is referenced by the official toei profile page as being a royal knight.
Second, Gallantmon crimson mode is described to be a mode form of Gallantmon when he's unleashed his full power, when his digital hazard core has been sealed. This is canon to his lore as Gallantmon does contain the digital hazard insignia.

The thing is, Paladin mode Needed Omnimon/Omegamon to even exist, and Alphamon Literally Cannot lose if he deems it so.

I've always liked Examon the most out of the Royal Knights. In part because of the mystery behind him, I don't think he's ever had a feature in any anime ever (apparently he was one of many small Examon absorbed by the big bad in XROS Wars but I never watched because that was painful), and there's really not much information about him at all. The other part is because he's a FREAKING MASSIVE BADASS DRAGON! I remember when I first saw him, there was info that his lance stored a specific virus to counter/kill every Digimon out there (can't word it better, but like a virus specifically for each Digimon species), but that has since been redacted- likely due to fixing a translation error.
On top of that, when he was shown in Cyber Sleuth, it did take the power of arguably some of strongest Royal Knights just to beat him (on top of Protagonist, although it's debatable how much effect s/he actually had). Dude has mad power.
Just wish his Cyber Sleuth imcarnation didn't have Okami's Orochi syndrome. By that, I mean Having to Fight him 3 times (Though technically only 2 fights are required to progress unless you want to use Examon yourself, then you need to tackle the Great Challenges) with the only difference being higher stats.
My two faves are Crusadermon and Dynasmon, and not just because I ship them. I have a thing for strong effeminate guys, and I loved Crusadermon's character ark in Cyber Sleuth, the whole mind merge thing was pure existential horror. As for Dynasmon, I love the unquestionable loyalty aspect of his character, and how ready (and happy) he is to go on a suicide mission for his lord. This here is a true samurai, and I hope to see his character explored in-depth in future games and anime. Oh, and I totally ship them,
Royal knights. The only group without any sexualised fanservise.

as soon as i saw hackmon in the first trailer of digimon tri i was so curious about it and everything, and then i bought digimon cyber sleuth and i found out that there is hackmon in it. i instantly fell in love with it and it's backsotry and then there is jesmon, the design is sooooo freaking cool, jesmon turned out to be my favorite digimon of all time and as i saw it in digimon tri i freaked out and was so disappointed we didn't see much of him yet
Honestly, the Royal Knights are basically the Digital World's equivalent of the Knights of the Round Table. The toughest thing to decide would be on who would each Royal Knight be based on. I'm not sure who would be the basis for who but if anybody has a list of what they believe each Royal Knight is based on then that would be helpful.
Alphamon, Omnimon, and Gallantmon have always been my favorite Royal Knights because they remind me of the characters from the Fate series, Arthur Pendragon, Gawain, and Mordred. Though I think if I had to describe at least one of the Royal Knights being similar to a Knight of the Round, it would be Jesmon reminds me of Galahad.

I never knew Alphamon's sword was the GradAlpha, I thought Grademon's was. So I looked it up.
Apparently, Grademon's swords are the Twin GradAlpha, and Alphamon's sword is the Divine GradAlpha. I guess that makes sense, as Grademon digivolves into Alphamon.
Alphamon has two amazing lines to choose from. I love both for different reasons. Though I wish Dorugoramon would get some love.
Dynasmon is straight up op. In his first encounter with emperorgreymon, his primary attack Dragon roar schooled Emperorgreymon strongest attack (nine flame dragons).

I'm pretty sure Jesmon is actually based on d'Artagnan. That's why he's the newest member, and his equivalent to Gankoomon's Hinukamuy is a trio named Atho, Rene, and Por.
Similarly, Gallantmon, Examon, and the empty seat that belongs to Alphamon have notable similarities to Siegfried, King Arthur (and the Welsh dragon), and the seat at the Round Table that was reserved for the knight who found the Holy Grail.
Personally , I really like Crusadermon. I really love his/her way of doing things.

guilmon was made from stray data so its likely his mega form was made purely from lost data after the gallantmon in X evo died. Gallantmon was basically luck of the draw

@@riku9646 Dukemon is a natural digimon. Dukemon and his evolution line were created by Takato only in the Tamers universe. Also the Tamers Dukemon is not the Dukemon that appeares among the Royal Knights.

It's not omnimon. It's omegamon. Why? Because he is the embodiment of the end just as alphamon is the embodiment of the beginning. In the x movie, omegamon stated that he didn't like what he was doing, but thought it was necessary. Thus, why he destroyed Yggdrasil with his move all delete (further proving that he is the embodiment of the end).

Actually they did fix it. The English versions are all referring to him as omegamon. I understand. I grew up with omnimon too... but Omni doesn't really have anything to do with who or what he is.
Carson Edmondson Omni means all. I assume you know that. But when he premiered in the anime he not only had the power of all the digi destined but also everyone in the world. That's why Omnimon really makes more sense.

Idk how the tamers Gallantmon can’t be the Royal one somehow or be a parallel to him, I mean he goes CM which is crazy powerful and recognized as Ultra in the sleuth games. Still, I love the lore break downs in your videos!
Because gallantmon and Omnimon are stated to be good friends, and there’s no way to spin the lore so that tamers gallantmon befriends omnimon, especially since omnimon exists in the tamer universe as a separate entity

Omnimon will always be one of my favorite Digimon so he's my number 1 and my number 2 is Magnamon. I've loved both of them ever since I watched the Digimon movie for the first time.

The number of people hype and love omnimon shows the reason why toei animation would only make shit load of omnimon appearances in every digi verse. And omnimon has an OP form where no one mentions, omnimon alter-b, is "god" level digi like dragonball super, jiren, who can defeat every digi.
Alter-B is to Alter-S what Zwart is to vainilla Omegamon. In reality, both of them are Weaker than base Omegamon because of the fact they're made from BlitzGreymon and CresGarurumon, both weaker subspecies of the main lines. Omegamon X is the strongest of the bunch to date.
Gallantmon is my favorite and Omnimon is my second favorite, both heavily influenced by nostalgia. Omnimon is cool as f* because of the following reasons: he's made of two mega digimon who are individually awesome, he's incredibly powerful, his style is impeccable, and most importantly he uses a sword *and* a cannon as his weapons.
Gallantmon, though. Well, he has a sick-ass plume, a billowing red cape, the potential to ride a steed, the potential to have seraphic wings in crimson mode. The two most important parts, for me, are his shield (I love shields) and the looming threat of his own fall to evil if he loses himself.

Imperialdramon Paladin Mode is my favorite Digimon because it combines all of my favorites into one! From Augumon and Gabumon to Veemon and Wormmon, they Digivolve and fuse into one insanely overpowered Digimon!

It wonders me why, after the creation of Royal Knights, Imperialdramon Paladin mode was never mentioned again...
So I kinda have a theory to what actually happens to him, I may be wrong of course, but I would like to take it as a possibility to compensate for his untold/insignificant disappearance.
What if..
Imperialdramon Paladin mode is *Magnamon*?
After finding all the Royal Knights and choosing who are suitable to be one; he too would question and curious to what Yggdrasil would do to use these Royal Knights *after* preserving peace from the ancient crisis. Thus, he digi-devolved himself so he 'maybe' becomes Magnamon.
Why him? Because he is the closest one to be a legit 'Holy' Digimon and that Imperialdramon was once an evolution line from Veemon, who side digivolved to Magnamon. This would also explain why Magnamon, 'just' through armor digivolve, is considered as a Mega level rather than a Champion level.
Of course, you might say that Magnamon himself also blindly follows with Yggdrasil's plan as shown in the games and series, so that is kinda a big flaw in the theory. But I would like to see that, he did this just to test *other* members to see if he has chosen the digimons that have the *right* sense of justice and *worthy* to be called as a Royal Knights.
Again, just to apologize by making these claims, this is just a theory, so I'm sorry if I'm wrong.
Intresting theory but theres a problem why did he choose to be magnamon magnamon is so weak compaared to other royal knigths unless he hse magnamon to not stand out cause maybe yggdrasilmwould get suspicoius either way nice theory

Then Imperialdramon PM would give his powers back to omnimon so omnimon came be omnimon again and take the form magnamon because it still stronger then normal Imperialdramon. The egg of miracle does let the user miraculously win almost any battle.
The problem with a lot of these things is that they get brought up once and dropped again right after and then there is a new story entry regarding the royal knights that kinda changes previous stuff and doesnt mention other things.
There is no consistent digimon lore, its split across different timelines and sources. Half the stuff listed in older entries is probably retconned to hell and back by now.

Examples include altering the plot, creating/destroying stories, changing speech bubbles, changing the setting, etc. It is a variation of Reality Warping) and is the Royal Knight that's considered the cornerstone of the group's defence. He is the Royal Knight with the toughest defense in the group.

ok, so hold up. how could Impaildramon in Paladin Mode create the Royal Knights when he is a combination of imperialdramon and Omnimon's body turned into the Paladin Sword. something is missing there. neither of these two components exist without the digidestined, Azulongmon giving his one of his orbs to Paildramon, and the world wide web supporting Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon
That's just the one in Adventure. The Adventure one is not the one that founded the Royal Knights.

The problem with all their powers is that it absolutely kills the narrative instantly as they are all invincible so they tend to just be forgotten about in the games, shows and mangas which is basically all of digimon.

Only Omegamon X has the InForce. Base Omegamon's don't have it.
Power levels are very wonky in Digimon World, yes. E.g. Lucemon is a Rookie but since it's a high-ranking Angel Digimon it's so powerful it takes 10 Mega Digimons to defeat and SEAL, not KILL. Outside of Xros Wars that literally just threw power levels out of the window and said "F it, let's make a Rookie Digimon solo a swarm of GranKuwagamons!".

I personally love Omnimon and alphamon cause not only are they both the most badass design digimon but are also beginning and combining of digimons.

In the X movie it was because some of them were revolting and Omnimon wanted to stop them.
In Tri Tai and Matt’s Omnimon wasn’t a part of the Royal Knights so it wasn’t technically in fighting.
Also Jesmon and Alphamon ended up with different goals, how and why Yggdrasil and Homeostasis came into conflict is unknown, and why Jesmon and Alphamon chose the sides they did is also unknown.
Because they all have different views on justice and they all have different agendas. It gets quite political I guess. That's what makes the group so interestin. Instead of having a team of 13 heroic Digimon, it's a mix of strong Digimon with different ideals and how those ideals conflict with one another.
This is just a theory, but I believe that the Royal Knights are based on the Knights Of The Round Table from the Legend of King Arthur. Excluding King Arthur and counting Mordred, there should be exactly 13 knights. For example, Alphamon=Mordred, Omegamon=Gawain, Duftmon=Agravain, Sleipmon=Tristan, etc.....
I say that Alphamon is likely to be Mordred because he has been known to hold the largest record among the royal knights on having raised his blade directly at his king, King Drasil, over a grand total 3 times, with both Omegamon and Dukemon having done so twice each, and at least once for some of the rest.(Though granted, unlike Mordred, he had a pretty noble reason for doing so) Hence earning the title of "The Knight Of Treachery".
Duftmon is Agravain because they were the head strategists of their respective knight orders.
Sleipmon is like Tristan as they're both archers.
Omegamon is Gawain as seeing how the blade of Omegamon's Grey Sword is used for the blade of Imperialdramon Paladin Mode's Omega Blade, similarily, it said that Gawain's sword shares the same name of that of King Arthur's, Excalibur. Hence the name of Fate/Extra's Gawain's Noble Phantasm, "Excalibur Galatine". Coincidence much? Didn't think so.
Of course now that just leaves us with one question on our minds. "Who is King Arthur?"
Good question. Right now I have yet to figure that one out, but the only candidates that come to mind are none other than the god of the digital world, king Drasil because he is the one who is usually seen calling the shots of the royal knights, as well as the founder of the Royal Knights, Imperialdramon Paladin Mode because well, he founded them so it only makes sense.(FYI, I'm betting on the latter).
