Loved this! Finally someone, you, explained weaving in ends so that I totally understand! I’ve made a lot of blankets, scarves, and hats only to find out I’ve been weaving the ends in the wrong way. I made a baby sweater and trying another. I’m sure this one will look better!
I don't care for the snag repair needle because it seems to take up more time in weaving in the ends......but the other methods of weaving in the yarn is ok. And I really like the yarn cutter that's used in this video. Thank You for Sharing this video with us.
Thanks for this, I'm making a thin sort of decorative scarf for my mom, and because it's meant for warmer weather I'm intentionally weaving the fabric to be very loose. My normal method of weaving in ends doesn't work for loose fabrics, it's nice to see how this is supposed to be done.
Oh ta, now I need to buy that snag repair needle. It Will be a timesaver for yarn that splits easily, saving time from having to rip back, smooth the ply and restitch.

You just saved my whole blanket ! I used a new yarn and had no idea that it would unravel the way it has . Caught onto this problem 2k stitches in ! My husband did a surgical knot for me trying to salvage the blanket . However, I have been petrified to snip the final end pieces due to the nature of the yarn. 🙏🏻 Thank you !!!!
Excellent for a newbie like me! Love the snag needle as I have a few short ends as I didn’t want to waste yarn! Arghh the things you learn! I will buy some of those. Also how long should I leave my tails for optimum weaving and hold please and thank k you so much. From Australia 🇦🇺
How does this snag needle result go on items that need more washing? Does it hold up as I love how it would have less yarn wastage and less bulk under th stitches
I probably wouldn’t count on it as your primary means of weaving in ends. It’s always more secure to have a longer end. This is more for those emergency situations where your end is just too short. Or the end pops out after you weave it in, and you don’t want to cut it. Or, obviously for snags.

I agree - it's more of a last resort tool if you get a end that pokes out or is too small to weave in :)

I try to always leave about 4 inches (10 cm) at a minimum :)
