I feel like Sein's brother was capable of curing Stark's poison it's just that because they were adventurers so he wanted to hype Sein up to make them want to recruit him. I do believe Sein is a genius and a much capable priest than his brother but there's no way that the poison was uncurable specially coming from someone who was recognized by the church or something. If I'm wrong then aren't the villagers fucked because that snake must be everywhere in that forest lol Also what a lewd Frieren scene that I regret watching it in the living room smh..
While the translation of "aversion of my kind" isn't far off what Frieren said, there's also another translation which she said "I don't like how similar we are". I think its because, just like in her flashback, Frieren used to live apathetically until she met with Himmel, that is maybe why she wanted Sein to join her party because she wants to help him.
In fact all the german names are attempted to be pronounced as close as possible in the japanese dub, just with a slight Japanese accent (and the fact they're written with katakana means Frieren turns into fureiren)
@@MgoblagulkablongInitial and medial single s is often pronounced /z/ in northern Germany. You’ll also find that Sein is rendered as zaɪ̯n in IPA. So, yes, an English z sound would be accurate. I’m wondering if you’re actually thinking of the /‘ts/ sound used for the German Z, which isn’t what OP has in mind
i started frieren recently ... would have loved to see ur youtube discussion/reaction for these but sucks that the first few reaction are not available anymore
at first, i assumed the title would refer to elves, but i was thinking "she wasn't adverse to Kraft, though." then, however, she says it this episode. "an adversion to my own kind, i guess." one would assume one would be talking about a race, type of artist, or a religion in this moment, but rather, instead, she means on the level of her soul. it's beautifully tragic of a line to show that hurtful feeling of seeing someone with the same problem as you. i really appreciate how the story itself presents the cold sad reality, but presents an uplifting undercurrent. it's really comforting to see a character going through something awful, but to have the opportunity for growth, i think, that's a great representation of 'hope'. a light in a dark area.
@@kemaluge9842 I'm not that good at German, it means "his" or "to be", but g translate says it also means "to be present" or "be in existence" maybe it's not a symbolic names like some others or maybe it's referring to his backstory of just existing and not going after his dreams or smth
@@marinauder "Sein" is litterally just the base form of "to be" in german. I would probably translate "his" more as ""Seine" for example "his clothes" -> "seine Kleidung". I personally would translate "to be present" not as "sein" but instead as "anwesend sein" but on the other hand "existence" could be translated as "Sein" or "Dasein".
@@TheMenticore i thought (Duolingo says) the ending depends on artikel so sein could also mean his as in sein Buch or smth. But yeah, idk what exactly his name is supposed to mean, I was just speculating
@@marinauder Yeay I just remembered that after having posted it. I am sorry it's almost 3am here. "his" can as you said be translated as "sein" for example "his shirt" -> "sein Hemd". I still think in the context to the charackter it's more likely to be ment as the "sein" from existence, but I can't really say the reason for his naming. I'm sorry for the brainfart.
It’s hard to believe the same voice actor is acting for both Sein and Gojou in JJK. They are not very different, but don’t sound like coming from the very same person. How many people can change the voice characteristics without changing the pitch?
Yuichi Nakamura is a wonderful voice actor. I like his TH-cam channel, where you can sometimes hear behind-the-scenes stories about the recording process, which is a lot of fun.😊
Por Himmel... he was so into Frieren that a blown kiss was lethal weapon, and probably Frieren never even noticed

By far the funniest episode such subtle humor but hits so right and still feel like the journey is continuing.

Frierens secret seduction technique was so funny. Seeing how Himmel lost it was hilarious and wholesome
i died lol, this episode was so funny yet so sad.
In German, 'Sein' sounds like zuh-eye-n. The Japanese dub attempts to pronounce it as close to the original as possible.
I am german, "S" is pronounced like S, NOT z. So S-uh-eye-n.
In fact all the german names are attempted to be pronounced as close as possible in the japanese dub, just with a slight Japanese accent (and the fact they're written with katakana means Frieren turns into fureiren)
Except that the katakana spelling of Frieren is 'furi-ren' on the cover
@@Mgoblagulkablong I apologize, it just sounded like a z to my ears, like when I heard 'Seele' being pronounced.

I don't know why but the tiny objects gag they had made me laugh so much.
I dont know why but it reminded me of the cops hat getting bigger and bigger after every cut from scary movie 3 lmao

The axe is probably famous since Eisen used it. Can’t sell famous weapons unless you’re willing to risk Eisen or his fans being unhappy with you
I can imagine Fern being a raging drunk.
Basically Frieren: 😘
Himmel:💀
How leeewd
But imagine Flamme doing this...
i mean, how cute was that?
caught me offguard as hell 🥰

Sein's name is German like everyone else's in the show so it sounds more like [zain]
What does it mean?

I forgot his name but the VA who does Mad scientist Okabe in steins gate is also great and diverse
Somehow, this priest dude's arc reminds me of saji's story and how luffy and the crew got him to join them, it mirrors a lot HAHAHHAAH
I couldn't predict his job, by OP😅
I have not read, but…felt similar atmosphere BOCCHI the Rock a little (same director )
The “seduction” scene in the dub was delivered perfectly. The dub for this show is actually pretty decent.
So Gojo Satoru stop being a sorcercer 😂
"Sein" rymes with vine. The S is pronounced similar to an English Z.
あの時ザインが冒険に出てたらシュタルクは天国に行っていた
葬送のフリーレンはとても素晴らしいアニメだ。
