I’d say to those people, have some perspective.. it’s new technology, not many bands have embraced it yet, and quite honestly the concept is one that personally I’ve thought about many times. Concert festivals happening while the earth is being devastated as if everything is fine.. I’m not joking, like I don’t think about oil spills, but I do think about the amount of electricity needed for the festivals and the resulting coal pollution for that electricity. Quite honestly I think the video is visionary and what, are people honestly saying “you should have used a real oil tanker with a real oil spill”?!?! I mean there are certain concepts that can only be done in AI & it’s far from just some lazy cheap option.
Just using the latest Tech isn't always a great idea. There is art and there is ugly & cheap. There are a huge number of creatives around with digital tools to compose stuff from scratch.

I've never heard this band before today. This song is fantastic! And the video is brilliant too. It captures the creepy "wrongness" of AI in a way that so vividly compliments the song. I stumbled upon this trying to find my way OUT of the new Pearl Jam song (meh), and I'm excited to see what I've been missing. ✌

yeah for as much as ai is what it is... the visuals resonated all too much with me. being from just up the river and seeing the before and after effects of just a single tankers cargo upon the environment.... I guess nature has basically overcome the setbacks at least locally in general. so yeah cudos to the dandys for throwing an event straight out of my dreams. even if its only the electronic dream of an electronic dreamer @&^$

If you want to see the real scenery, head to the Oregon Coast - haystack rock seems to have been sampled in a lot of these images and the AI text almost made sense at one point and it said "OREGON" on the side of the ship. I have seen concerts during tsunamis in my dreams as well...seems it's a common dream. Also I'm sure the "New Carissa" being very clear text wasn't an accident.
I really love you guys, i always have. and i also love money, so i get it but i personally, casting in my vote, do not love ai. I could tell instantly seeing the thumbnail and the 3 and 5 legged figures on the beach, and the drummers drumming with guitars. ai is a tool that novel and humorous, just fails and drastically falls short of our needs. even in 10 years when all thats fixed, we're still going to notice its essence in atmosphere and style. i put you on to listen to YOU and to see YOU not AI, I can generate my own on my little chitty pc i cannot generate you or your art or your vision give us more of what we want and you'll keep us for another 25 years been a long ride and im glad, and proud to still be riding , much love
I really enjoy it. This is a fun change from their recent stuff. I feel like the main reason I like the Dandies is their range, so it's nice to hear something getting into new territory. Their country tracks are probably my favorite but I am still down to hear a bit heavier stuff. Interesting collaboration too; I did not expect Slash at all.
I totally agree- for anyone familiar with their entire catalog, that DW range is pretty wide and wild. And on Slash, yeah like no one expected this! What I did HOPE for though was a bit more of his virtuoso signature riffs or solos.. unfortunately this feels more like he was a consultant making recommendations than walking in and ripping it in a Lenny Kravitz “Mama Said” grade collabo

Super interesting and progressive video technique.....This is doing something more than just generative AI, it's blended in with motion graphics and what feels like real footage processed to look like AI - really interesting blend of technology with some 'trad' rock music....as well as the clear message/warning for how messed up we are.
