The turn signals day time running light don't work because they don't come wired right from the factory. They should come with 2 seperate negative wires. As soon as you wire the one negative it comes with to the relay you end up with flashing lights.

Following! I ride in the country and small roads are 50mph, highway is 65mph, so I will have cars up my rear, mad at how slow I am going. When I do 55 in my car people flash their lights at me, lol.
Damn NJ moped law requires it to have pedals, but I want this thing so bad. Love to see you modding it up, I might have to start doing the same to my Ponto Go soon, need more speed :)
Well, off road shouldn't be an issue but yeah probably strict for street. I used to live out out in South Orange but didn't really get into ebikes until I moved to MI. Modding the Ponto sounds fun, definitely lots of parts out there to do it!

This is great to see! I just got mine a few days ago and was wondering about turn signals and upping the power to make ot work on the street. Any thoughts on a "plug-n-play" harness to avoid voiding the warranty? Great video!
Not as far as I know. EGO markets to a very broad consumer base so their hardware is locked down for lots of legal reasons. Surrons, Talaria's etc are marketing to a very different consumer base so whatever restrictions they have on them are just a cover. They're meant to be easy to bypass. But we'll see.
Hey i really wanna buy one and im also in Michigan but the legality has me very concerned im gonna waste my money. I know it comes with a horn, and the mirrors are no problem, but could you further explain how to install the turn signal?
My dad ordered it and should get it soon. Anyone knows a good lightweight hitch carrier for it ? Otherwise might need to make a custom one for it... Moreover, how to clean it once done some off-road without using pressure wash/water hose since it's only IPX4 rating ?

Mount some pedals on it somewhere. Doesn't say you gotta pedal it does it?

I've used the Black Widow aluminum moto carrier with the EGO. Under $200 on Amazon.
can you attach a bike carrier trailer behind it, to tow my dog around.
You could probably rig something to the frame but EGO hasn't released anything that's meant for towing.
