@@bullywhispers9544 When Tony wants to kill Phil, why does he put Paulie in charge of organizing everything? It is Tony who is in contact with the Camorra, Paulie cannot call Annalisa.
Butchie is the most Machiavellian. The Little man killed Phil and he had Tony Soprano hit. Phil was blind to the inside threat that Butchie posed. Remember Butchie and Tony in the hallway of the hospital when Phil was sick? Butchie and Tony were squared up and they were both sizing up the other. It's really funny the juxtaposition of size when the two were bumping up against each other. The Little Man was not afraid of the big man, and this is the initiation of the duel between Butchie and Tony.

@@bullywhispers9544 yeah dude, keep making good content about good tv and I'll be here. And I've seen the Wire many times. If you need help writing, hit me up. If not, I'll see you in the comments
The comparison of characters in my opinion that compare the most between the wire and the sopranos is Stringer Bell and Johnny Sack. Both played the number two role but swore they were smarter then the person who played the number 1 role. As both series get deeper you can see that even though Stringer and Johnny was bright with talent they weren’t as wise as Avon and Carmine. Both put things into position to remove their boss from the top position so they can take that roll. And both saw aspects of the organization but not a deep enough understanding of to avoid they’re demise.
I know this might not be in your usual scope but I would absolutely love it if you released some Deadwood content. It's such an amazing series and there's hardly any videos about it that I could find. I know it's a long shot but I had to ask!!

Junior: "With a layer of semen, right below the basil?!" Bobby: "Yeah..." Junior: "That's Phil's Manicotti!" Bobby: "Junior... You always think the worst of people!"
Phil was the exact opposite of Machiavellian. Literally everything he did was centered around emotion & vengeance, he wasn't calculated in anything that he did, he was simply an angry old bitter Boss who liked to flex his muscle. His own Capo's gave him up because of how bad & undiplomatic he was as a leader. His refusal to come to a common ground, his lack of respect for the New Jersey family & is overall blood lust to be an "Old school" Boss lead to him making some really terrible decisions which ultimately resulted in his demise. Refusing to talk to Tony & starting a War was easily the dumbest move he made, he was cutting off his nose to spite his face & left himself with no other options on the table, he created a zero-sum game that no one could win. That's awful leadership.
Phil has a serious darth thanaton thing going on when it comes to mafia rules and traditions. He preaches about their importance and pays superficial heed to them, but as soon as its to his benefit or the rules start working against him he ignores them and does as he pleases
Open war between 2 different families without commission approval (which, for several obvious reasons wouldn't ever in any situation be "ok'd") would result in a rarely ever before death sentence for 1 of the bosses (in this situation neither would be deemed to be within there right which would only be to defend ones self and family "self defense"). Or in a truly never before death sentence for both bosses.
Phil seems like “Here’s what happens when you take up the philosophy too later when your past your prime and behind your times”. Then again, how he get pinched for the 20 yr deal? They probably caught him with a Tommy gun and moonshine while wearing a pin striped suit 🙃
Phil was Ceasare Borgia, the "Lion/Wolf" used by Machiavelli in his writings. A brave, cunning political animal who was left to die during a campaign by his own allies who deemed him far too dangerous
Phil, for all his disgust with Johnny for crying at his daughter's wedding, makes too many decisions based on emotion. Vito... his name... his brother Billy.... whatever happened there...
Doc didn't just take food off his plate, he asked about Phil's wife while doing it, potentially indicating that he could take a bite out of her too if he wanted. Aharmless show-off to Phil to cement his position as boss from Doc's own perspective maybe, but a deadly one. In mastermind Carmine Lupertazzi Jr.'s words: Doc showed a lack of respect.
The words from Phil 2 Butch when this is over we got to sit down is what got Phil killed. Then Butch kill Tony. the ending of the show wasn't that hard to figure out... I also heard a rumor that Phil did 20 years in jail
