I removed XREAS from my 5th Gen LE and replaced it with the basically the same setup here, 5100’s with springs to give it a 2.5” lift. No regrets! I love the 5100’s.
I have an 06 4Gen Sport that I put the Bilstein's on. I bought it 2 years ago with 62,800 miles on it, going on 81,000 almost. My problem, the frame is bad and I'm having it replaced with a Southern Frame. That's the only downfall to buying in the NE.
We are doing the exact same lift, tires and wheels upgrade to our 2004 black sport edition 4x4 V8 4Runner. We bought it new in 2003; it has 177,000 miles on it. It’s had three timing belts, two water pumps and brakes. I just ordered Bilstien 5100 shocks and struts. We ordered 17 x 9 Fuel Sledge wheels and 265-70-17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I replaced the suspension three years ago with KYB struts and springs, and shocks. I’m only going with a one-inch lift in the front with the 1500 Bilstien. Anymore front lift, I would think I would have to drop the front differential. I don’t want that stress on the front axels because it is 4WD all the time. We love your channel!
Awesome! I was thinking of either the Bilstein 5100's all around for my 5th gen, or 6112 up front and 5100 rear, using stock springs. I won't be getting front or rear bumpers. Just ride height and replacing with better shocks.
I've got 5100s and rear springs waiting to go in, gonna get front springs so I dont have to change the perch. Awesome to see how it looks, also thinking about doing the break lines!
I removed XREAS on my 5th Gen Limited at 2K miles. Wish you got adjustable suspension. My 5th gen TRD ORP is with OME and waiting for Dual Adjustable Elka. Its a looong wait but my 4x4 shop say its worth the wait vs something like Kings with single adjustable.
@@TRDJon yeah, its a long wait. I ordered in August and still waiting. Even if it arrives there will be a minimum 1 month wait time at my 4x4 shop to get an appointment. I really hope the big money and long wait is worth to have "Cadillac like ride quality" as my shop says.
I've got to upgrade the rear springs and break lines too. I've already installed the Bilstein 5100 and very satisfied. Been following your channel since I also own a 4 and 5 gen 4RUNNER. Hopefully you'll do a video on interior, front headlights and rear taillights for the 4 gen.

I have a 2006 4runner 4WD, I have factory. I drive on ruff washboard roads and pot hole gravel roads daily at least 10-30 miles a day. This is my every day driver. I am looking at the Bilstein 6112 in the front, 5160 in back with some new springs to hold a better load in rear I carry alot of tools. Would this be a good set up. Any suggestions. So far the kit is around 1500.00 I am going to install myself and have a alignment done after.
Let say I went one step down in springs because I'm not adding weight would it still give me the same height? Or is it higher because of the more heavy duty springs?
Hey Jon did you by chance use the 1/2 lean spacers? I see that yotamafia has them on the suspension that you used as an option. If you didn't is there a reason why? Thanks!

Do I have to do that when I purchase and install the Bilstein 5100's and EMO Coils. I appreciate your time. Regards, - Edgar
Ours had the xreas. I show in the video how to take the suspension out and remove that system. Also you don’t need upper control arms, but it is highly recommended

Is it necessary to get longer brake lines for a 1 1/2 in lift in the back and 2 1/2 in front ?
No it is not
