The three gals other than the drummer have been at this together since middle school. They started as a Maximum the Hormore cover band, but quickly found their own "voice."

Welcome to _Harajukucore!_ Thanks for reacting to Hanabie (Ha-na-be-eh). They refer to their distinct sound as Harajukucore, a mix of metal, punk, electronic, pop, and rap. The name comes from the Harajuku district which is famous for its trendsetting street fashion, music and art scene. You can definitely see and hear those influences in the video. Hanabie are Matsuri - guitar, vocals, compositions. Yukina - clean and harsh vocals. Hettsu - bass and chorus. Chika - drums. Nobody is expecting those vocals from Yukina. She's 4' 10'' and roars like 10' tall grizzly bear. And nobody is expecting a song about sugar addiction to go this hard, either. That's a running theme with this band, they tactical a lot of everyday problems in the most brutally entertaining way possible. You are gonna love this band. Here's a few song recommendations for you - 'Otaku Lovely Densetsu', 'Be the GAL - early summer ver.', 'NEET GAME', 'Envy', 'Reiwa Dating Apps Generation', 'Tousou' (run away).
Great to see, that you got addicted to Hanabie, too. 😁 "We love sweets", "Otaku Lovely Densetsu", "Dating App generation": I *LOVE* the way they ironically address issues of current Japanese society, with Metal excellence. They produce earworm after earworm. "We love sweets" is a song on sugar addiction (who would have thought that?) and on the daily sugar-coated Japanese society also addicted to "kawaii" (= cute) situations and looks. @@TJandTheGringa "Otaku Lovely Densetsu" is a song on digital media addiction. Otaku is the name of a highly popular video game in Japan, and "densetsu" means something like "legends" in Japanese. Yes. True. The Brits and Americans had their time. Now the pendulum of band relevance has moved to Japan. For sure. And these all-female bands like Lovebites, Nemophila and Hanabie are just the _tip_ of the iceberg. We all just _scratch the surface_ . Umpteen other ambitious bands move to the top. _Insane_ . Holy moly.
Saw them in concert last year in Atlanta, freaking awesome. They hit even harder in person, and honestly made the other performers feel underwhelming. Second favorite concert of all time. If you guys really enjoy this I can tell you right now, Crystal Lake - Into the Great Beyond. They're another metal core band from Japan, you will not be disappointed, guaranteed!
Hanabie (pronounced HAHN-a-bi-ǝ) This is what you get when Babymetal and Maximum the Hormone have a love child. They actually started in high school, playing MTH covers. In their short existence, they have already published three album and toured Europe and North America. Clearly one of THE new metal bands to watch. Most of their songs are quite pointed, concerning social issues like dating app abuse, sexual harassment, drugs, human trafficking, cheating etc. “We Love Sweets” is about having an unhealthy relationship to sugar. Members: Vocalist (Harsh, rap)- Yukina Guitarist and Clean vocals - Matsuri Bassist and backing vocals - Hettsu Drums - Chika (replaced Sae in 2023) (Their producer, Gaku Taura, is also the drummer for Crystal Lake. He sat in on drums for Hanabie when they were between full-time drummers.) It's like your kindergartner went to school and got processed by a demon 😂. Next band Galneryus - Angel of Salvation - Live Shibuya Kokaido Tokyo 2014. You get to experience the Yngwie Malmsteen of Japan
I saw Hanabie live in their 1st US tour last year, they crushed live, so much fun. Unfortunately they do not have much in proshot live. Here is a pro shot live: Pardon Me I Have To Go Now-th-cam.com/video/vEzXfJ1-oGk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=L6CUtP7ilX_AmIAT
I guessed it would be Hanabie. Or Asterism (CHURCH live in studio session, please). Or maybe Otoboke Beaver who are PunkAF (like the 1976-79 Punk I pogoed to in my teens- fast, hard and non-stop). Or the choreography and rap of Atarashii Gakko. Or Babymetal live. Or Ningen Isu's solid Metal. Or....well, anyway, Hanabie was definitely on my list. Hopefully all the others from Japan will be on yours as I'm loving your reactions to the best music scene on the planet.

You want more? Here is a list of my favorites. NOTE - its all music videos. They are the best because they are so fun and has superior sound. You can, of course, look at live videos, but they generally are not so good. Some are fun though. You have to understand that Hanabie is a new band. BTW - those that have been to Hanabie concerts love it, so we are probably in for a treat when the good live ones arrive. * Ado * Be that gal, early summer version * NEET game * OTAKU Lovely Densetsu * Pardon me, I have to go now * Reiwa dating app * We love sweets
NOTE - in two of those videos the growling singer Yukina kills a guy. BTW - Yukina and Matsuri has made some short and lovely duets. * アニマル/ DECO*27 Coverd by Vo. ユキナ& Gt./ Vo. マツリ * キメラ/ DECO*27 * Bubble feat.Uta / Eve covered by Vo.ユキナ&Gt./Vo.マツリ

Please, if you like girls growling, try band "Broken by the Scream". Also, Japanese band with awesome man's trio (drums, Guitar and bass), but also with 4 girls vocalist. Catch is that 2 of them are "normal" vocalist and 2 of them are "death core section", one with high-pitch screams and other one with low (and I think that), low growls. Sounds completely crazy, but it's interesting like hell! For start, I recommend one older song "Sayonara Birthday", but really you already knows that all Japanese musicians doing only good songs! Try them!
I know a few guys that have been to their shows and loved it . Another band you will definitely like is Unlucky Morpheus. Try their video Cadaver/Revadac , get the version that has the sheet music scrolling at the bottom. Being a musician you will definitely appreciate the skill it took to write it.
Hanabie (pronounced ha-nah- bee-EH) formed as a high school extracurricular music club that played covers of their favorite band called Maximum The Hormone. Here's my favorite Maximum The Hormone song, Yoshu Fukushu. It's about the singer being bullied in school when he was a kid. th-cam.com/video/beN5ep5MrdY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=0pHNwxqj9bkarjkb Here's a short from Hanabie's TH-cam channel showing the crowd at the Sacramento show where I saw them. Yeah, that one is pretty damn cool. The problem Jiluka seems to have with their recent material however is that all songs utilize the exact same elements, just shuffled around, with Venom being the best arrangement out of the bunch. Sena needs to push a reset button or two soon otherwise this approach is inevitably going to backfire...

I introduce her both ways for that reason but originally it was always la gringa and that's the way I address her most of the time 😋.. also she always believed the name sounded better that way.

Yes. _Insane_ . Holy moly.
I saw them live a couple of days ago in Italy… My dream is a collaboration or a concert with BAND-MAID!
I was at that concert too! So good!
Hanabie (pronounced HAHN-a-bi-ǝ)
This is what you get when Babymetal and Maximum the Hormone have a love child. Members:
Vocalist (Harsh, rap)- Yukina
Guitarist and Clean vocals - Matsuri
Bassist and backing vocals - Hettsu
Drums - Chika (replaced Sae in 2023)
(Their producer, Gaku Taura, is also the drummer for Crystal Lake. He sat in on drums for Hanabie when they were between full-time drummers.)

Late to the party. Saw them live at the Nova Rock festival, 3 weeks ago. They where a great surprise throughout their show. Thanks
Well they ate about to tour the US again very soon!
Hanabie = Harajukucore = 🔥🔥🔥🔥 To experience them live, you really have to go and see them. The videos just don’t capture the raw energy and atmosphere Hanabie bring to the stage.
Watch their live in USA tour, Canada tour, video upload by fans....
It's like your kindergartner went to school and got processed by a demon 😂.
Yeah, Asterism and Otoboke Beaver are a must at this point.
@@bandmaidfanATL Asterism's instrumental stuff is exceptionally good, especially the live in studio sessions. They added vocals a couple of years ago and that works well too! OB are touring the UK at the moment and will be appearing at Glastonbuy Festival...which one ay I'd like to see Band-Maid and Lovebites headlining!
I saw and meet Hanabie back in May of this year they are one of the best bands in the world 🌎 live meeting these amazingly talented ladies was also amazing experience they are so much fun on stage member are Yukina - harsh vocals, clean vocals (2015-present) Matsuri - guitar, clean vocals (2015-present) Hettsu - bass, backing vocals (2015-present) Chika - drums (2023-present) they had two drummers 🥁 Before Chika official join Hettsu my favorite member of the Hanabie you call them Hanabie eh not Hanabie but they are freaking amazing 🤩 live!!! Any song by them are awesome 😊🤘
Ha-nah-bee-eh! Add the "eh" at the end, like you're Canadian!😂
"Pardon Me, I Have to Go Now" next, please!🙏
That's 3 off of my essential J-rock list!
Let's go for 4 for 4.
Nemophila "Revive", at your leisure! 👍🤘✌️👊😎
All of those are going on the list!
They just wrapped up a US tour, saw them live two weeks ago! Great show, just a continuous mosh pit \m/
First comment 🔥 regard from Bali, Indonesia

Harajukucore 🙌. Hanabie (4 syllables, Ha-na-be-eh) are 🔥🔥🔥. Yukina is a fireball with incredible harsh vocals. Matsuri writes phenomenal songs and killer guitar riffs. All their songs are great. Maybe try Pardon Me I Have to go Now or OTAKU Lovely Densetsu next.
Thanks for the pronunciation of the name !
1:02 There it is, I always come to these videos for the moment Yukina lets out that scream and the reactors eyes get wide
* Ado
* Be that gal, early summer version
* NEET game
* OTAKU Lovely Densetsu
* Pardon me, I have to go now
* Reiwa dating app
* We love sweets
NOTE - in two of those videos the growling singer Yukina kills a guy.
BTW - Yukina and Matsuri has made some short and lovely duets.
* アニマル/ DECO*27 Coverd by Vo. ユキナ& Gt./ Vo. マツリ
* キメラ/ DECO*27
* Bubble feat.Uta / Eve covered by Vo.ユキナ&Gt./Vo.マツリ
The lead singer Yukina will crowd surf at some shows like this 3x camera angle video compilation on a USA tour.
MSDCF0416 - HANABIE. ~Crowd Surf~
She's a fireball! .. Love her!
Re. composition: Most rock songs go something like ABABCAB; this goes ABCDEF and never repeats itself.
Def checkout their song Be the Gal (early summer ver) perfect summer jam!
I would like you to listen to the songs of these Japanese bands as well.

Thank You !! Stay Tuned !! 🍻

In a similar vein yall also need to check out SAISEIGA -- Jumble

If you would like to see an interview that I did with them a few weeks ago please check it out or possibly react to it, I would love to know what you thought of my work. My name is Joe from Fox5NY and I can not leave a link but if you search this it will come right up. Thank you in advance Joe

Try them!
Maximum The Hormone next!
I know a few guys that have been to their shows and loved it . Another band you will definitely like is Unlucky Morpheus. Try their video Cadaver/Revadac , get the version that has the sheet music scrolling at the bottom. Being a musician you will definitely appreciate the skill it took to write it.
We're beyond excited to hear this!!..Stay Tuned 🍻
Hanabie (pronounced ha-nah- bee-EH) formed as a high school extracurricular music club that played covers of their favorite band called Maximum The Hormone. Here's my favorite Maximum The Hormone song, Yoshu Fukushu. It's about the singer being bullied in school when he was a kid. th-cam.com/video/beN5ep5MrdY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=0pHNwxqj9bkarjkb
Here's a short from Hanabie's TH-cam channel showing the crowd at the Sacramento show where I saw them. Multiple Walls of Death, crowd surfing, and mosh pits. th-cam.com/users/shortsOmGNtus15vw?si=bdPNlnNC5dwYdjMY
If You want some really heavy complicated stuff from Japan. JILUKA / VENOM is the path to go...
Here is probably one of the best metal bands from Japan. -- Unlucky Morpheus ---
"Black Pentagram" Official LIVE >>>> th-cam.com/video/RUiRlUGMTwY/w-d-xo.html
one more in your journey to the most talented Japanese groups, all you have to do is try ASTERISM ("Rising Moon" or "dawn" to start) and you will have completed the experience.
Broken by the screamもクレイジーですよ😆
*Gacharic Spin「MindSet」* please 🤗
We are on it ! Stay Tuned

If you like tempo changes, check out Maximum The Hormone
We actually have a few reactions to them on this channel check them out!!

DORAEMON !
Nice T-shirt !
🤘🤘🍺
I'm so curious! Why not "La Gringa"? Is that right? My Spanish totally sucks! But "The Gringa" is throwing me off. lol
I actually introduce her as la gringa most of the time the reason it's not la gringa is because the @name wouldn't work when we created the channel for some reason .. I introduce her both ways for that reason but originally it was always la gringa and that's the way I address her most of the time 😋.. also she always believed the name sounded better that way.
@@TJandTheGringa thanks! Yup, I’ve heard you introduce her in both ways. Now, I know that somehow it didn’t work as a Channel name.
🍻
Hanabie makes Slayer sound like Taylor Swift.
😂😂😂 💯💯💯💯🎯
With Hanabie you have now met (one of) the best Japanese female metal bands. Apart from Maximum The Hormone, no one comes close to the creativity of Hanabie, with the many changes in speed and style and mixing of genres. You should definitely check out the slightly older L.C.G before you get to the new songs like Pardon Me, I Have To Go Now or Otaku Lovely Densetsu.
こんにちは、ドラえもん!
Saw Hanabie. open for Jinjer Thursday night. They decimated the place!
Hey guys....love the channel !!!!! Im a huge Band maid fan....so this isn't really my cup of tea...but they do jam !!!! There is a band that got
me into metal and its NEMOPHILA. A all female metal band made up with an Allstar cast of the top metal musicians from Japan. Check
out Revive MV....will blow your mind. Singer is awesome , guitar work off the charts and the drummer is one of the top female drummers in the world.
