"I don't feel like I've ever heard this" What I really love about these bands, these girls and Band Maid especially is that it is very familiar and feels like stuff you've heard and loved in the past but at the same time it sounds totally new and fresh with elements you've never heard before. It's just amazing.
Let's face it, a huge wave of great rock music is coming from Japan. They are now 60´s Britain. Everything interestingly creative in music lives there now.
"I wanna start the song again, but I don't wanna put you guys through that..." Me: it makes no difference when I listen to this song at least three times a day as it is.
Yukina (the lead vocal), the one on only able to double kill, once by her scream, a second time by her adorableness. Finally she is not the only one, but she is the perfect demonstration ^^
I first heard of Hanabie a month ago, and their debut (commercial) album Gir's Reform Manifest is now my favourite album of all time. Every single song is bomb and incredibly creative.
So glad this one came up! It's the definitive song of literally EVERYTHING going on musically in Japan right now in 3 minutes. It's just brilliant stuff.
Compulsory music education in Japanese primary school is finally paying off i.e., Akane playing trombone, probably translates a musical mind to her drum compositions, Po!
Thank you for your reaction video. I am very happy for you compared the verse part of this song to Perfume. The multi-dimensional aesthetic concept makes your evaluation more objective and credible. Nice work dude!
yes there are no repeat part, each member have different singing the order is like this : - maind vocal with growl - bass - guitar - back to main vocal with growl - again main vocal with cute voice and end it with growl
They are Even now female college students. They formed a band with club activities of high school students. They won second place in a band contest exclusively for high school students. If the world Metalheads supports them, they can go more higher.🤘🤘🤘
yes, same as bandmaid's kanami, their song were mostly composed by guitarist Matsuri... their doing this since high school. and thanks to taura the drummer from crystal lake who gladly produce their song.
Woohooo yeah finally...tq Champ...it is a new band brought up by Gaku Taira of Crystal Lake as their producer...really hook to these girls from the first time i heard Yukina screaming 😁😁 pls react more to these girls...thanks again Champ 👍🏻✌
HANABIE is such an amazing new band, 2 years now I believe. Super talented, fun and unique!! Yukina, the leads growl/ screams are surprising and I feel like the high pitched voice things she does is like Japans type of Metal screaming. Hope you check out more, LCG, Reiwa D.A.G. or even a recent cover they did for “Ado”!
This band is Hard Rock / Loud Core. The reason is that it is not a twin guitar, there are few solos, and the lyrics are close to street style. A similar band in Japan is "MAXIMUM THE HORMONE".
Nice reaction !!! 👍🤘😄 What's cool about Hanabie, it's Metalcore, but it's something else. For the next reaction, try seeing L.C.G. The members are Yukina (Harsh vocals), Matsuri (Guitar & clean vocals), Hetsu (Bass & chorus) and Sae (Drums). The Band initially joined in 2015, when they were still in High School. Sae, the drummer you saw here, joined the group in October 2020. Before, they used backup drummers. I like to think of them as Nemophila's younger sisters. And I don't think it has anything to do with the Perfume group, just because Hanabie has a cute part. As for Passcode and Broken by The Scream, they're pretty good too. But it's different things, these two are Underground Idol, while Hanabie is a band.
Some Japanese bands. Take your pick: BAND-MAID [All their songs... really!], LOVEBITES [Raise some Hell, and all the other songs], MAXIMUM THE HORMONE [Yoshu Fukushu], CROSSFAITH [Catastrophe], SiM [Killing Me], NINGEN ISU [Heartless Scat], UNLUCKY MORPHEUS [Black Pentagram], YOUSEI TEIKOKU [Astral Dogma], COLDRAIN [Die Tomorrow], CRYSTAL LAKE [The Circle], GIVEN BY THE FLAMES [Ronove], ANGRY FROG REBIRTH [2Step Syndrome], SILENTLY SHOOTING TRAITORS [Manipulate], ALDIOUS [Dominator], BRIDEAR [Light in the Dark], CINQ ELEMENT [Destiny], MARY'S BLOOD [Marionette], GRAUPEL [Bereavement], DOLL$BOXX [Take my Chance], SOKONINAR [Tenohira De Odoru], HELLO SLEEPWALKERS [Flying Saucer], TELECiDE [Tied up Memories], NEKO [Ghost on a Record], ROTTENGRAFFTY [Hallelujah], LYNCH [Devil], DIR EN GREY [Ningen wo Kaburu], X JAPAN [Kurenai], DAZZLE VISION [Second], JUPITER [My Enemy], GALNERYUS [Angel of Salvation], BLOOD STAIN CHILD [Del-Sol], NEMOPHILA [Dissension], DADAROMA [Lucid Dream], and many many more...
Yukina, the vocalist, reminds me of Johannes from Avatar with all the different voices she has. BTW, if you haven't seen Avatar yet, you should check them out.
Yesh!!! Now we're talking. Actually they really aren't new, they existed in 2015, it's a highschool club band that covering Maximum the Hormone songs, then in 2017 they won a competition, that's where they started to get well known, and started gigs. They just have an EP and a Full album that had released just few months ago(February), that Sae(drummer) she's new, just joined in last Oct of 2020. Yes it was Gaku Taura(support drummer) of Crystal Lake who help them to produce their music, that's why they making name right now. I second/third all the suggestions from Hanabie here, mostly the song 'Reiwa dating apps generation' (Matching Sedai) and the cover from Ado(Odo), all is fun good! I'll subscribe just because of this, hope more will come. Ciao!
I’ve just never been into screaming as the main vocals. I love it when it’s the backup vocals. Thursday, Thrice, Saosin do it just right for me. Edit: Alright, I saw it. They kind of remind me of blessthefall musically.
I never was a big fan of metal and rap, but one song caught me and that was 99 Problems by Linking Park + Jay-Z maybe 15 years ago. Similar happens now with this one.
This group seems to be a newer version of Zenbukiminoseida and KAQRIYOTERROR. There are a few other groups out there with a similar style but those two are probably my favorite.
Glad Hanabie is finally making the rounds on the youtubes.. a year or so ago they mostly went unnoticed even when I kept suggesting them on comments. *L.C.G* mostly hooked me in, then I got confused with the *Reiwa* MV I thought for sure the drummer started crossdressing(lol), didnt realize till Sweets that they changed the drummer so they are now technically an all girl band.
Sae is the drummer. She only joined the group in October 2020. She is in the MVs for Reiwa Matching Sedai and We love sweets. Before, they had a support drummer, and they had some difficulty in securing a drummer until then.
Woah LiSA and now Hanabie, you're on fire, buddy! That voice progressively changing by the end after that rap-metal section is just mesmerizing. To be honest this is the only original song of them I really liked from what I've heard, but one can see the potential and fresh ideas they put on the table. Also you need to check out their Ado song cover recently released, it's a sweet treat (and we love sweets over here). I can feel the same vibes from Band-Maid, Nemophila and Hanabie. It must be the passion they all ooze when playing. I think if they keep improving and keep their unique style they'll be well known in no time 🤘🕊️
Love this band... Yes, rap-py bits...featured in two other videos, LCG and Reiwa Matching Generation... what i particularly love is none of their songs sound the same, and yet contain all the same elements... I don't think its really hit them yet how popular they are going to be...;)
Great reaction! This is HARAJUKUCORE! Kawaii metal/metalcore/trap metal all mixed into one. I kinda like it tbh. It’s fresh and like you said, for a long servant of metal music, the genre is getting boring and I’m glad they’re adding some flavour and substance to the genre! Check out the rest of their album! More heavy songs in there! P.S. love the subtle Starlight background music. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
More a mix of Maximum the Hormone and Babymetal. Or something. Yes, they are a pretty new band, have around 5 clips out on youtube and an EP just coming out. One of the bands to watch, for sure.
Here is an older song with probably an amazing moment in it: th-cam.com/video/sIL-vgHNOu0/w-d-xo.html "Greyen" by the band MergingMoon. Anthony Bourdain did an interview back in the day.
Oh man, you are here for a treat. Like Nemophila, this band is gem coming through without asking any permission; very young members and so much potential and their first album it's pure fire! If you want to something more rock oriented with a little of punk infusion, try TRiDENT - Imagination (MV), another young band to keep falling into this Japanese music rabbit hole.
Big vibes of "Gekijou☆Metalicche" (former band of the blonde hair guitarist of Lovebites) in this song. you should check their song "Mirai hantai " in order to compare ;)
Yukina and Matsuri ( Guitar) is metal music fan, The bassist like J Pop music, their Drummer like KPop Music. So they combine all of their music reference. That is way you Will find brutal metal, J-Pop and K-Pop Rap in their music
*psst* do Reiwa Dating Apps Generation next *psst* In all seriousness though, this band kicks ass and they only have like 5 videos up to now and they're all sick, so you should absolutely check them all out dude.
This band are definitely one to watch, still small in terms of fan base atm but they're building momentum. The through-composition on this track is really well done, each individual riff is great and the transitions hit home hard. They know not to let it go too long as well as I find through-composition can easily be too much or become self-indulgent if it goes on for too long. They through-compose a couple of their shorter tracks and tend towards unusual song-structures, but normally have more identifiable chorus'/verse's. Any of the other few clips they've got up are also well worth checking out, I'd suggest maybe take a look at Reiwa Matching Sedia (translated by them as Reiwa Dating Apps Generation), you can find it here: th-cam.com/video/LOs_Th_qyIs/w-d-xo.html Or either of their other MV's are also fantastic and worth taking a look at as well. One is called LCG and the other Envy. I'd also suggest checking out their metal cover of Odo by Ado: th-cam.com/video/SPSpXzp3tfQ/w-d-xo.html
Bruh I lived in Japan for 4 years. Whatever is in the water bypassed the shit out of me 😡 love all these groups regardless of my salty lack of water-gained talent 😂
Yukina is a singer with many voices, both clean and screams. She was also the strawberry. So then she was rapping with herself. And she made all the kind of voices when going from a cute rap to a scream when she crushed the cake.
Since you now also like Hanabie, you might want to check out their friends, Fake Island (the music community in Japan is tight, everybody knows everybody pretty much). I like their song Fortune ( th-cam.com/video/4W7u-GOML0Y/w-d-xo.html ), though Connected ( th-cam.com/video/RkCPIFKtg4A/w-d-xo.html ) is also popular. They've played in Europe already, and hopefully will be back. The bassist is a great guy who I met at the guitar shop when I took my guitars in to have checked out, and he was the one working on them. Good people and great sound all round.
Same here. I really gave up with American music soooooo long ago and found love for Japanese and Korean music. I love mostly everything from pop to metal over there. Every time I find a new song from those 2 places, it's like I feel amazing and great while listening to it. I've lost that feeling with American music so many years ago. Korean and Japanese music artist talents is wayyyyyy beyond on what we have over here.
@@takecham5155 That's what I'm trying to say. But I think there's still some exemption though, I can't name a band but I know there's some good bands out there on Sokor.
Please check out this band MergingMoon and their song Greyen from 2013 it's almost similar to Hanabie but more brutal they were also featured on Anthony Bourdain's show parts unknown around 2013 also and they do a pretty mean cover of Britney Spears one more time you should check that out to
Checkout this other japanese metal instrumental band called Asterism you'll love them, checkout the songs (lives) of "Asterism - Disperse" or "Asterism - Museum Of Death"
I guess my other comment was deleted. I still stand by what I said. That girl from asterism is weird and makes me uncomfortable. She straddles the uncanny valley of being not quite human.
react to reiwa app generation by hanabie this song has heavy djent and you talk about the vocalist's rapping well this song is the right track for rapping
Beside you, i like watching some cameron cameson channel too... Both of you react in the technical stuffs something ordinary person didn't realize in the music & that makes us listener appreciate even more the tracks that we've listen to. Galneryus next, the forge of courage or nemophila raitei. Do check out maximum the hormone! Unleash the archers - tonite we ride is also good stuff!
Raitei was in this weeks poll, Galnerys and Mazimum the hormone were on the poll for next week, but these didnt win this time. Maybe in the next polls then 👍
If ctrl-F doesn't lie, you have so far avoided Doll$boxx and Unlucky Morpheus, two more bands that should not miss in your Japanese collection: Unlucky Morpheus: th-cam.com/video/V8i_QhOgsKw/w-d-xo.html Doll$boxx: th-cam.com/video/mu2z4Uf9Tgc/w-d-xo.html
They're the girly, cute and crazy heirs to Maximum the Hormone. I like them ...Japan is the land of the rising riff.
For me I get more of a babymetal becomes kawaii metalcore vibe.
I wouldn't say they are crazy out there with Tempo and style changes like MTH
"I don't feel like I've ever heard this"
What I really love about these bands, these girls and Band Maid especially is that it is very familiar and feels like stuff you've heard and loved in the past but at the same time it sounds totally new and fresh with elements you've never heard before. It's just amazing.
That attribute you just described is one I also say about AC/DC. So, yeah, high praise.
This song reminds me partly to 99 Problems by Linking Park + Jay-Z.
Let's face it, a huge wave of great rock music is coming from Japan. They are now 60´s Britain. Everything interestingly creative in music lives there now.
"I wanna start the song again, but I don't wanna put you guys through that..."
Me: it makes no difference when I listen to this song at least three times a day as it is.
Only 3 times?
Yep, Tousou and Be The Gal also take up time. Then there’s the multiple songs of Lovebites I listen to on a daily basis.
6:20 you're the first out of like 10 videos I've seen mention her little cough, I've waited so long for that
Yeey finally !!
it took you soo long to listen to this !! lol
these girls are so incredible....
I've been waiting for this one!
This is my third time watching this reaction. And why not? :)
So glad this one came up! It's the definitive song of literally EVERYTHING going on musically in Japan right now in 3 minutes. It's just brilliant stuff.
Hey don't worry, playing a 2 minute song more than once is totally fine, I also watched your reaction twice in a row.
Yup… I’m on my 3rd time watching this.

They're apparently a very young band. The guitarist had a video just a little while ago about unboxing her first amp head.
Hanabie Ado cover song, just released, its very interesting to watch, listening to it is even better!!
They are Even now female college students. They formed a band with club activities of high school students.
They won second place in a band contest exclusively for high school students.

I like HANABIE.

This reminds me of the '80s when Japan made better economy cars than the U.S. did. Only this time it's rock and metal.

Every time I find a new song from those 2 places, it's like I feel amazing and great while listening to it. I've lost that feeling with American music so many years ago. Korean and Japanese music artist talents is wayyyyyy beyond on what we have over here.
We're the same but my focus is on J-Rock🤘🎌

I can't find anything other than factory-produced music from South Korea, and it doesn't touch my heart either.
@@takecham5155 That's what I'm trying to say. But I think there's still some exemption though, I can't name a band but I know there's some good bands out there on Sokor.
You feel it like i did, dude!
I recommend Hanabie - Invisible Wall
New Hanabie song called Neet Game just dropped today. Here's the music video link: th-cam.com/video/PLfZ54FUG5w/w-d-xo.html
The lead vocal was too good
Idk but I think Hanabie just unlocked new genre: Kawaiicore.
@@muttenmagroo that's kinda rude lol, why? Because she is good at guitar?
@@jonasw3945 no. She's awesome at guitar, but cringey like Elon Musk. She's most likely an aspy.
@@muttenmagroo lol how ? She is awesome, being awesome is the opposite of being cringe
react to sokoninaru incredible japan band
Sokoninaru was in his rock poll for next week, but I dont think it won this time. Maybe in the next polls it will 👍
Also Tricot - Inai 🤘
react to reiwa app generation by hanabie this song has heavy djent and you talk about the vocalist's rapping well this song is the right track for rapping
For more Hanabie i suggest LCG
Beside you, i like watching some cameron cameson channel too... Both of you react in the technical stuffs something ordinary person didn't realize in the music & that makes us listener appreciate even more the tracks that we've listen to. Galneryus next, the forge of courage or nemophila raitei. Do check out maximum the hormone! Unleash the archers - tonite we ride is also good stuff!
Raitei was in this weeks poll, Galnerys and Mazimum the hormone were on the poll for next week, but these didnt win this time. Maybe in the next polls then 👍
Dont you mean Chase Carneson? And I would love to see Galneryus as well.
@@cepho8349 Galneryus is again in this weeks poll, but seems that its not winning this time either 🙄
@@cepho8349 yes you're right, got the spelling wrong, my bad. Tq for correcting it 👍🏻
You gotta check out Crystal Lake
If ctrl-F doesn't lie, you have so far avoided Doll$boxx and Unlucky Morpheus, two more bands that should not miss in your Japanese collection:
Unlucky Morpheus: th-cam.com/video/V8i_QhOgsKw/w-d-xo.html
Doll$boxx: th-cam.com/video/mu2z4Uf9Tgc/w-d-xo.html
Both have been in his poll, but lost to LiSA and One ok rock this time. Maybe some another poll then 👍👍 Thanks for the link!
