    The key to making the playoffs for Buffalo is having a healthy team. With Quinn, Skinner, Thompson and Samuelsson all missing time with injuries, the team couldn't get into a groove. Ruff is exactly the right coach to get the best out of the roster, and he'll make it known very quickly that if they don't give their best, they'll be sitting on the bench, if not up in the Press Box!

    Just subscribed congrats on 5K and thank you for your support of the ailing Buffalo Sabres. I also feel this is our year and was walking around my hometown my Sabres hoodie earlier. We have added great players and Beck Malenstyn needs to be given a mention too. He's going to blossom in Buffalo and showed signs of real promise with Hershey/Caps. McLeod is a huge missing piece and condolences to you for how it must be to be an Oilers fan now. Buffalo had the worst Stanley Cup final in history in 99- we know the feeling bro.

    Sabres fan here. Nice Assessment of the team! I like that you emphasize how skilled this team is, which gets overshadowed by the playoff drought. I’m cautiously optimistic about this season. I think that Ruff might be the coach the players need to become more disciplined, and I really like the bottom 6 now. The thing that worries me the most is that the Atlantic Division is so stacked. I can genuinely see this team somehow missing the playoffs with like 93 points, but hey who knows for sure!
    What I will say is that this team is miles better than when Adams took over in 2020. Dead last in the league to wildcard contention is quite the turnaround.

    The problem is who do they pass? In order for them to get to the playoffs they probably need to get a top 4 spot In the Atlantic.
    That means passing one of Toronto, Tampa, Boston or Florida and good luck with that.
    While I do think Tampa is in the early stages of decline, that's still going to take 3 more years, maybe longer depending on how Moser Geekie develop.
    Even IF the Atlantic took both wildcard spots, Ottawa is more likely than Buffalo, Ottawa actually added quality pieces in Ullmark and Perron.
    To me Buffalo is AT MINIMUM 3 years away from being a playoff team.

      @@chrisg459 in terms of this season, the answer would be Tampa when looking at their roster overall.
      I truly believe that 5 of the 8 playoff spots will be claimed by teams in the Atlantic Division. That’s where a team like Buffalo comes into the mix and claims one of those 5 spots (more so a WC spot specifically)
      While Ottawa did add Ullmark, I’m not so sure that if it would make a significant difference enough to hop over Buffalo for that spot.

    Kevin Adyms is horrible. He literally handed the Edmonton Oilers the Stanley cup for the 2024 2025 season mark my words.

    What fans? That team survives because of people from Ontario going to games...put a team in Hamilton and another East or West of Toronto (yes both) and if there's enough fans in buffalo let them cross the border for games like Canadians do...I love Buffalo but like they aren't a real hockey town and a cross border team won't ever win, just move them so they can sell out every game...btw ottawa...also not a hockey town so not a Canada/America thing.

      You don’t know anything about Buffalo at all. When the team is competitive, they pack the building in a heartbeat and the market is always top 5 in the TV Ratings when it comes to Stanley Cup Playoffs.

    • @AmarRajasansi
      @AmarRajasansi 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ABobeck94 That's my point, Buffalo ranks 28th out of 32 teams for attendance. Everybody pretty much sells out when their team is competitive. Hockey towns sell out when their team isn't. So Buffalo, like Pittsburgh is not a hockey town, attendance would be even worse if they weren't on the Ontario border.

    • @ABobeck94
      @ABobeck94 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@AmarRajasansi Lord I need to know in your mind what cities are considered to be a “Hockey Town” because adding Pittsburgh to this mix is ridiculous.

    • @AmarRajasansi

      @@ABobeck94From what said it's pretty clear , hockey towns have attendance throughout ups and downs in performance. Pittsburgh I mention because despite being arguably the luckiest fan base of the last 35 years they don't show up when the team is weak. Buffalo is similar except unlucky in terms of talent and cups. Hockey towns where I feel the fans still attend when the team is bad would be cities like Boston, Philadelphia, Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton...etc

    • @ABobeck94
      @ABobeck94 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@AmarRajasansi “Buffalo is similar except unlucky in terms of talent and cups.” The Cup is one thing, but talent? Perrault, Robert, Martin, Hasek, LaFontaine, Mogilny, Hawerchuk, Andreychuk, Miller. It’s clearly obvious that you’re new to the game of hockey because your lack of knowledge shows it.
      About the attendance, would you go through the pain and suffering Sabres fans have endured for 13 years? This is the same city that has a NFL team that once had a 17 year playoff drought.
