10:19 The comment about Mewtwo just really bums me out. Randomizers are supposed to be about pushing the limits of what's possible and doing the best you can with what you've got, but it irks me every time that people say powerful or good pokemon are "boring". Sometimes you get something really good, sometimes you have to make do, it's the possibility that should make this interesting, not the struggle.
17:45 well, im sure you already knew, since youre the speedrunner, that you can approach the farfetchd from the bottom, then continue up and then approach it again from its right. It will go left and then you follow it down where you came from. As opposed to walking all the way arounf the right side of yhe forest ☝🏻🤓
Chris idk if you read these but I'm curious why you didn't immediately teach m2 surf on picking it up, to help with pp management, x2 coverage, etc. Obviously not flame, my pb in this category is like 4 hours, just trying to learn
@@ChadKrause-qu5qv he lost at least two or three turns to it before he switched, which i think is worth it by a few seconds? maybe less so with instant text
He tries to keep menuing to a minimum by teaching HMs and TMs at the same time as using a repel or fly or an escape rope, etc. He also was planning on catching the Sudowoodo or something on cycling road, whichever way the unwall was, before doing Azalea or Whitney, until he ran into Anthony, so he probably wasn't planning on teaching it in the first place. All of that on top of juggling one or more conversations in the stream, it's likely he just forgot.
Dunno how long ago this was or if you've already done the colosseum run you discussed, but just in case, I'd say lowering the catch rate ruins the difficulty of the run. Imagine the final boss had a shadow Mewtwo as his final mon and instead of having to overcome it, you just throw an ultra ball at full health and guarantee a win. In main series pokemon games, catching isn't part of the difficulty, but a side task, but in colosseum it is integral to the difficulty of battles.

The Mewtwo didnt need it plus he wasnt keeping it long term
Also it had good enough moves for a while so he didn't really need to do it

The 1 speed typhloshion is so that when you go coop you have a 30 speed mon
I wonder if the randomiser will make it vanilla one day,
There is a small chance of it happening
Not a main channel video? I thought it was pretty good, but then again I think that with most content
