I’ve been a Liverpool fan for years and after seeing how well Sheffield were doing after promotion I couldn’t help but secretly hope they keep up their form and finish well. Now after this interview from Wilder it really confirms my support for Sheffield. Hardworking and all around class organization.

Wilder can praise us as much as he wants but what he’s doing at Sheffield United, on a shoestring budget, is phenomenal. The desire him and his players have shown to improve and be more than competitive, in a league of super wealthy clubs, is superb.
What a legend, proper interview from a proper old school manager. Gotta respect that.

This guy is a proper manager, yes we all realised how good of a job he has done but this interview and the way he has conducted himself is a credit to his team. This is the guy that criticised his goalkeeper Henderson for the mistake he made against Liverpool at bramall lane and he was criticised for being so harsh.... but he knew what he was doing and today gave his keeper all the praise in the world. I like what his doing I like the style of play but unfortunately his team come up against an unstoppable force. Good luck Sheffield United and cmon the mighty reds

Great to see a manager appreciate another teams coaching and tactics to a game.
Need more men like this in the game. Real managers, not coaches who have a bloody theory of everything about football. The game is a competitive sport, and while games are decided by technical quality and talent, it's the mentality and heart that brings that to the fore. The best 'coaches' are the ones who know their weapons (the players) and instill that belief and mental resilience in them so they can do their job well, and do it when it matters... when other players and their talents are being drowned by mental weakness.
