Been a Liverpool fan since 1981. Managers have come and go. Sometimes I'm sad it didnt work out, sometimes I felt there was no choice. I've never been terrified of the prospect of a manager leaving until now. The most important transfer in the past 40 years.

The best signing we have made in the last 20 years. He changed our fortunes, he took an average liverpool side and made them what they are today. Genius
What makes Jurgen special is he comes across as ordinary. He isn't self deprecating, he isn't big headed, he is honest, modest, extremely polite, and very obviously much more capable than many of his peers.
it is very nice to see, that he worked in the environment which they given him time and patient to achieve the result. Not just instant result like most clubs do nowadays. Good Job Mr. Klopp
As a Borussia Dortmund supporter I must admit that I feel a bit envy when I see this. I love Jürgen like he was my coach and I get goosebumps when I see his statements from the past and how fudging unbelievable hard he deliverd. @Tim Loves Bacon The fact that they only need one more to have the joint most titles again, even after not winning in 30 years shows that it certainly doesn't belong anywhere else, that's for damn sure. To say Jurgen Klopp is a great manager is an understatment. He is a walking example of what every decent human being should aspire to be. Honest, humble, optimistic, realistic, hard working and true to his word above all. If we had more Jurgens in the world, it would've been a far better place.

@@Huyle18 I thought before the Madrid final in 2018 that missing Coutinho might have handed Madrid the title. Retrospect may suggest the Salah injury and Karius mishaps were the difference, but Couts-Bobby-Mane-Salah were the best attacking unit in football that year. I think Coutinho was designed to hurt that Winger loaded Madrid team. He had the pressing and 50 yard balls to cause the damage. The 2018 Liverpool is actually the best attacking side I have ever seen at Anfield. We might have gotten more efficent in the following years, but Coutinho really made everything a great spectacle. Glad he got trophies elsewhere for his troubles.
I think as long as people don't start flaming him or making a hostile environment for him, he would stay a lot longer, he likes the guys, he likes the club and he is a challenge hunter, with City ever so rich and United growing again, he will always be challenged to win.
It's a great point to bring up. From the very start, I always believed that Jurgen was the kind of guy that would put so much into his work, that he would end up burning himself out. Hence how he required a sabbatical after his time at Dortmund. I honestly felt that Jurgen was looking tired in the run up to the season being interrupted. I'm now beginning to wonder if the 3 month break has helped him to recharge his batteries and keeps him with us for a longer time? But it's also right to enjoy the 'right here and now'. I'm old enough to remember the shock and horror when Bill Shankly retired. Little did we know that Bob Paisley would actually win more than Shanks. Perhaps Liverpool's next manager is already on Jurgen's staff?
I take it that I am not the only one who visits this interview once a month checks his stance at the time he came in yo liverpool. There are so many jewels that he dropped... writing their own history, doubters to believers, carrying the load of history, and mist important was the fact that it is not important what people say when you cone into a team but what is said about you when you leave...

Klopp strikes me as one of those guys that are really, REALLY hard to hate. Everything he says makes me smile. I remember at some point during their Champions League Campaign, they had injuries all over the place and on all of their most important players, and they were down on Aggregate to Barcelona. He said something along the lines of "Just try and win. If you win, awesome, but if you lose, lose in the most beautiful way possible." To his players. He's the exact opposite, he's always gone to struggling clubs. Mainz was on the verge of being relegated into the third tier when he took over and they win the remaining games and stayed up. With "title" he meant literally ANY achievement/trophy. So he already delivered his promise with the CL win in 2019.
Exactly. A lot of people don't realise "title" on the continent simply means trophy. It's why you hear Pep saying City won 3 "titles" last season.
And even if he meant a PL trophy he basically finished 2019 with 91 points, 1 point less than city and still with more points than any othet rteam than won the league. So he wasn't far enough.
@@Rabolisk i think it was 97points.

Not that I am proud about it, I'm just explaining the previous argument.. I'd rather have FSG inject money to get the best players to win than blame city for doing so.
In my opinion when he said 4 years, it can be interpreted as 4 seasons. His first season in Liverpool is not even his full season. In his 4th season, he already achieved ALL the achievements a football club ever dream of achieving.

our most unsung hero, one of the biggest gear in the Liverpool Machine. Without his part we dont get Allison and VVD maybe.

Is he gonna knock utd off the perch?

I agree with Pep but Mourinho has went to some struggling clubs, man utd was at their Worste since the prem started and Spurs were on the low when he took over. However, all three has shown they are World class coaches. Big respect to all of them
A man who totally embodies LIVERPOOL FC. The players love him, the fans adore him, the owners respect him, he has come good on his word. His won 4 trophies for our club. It’s now his club. His players his ideas his vision. I’m just sad that he’ll be gone in 4 years. I just hope he wins more , falls more in love with the club and decides to stay rather then returning to Germany.
2026! :) This year will be special after it he should leave but he wont.

"Sorry for my English."
Speaks fluent English. What a guy.
I am proud to be a liverpool fan from Indonesia since 2005 and see that the sponsors of "GARUDA INDONESIA" become a part of Liverpool's history introducing Liverpool's first coach four years ago and he is JURGEN KLOPP who is making dreams come true, now after four years #LFCchampions
