I was 9/10 years old back in 83' and I remember TV ads for home mortgages at only 16-18% interest. I also remember bank CD's that paid 11% interest. A few years ago, bank CD's paid 0.05% interest.
I was a 1 year old in 1983. The cars, music, films and electronics from the 80s are very beautiful to me. The Pontiac 2000 car shown in the commercial looks souch like the Inspector Gadget animated show car. I was a teenager in the late 90s but I feel proud of the fact that I lived during the 80s. Even if I was just a little boy.
I might of had it. I sold a lot of 24 V-Cord2 videotapes last week. I did not have a chance to digitize all of them. Getting a Sanyo VTC-8200 VCR working took a long time and patience.
Wow. That is a very specific commercial. I know how special television broadcasts can be when our family members are part of them. Unfortunately I no longer buy vintage videotapes and I am currently focused on uploading my personal recordings from the early 2000's period. I acquired this commercial thanks to an Arizona eBay seller who was selling a large lot of 30 1976 Sanyo V-Cord2 videotapes. They mostly contained movies already available on DVD, Blu-ray and paid streaming services. The Arizona area commercials and TV station promotions are definitely not available on streaming services. The 1976 Sanyo V-Cord2 format is quite rare, obscure and difficult to work with. The Beta and VHS formats were also used around this time so I would guess that the commercial you are searching for might be available on the Beta and VHS formats. The U-Matic and Quasar VX formats were also used at the time but it is also quite rare and obscure.
