Ahhh my beautiful city of Halifax, I havent been to downtown Halifax in ages as I live just outside of the city so I have yet to see all the beautiful changes to the waterfront yet, but this walk about was just wonderful and definitely need to make the time next summer to be like a tourist and head down and check it all out, it looks amazing what has been done!❤ I especially love how Argyle street is now a pedestrian street and no street traffic, lots of bars, pubs and outside patios, thats so great!❤ My advice though, I would have started at Citadel hill and made my way down to the waterfront, much easier than making your way up the whole way up hill. Thats one thing I don't miss is walking up the hill from the waterfront bars to the other bars on Argyle Street and Brunswick St 😂
I used to know everyone downtown decades ago. I felt like I owned the waterfront. lol Now when I watch these I don't recognize anyone. Like shop owners, employees, random people. Halifax is growing at an insane rate outpacing infrastructure. Rush hour traffic is a nightmare now.
If you are planning to visit Halifax or Nova Scotia, please do not. Because local government does not like tourism, they are not welcoming tourist. The local government make new law to prohibit resident to operate short term rental form their property from 2025. If you like to visit Halifax, be prepared to pay 200% cost per night for your stay in hotel instead of Airbnb or booking f try on 2025.
