CUSTOM Ordered MOUNTAIN HATCH for my F150 !
I finally got my Mountain Hatch tailgate panel! Since my trucks version isn’t normally carried in stock, I had to custom order one which took about 7 weeks to get……..so, I figured why not do a quick unboxing/install/review on it.

FINALLY! The Stratos Boat Tour
มุมมอง 2Kปีที่แล้ว
Here's the boat tour of my 1990 Stratos 266FS boat. I finally got around to show some of the work & modifications that have been completed since the first video that I ever uploaded on my channel. Many hours were spent getting the Stratos redone, including a few things not in the video at the time, like installing a jack plate and redoing the steps. It was a great boat, but I have since sold it...

PT:1 Northwoods Fishing In ULTRA Clear Water: CAUGHT In HAILSTORM w/Trolling Motor ISSUES!
มุมมอง 131ปีที่แล้ว
Part 1 of my annual fishing trip to the Wisconsin Northwoods where our trip starts off with us getting stuck on the water in a hailstorm. Day 2 was a complete 180 with beautiful weather and fish on beds. Trolling motor issues quickly popped up but we didn't let that stop us. ADAPT and OVERCOME was the motto for this trip! Here is the first half of our trip.....I hope you enjoy! Leave a comment,...

Picking up a TRUCK RACK from MAV !
มุมมอง 2814 ปีที่แล้ว
I took a road trip recently to pick up a roof rack. Not only was it something on my build list, but it came from the actual truck that inspired me to start building my own truck camping rig. This is that roadtrip......hope you enjoy! Edit: I apologize for the audio sync issues, I’m still figuring this editing out. If you enjoyed the video, please leave a comment below and subscribe. New boat project.....say goodbye to shore fishing!
มุมมอง 2057 ปีที่แล้ว
Intro to my new boat restoration project . FT Stratos 266 FS
Unfortunately this is what happens when you don’t read the owners manual before diving in the deep end. You are NOT the first TH-camr I’ve watched break the lid lock and not be able to insert the tabs on the cooking surface.
The lid lock wasn’t broken, it just wasn’t tightened down which was the issue. Since I tightened up the nut it has worked great. Now that I’ve used it quite a bit, the tabs aren’t too bad once you get used to them. The griddle lock though is still a bit awkward to use.
I just got one. Made two meals. Easy clean up. Space saver in rv. It weighs a lot less, too.
I have one and love it. Works no problems
It’s the weak ass hinge it has my hinge broke after I opened it one time but it does close better now I’m trying to see if I can find a video on how to replace that hinge can anyone help?
The hinge seems to be a common complaint.
I just got my 22" Adventure Ready w/ folding stand from Walmart for $145 out the door, the trick is to ask the employee who actually works in the garden dept. if he has any "scratch and dent" or floor models, mine was a future floor model that was left outside in the box during our last storm.
That’s awesome! I’ll have to check for any scratch and dent deals the next time I’m there.
Try reading the instruction manual.
While I didn’t read it word for word, I did flip through it. Was there something I missed?
I live in the Myrtle Beach, SC area and all the Walmarts here had empty spaces. After about a month of looking every other day, I decided to expand my search and Charleston, SC Walmarts indicated in stock. 2.5 hour drive and the first Walmart I stopped at did not have them, even in the back. Hit paydirt at the second Walmart. Walmarts here in the Myrtle Beach, Conway area still don't have them. Love mine.
I’m glad you were able to track one down. Enjoy!
Great job on reviewing it but it's made more cheaper than the originals they should sell it for 59.95
I agree the price could definitely be lower.
Love the concept, question the execution and cost. I can wait for a Black Friday sale. Thanks for the review.
You’re welcome. I’m glad the review was helpful.
I like that blackstone keeps coming out with new products but lately a lot of them seem rushed to production. There’s no reason the handle and latches couldn’t be beefed up.
I agree. Hopefully they’ll listen to feedback and make changes on their next gen version.
I agree with your complaints, however I felt the quality was WAY better than I expected when unboxing mine. 🤷🏼♂️
Hopefully it will hold up over time. I’ve had time to use it and aside from a couple other initial issues, it seems pretty robust.
There are NO CAST IRON BlackStone griddles!!!!!!!!! They are mild steel formed metal!!!!!!!! There Will NEVER be a CAST IRON cooking surface!!!!! THIS☝️ is a CAST ALUMINUM “COATED” cooking surface!!!!! This is as CLOSE to a cast cooking surface you’ll EVER see on ANY griddle!!!! Period!!!!
Thank you for sharing that info.
Why are you yelling? You maybe 100% right but I shut down because of all the yelling . Try reposting in your quiet voice. Thanks.
I agree, so many people say "cast iron"; it drives be crazy. I do wish the camping unit had the steel plate though.
@@patrickcobb4483 My bad, I’ll refer to it correctly in the future.
I believe that notch on the side is just to make it easier to access the leveling foot so you don't have to lift the griddle after you have started to cook (since that will be when you will notice the unevenness the most).
That is definitely a possibility.
The build quality does not surprise me, it is in line with most other camping grills on the market. for the reduced weight and size some compromises are made. It's purpose built for camping/portability, weather or not it's worth it is hard to say since it just came out. Might need to wait to see how it holds up long term
After a few months of use I’ll have to do an update, but I have high hopes for it!
Nice Bro! Nice u went with the 22, Some people also having trouble with the pilot.
Thanks. Hopefully the pilot doesn’t give me any issues. I wonder if modifying it to an electric start might be possible?
Been looking everyday since Todd Toven's intro video, finally "found " some in stock about 50 miles from me last night. Road Trip today. I've had a 22" for years and love it. I wanted this one for same reasons you mentioned including weight reduction in the RV. I'll compromise for the aluminum for the reduced weight.
Road trips to acquire new gear are fun!
I'll stick with my single burner coleman and single burner size lodge reversible for the price/quality comparison. But im just a batchelor, so its plenty for me. Awesome of you to put this review out for us to compare our options before we comit to a 140/150 price tag experiment. I really do appreciate it.
Thanks! I’m glad that it was helpful. I know I always like to check out review videos myself before buying things.
It's 26 pounds and $150. Not a $600 griddle. I have one, and it works great. Its purpose built, and it serves its purpose.
True, but there’s always room for some constructive criticism, especially on a products first iteration.
Ya lost me at ALUMINUM and COATING... stupid. I use a griddle and cast iron so I don't poison my family and friends.
They do have 17” or 22” cast iron models if that’s what you prefer. Not quite as portable but resolves that issue.
It's not your daddy's nonstick. This isn't Teflon, it's a modern coating. Ceramic titanium, totally safe under normal cooking conditions. Treating them as they're meant to be treated, ie, not cooking under super hot conditions, is what the purpose is. Add to that the questionable durability of the actual coating and how it is applied on these (my first had some spots with uneven coating) comes into question. For eggs, bacon, melting cheese and pancakes, no issue. But I wouldn't try searing a steak or anything on it. Again, purpose built with a purpose. If that's not your purpose, one of the more robust surfaces would serve better.
I have had my order canceled 3 times so far even though they were “instock” at my local store.
Even though the website shows it’s in stock, it may be that it wasn’t out on shelves yet like my local store. It’s possible that the employee didn’t know how to check inventory or just didn’t want to search for it in the back.
Just got back from returning the one I found. Felt like it was made very cheap. Top cover sheet metal looks like it would rip away from the one hinge. Will keep carrying my 17in even though I don't care for the weight
I agree there’s definitely room to improve on a few things.
Guess they aren’t in my area yet….. plus I can’t even find them on the Walmart website……..🤷♂️
Try searching for “Blackstone Adventure Ready” on the Walmart website. Hopefully that will help you find them so you can see if they are in stock at your local store.
@@dirtyoutdoorsman …. Tried that…. The only thing that comes up is the 22” one with and without the stand. Ironically, the new 5piece accessory tool kit that was released with the camp griddles comes up as well as was in the stores I visited in abundance lol…. Go figure….
Try blackstone 2250 griddle and scroll down its hidden
@@JackDaniels-ki7tt that worked…. Thanks! But it’s out of stock online and not available at any store within 25 miles of me! 😂😂😂 I can’t win!!!
@@mikegonsalves3450 yeah mine says the same thing lol I guess I'm just gonna have to wait
How much they going for?
The 14” griddle/burner combo is $140. The 20” griddle is $150 and they are sold exclusively at Walmart.
Great review, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
That notch could be for the stand you can get for this one.
I thought about that, but after looking through the pictures of the stand on Walmarts website, it doesn’t look like it’s used for the stand.
Picked one up today at my local wal mart..they had 4 of each and i went with this one.. hopefully I’ll get to break it in Thursday
Nice, hope you enjoy it!
Where is part 22? These are solid and well worth the money, good video cheers!
You can see it around the 1:13 mark, inside the receptacle. The o-ring is a reddish/orange color.
wow i’m intrigued
I'm doing the same thing to mine right now I'm got a 1990 275 pro . I started out with. 600, 800, 1,000 2,000 3000 and buffed it. Mine looks like I either went too far or not enough. I wish there was a way I could send you pictures and show you what I'm talking about I just want to know if I should go any further wet sanding or not. Nice boat! Good job!
What kind of polishing products have you tried? I used a few different ones after I was done with the wet sanding. If I recall, I used a rubbing compound, then a polishing compound followed by some glaze and then some wax to seal it. It’s a lot of steps but it was worth it.
Awesome!!👊🔥
Thanks!
Do you have a video showing it installed?
I’ll probably make a follow up video sometime in the near future.
No o-ring
@@RKkayak45 Are you saying there isn’t an O-ring? 1:38
To think...you used to be a bad ass rock star! Now your an outdoorsman! Looks like you have some great adventures!
How does your boat run? I just bought a 1990 stratos 266fs and I replaced all of the carpet and seats I now have to put a lot of work into the engine and I want to get all of the electronics working again wondering if you have any tips or any info trying to get it up before summers over
I recently sold it, but it ran awesome. Tips? Research and read/watch as much as you can. I’ve learned so much along the way just by spending lots of time searching the web and watching videos on TH-cam. As far as your engine, I’d start by checking compression and go from there.
@@dirtyoutdoorsman when I bought it I checked the compression and cylinders with a camera and it turns over I just need a lot of fuel lines and probably clean the carburetor this boat has been sitting for years
Sounds like you have a good handle on everything. Hopefully you can get it out on the water soon, good luck!
Thanks for the video! I also was looking for an overview. i'm ordering one for the same Terrova.
No problem! I’m sure you’ll love it!
Nice meeting you! thanks for the drive out, and good job editing! keep it up.
Awesome!!!
Man I need to remember to turn my phone sideways when I record. Lol
