A smooth back but with a more aggressive front, well proportioned and the black leather seats looked sort of "expensive". I have an idea for Carbuyer: what if, at the end of every review, the reviewer rates the car from 0-10? I think that would be an interesting way of measuring and also a bit competitive among the cars.
This car is fabulous, I don't want a boring passat with a slighter bigger boot, this ford has the ability to waft along like a bentley, and loads of toys, and for the money, nothing touches it.
To know who is reviewing the car you just have to look at the dislikes. I don't understand the hate for James. I Think he's decent even though Matt is a bit better. If James was the standard Reviewer and one day Matt came along everybody would probably hate on Matt.

+wo0feR It's more like 8-10l/100km outside the city (8l on secondary roads, 10l on the highway) and around 12-13l in the city. On average it's more like 10-11l than 8-10l. Still not very bad but nothing fancy

In a citroen c5 exclusive you get the best seats in my opinion just because you can adjust even the higher half of a backrest. Seen this comfort seats only in bmws 5 and more series (wich are even better) or very rare audis a6 and rare lexuses, some range rovers also. And a renault velsatis has it. Anyway, I really like this feature!! All car makers should have this as option in bigger their bigger models.

This estate is very practical and wouldn’t ever pick a Passat over it at all. Had trouble free pleasurable refined motoring for last 4.5 years with Titanium X estate 180bhp 2 litre diesel with road tax at £30 year as so clean 👍 - unlike the mass fitted cheat devices across Vw Audi range that are up to 400% above legal max emissions! 👎
No, Matt, you are wrong! It wasn't the BMW who answered the question. It was the german support who had a little bit of an indian accent ... I guess that's just one of the world's wonders.
The mondeo is most comfortable car i have driven in this segment. I have a superb which is a very good car but no where near as comfortable as the mondeo.
Before I RETIRED I drove all new skoda's and yes and maney other new cars. But thay are etoreuse for engine management lights come on and engines going in to limp mode.especaly the 2 litre diesels . And I'm only taking about 2017/2020 models.
When u buy a car u definitely also go for the look and style! VW, Opel, Mazda etc they are not even close to the stylish look of this Mondeo! Just look at the front side of this car!i bought this car and every time I step out the car and go away then I have to turnaround to check the stylish look of the car! And the downsides what u are talking abt are for 90% of ppl not relevant!
Imho Mondeo is good for family trips in Europe. If you travel kind of US way (loooong daily trips 800-1200 km) Passat will not be any better. Only VW Multivan.
Did you ever asked yourselves where does the rear knee room comes from in Superb? Sit in the front passenger seat and try to comfortably stretch your right leg. You'll find there's no room for leg! You have to keep it to the right in unnatural position. In a car of that size... Just poor...and NO REVIEWER ever foud that as a letdown. Strange.
Try towing a caravan or a small horse box with a skoda whitch iv have then say it's a no brainer.The skoda better. Even thought the skoda is a nice car.
Why do you always take a 2.0 liter diesel engines for your test? Don't you, know English people, that petrol engines also exist? Mondeo has 2 of them: 1.5l 150 hp and 2.0l 240 hp, both turbo.

Hired one (hatchback) for 3 weeks on a recent trip to Britain. 65% highway, 35% urban produced 51 mpg. Ordinary car but good economy.

Totaly it's the driver that REDUCES THE FUEL CONSUMPTION NOT THE CAR.

That interior is such a let down and quite a bit behind almost all competitors. Major mistake they didn't refresh it with the facelift.
