I'm trying to partition my HDD into more drives using the built-in tool Disk management,
but after I select C: drive and apply shrink volume, the size of available shrink is only in a few MBs,
It says
Total size before shrink : 935707
Size of available shrink space in MB : 567
Enter the amount of space to shrink in MB : *have to choose from 1-567*
Total size after shrink in MB : 935140
So, there is no use for me for shrink volume at all because it would leave me a few MBs to make a new drive
or it will shrink the C: to this much size I'm not sure of it....still there's a problem that I need to get a total of 713GB
of unallocated space so that I can create make partitions and create few drives.
I've also tried the cmd prompt DISKPART method but it doesn't help either.
Please help!!

You cannot shrink a volume beyond the point where any ere any unmovable files are located.
See the "defrag" event in the Application log for detailed information about the operation when it has completed. HOW CAN I SOLVE THIS PROBLEM ?
