It is always a joy to Jeff dance on the drums. He is like someone skating on ice. Beautiful music! How could someone give this a thumbs down? Jealous amatures I suppose. You can only grow if you are you are still on the vine. This cat is still expanding and creating.
To hear I meant to say.
Such a beautiful sound, amazing flow and deep ideas! Thanks for sharing!!
What a great player! So musical, tasteful and keeps your interest every second.
smooth like butter, and so clean
A result of a lifetime of hard work.
Incredible playing and musicality, a joy to listen to.
old school
Among the listed the fact, also, that he worked in the Count Basie Orchestra, where the need to play very dancing was dictated their style and music and big legacy all drummers that played with them before
Thank you for this clip Memphis Drum Shop! Such a beautiful solo. Love me some Jeff Hamilton.
I love this gentleman!
Yes And More Yes just Simply wow 👏💎👏🥁🔥🥁🔥🥁👏💎👏
Groovy, smooth and silky!
Fabulous player.
Thanks for the video
Perfectly tuned drums.
Very natural, rich and full sound - just like it should be!
CLASS ACT. What a great musician! Find videos where he also plays with his hands.
World class act. Hands down.
The master at work.
The first vinyl jazz album I bought was Monty Alexander trio live in Montreux with Jeff Hamilton a d John Clayton
Thank you MDS.
Giant brush work. Giant.
Super! TOP TOP drumming! So musical!
Very nice. Inspirational.
This is why I get out of bed in the morning.
He makes those drums sing
Some drummers use a massive amount of drums and cymbals....and some don’t....
They just rely on sheer ability.
Mapex drums have the most beautiful sound. Especially when played by a genius like J. Hamilton. So pleasent to listen to.
"Things Ain't What They Used to Be" on brushes! Heard the melody clearly!
Iv'e been playing traditional grip over 50 years. This is why. It just works. Just ask Jeff.
Master
Ive never seen Jeff without a jacket
Elegante
This has nothing to do with drums but Mr. Hamilton wears a mean sports coat!
Yes he does - and wears it well!
I'm figuring the sports coat is the secret. I'm going out to buy a tux!
Looks like he's going back to the Hamilton (no relation) Cymbal Stands that he used to use. He developed a "signature" flat based cymbal stand with Canopus in early 2018 and it's still listed on the Canopus website. Strange.
I think his old Remo kits sounded better. That Mapex tom holder is ridiculous!
Still, love everything Jeff plays on the drums and always have!
Which Mapex ?
Dang!
Это музыка!
He can't get the Remo Drums no more ? he should be playing Gretch's with 'Vintage' Hardware !
what kit is that you normally play remo crown
Jeff became a Mapex artist recently.
The opposite to TERRY BOZZIO…
I love Jeff but his Remo kit was sooooooooo much better than this . His cymbals incredible here
