- It's day one at the 2023 Ifmar 1/10 Electric offroad worlds at Hobby Action in Chandler, Arizona.
We made it. Day one consists of pit setup, buying and building tires and a little bit of car setup.
We get a good look at the track and positive vibes from the pits!

Nebraska in the house! Welcome to the heat. Gotta say I'm very impressed with the HobbyPlex in Omaha. Never seen it in person but have seen video when Josh @ Harley Designs did a walk through several years ago. I got started in RC racing back in 1986. I raced with Merl and Thom just when they were getting Hobby Town started. I lived in Fremont and would travel to Lincoln and Omaha. Back then it was carpet racing in church fellowship halls and meeting places around both cities. Good times. The first indoor dirt track was Ground Zero Raceway in Bellevue if memory serves me right. Always great competition. Can't remember the names but the two brothers from Lincoln were really tough to beat. Well that's my story. Good luck in the races!
Might have been Gooch and Randy Ryder from Lincoln. I raced at Ground Zero once when I was a kid. That's awesome. Thanks!

I'm a wvu fan, so we're in the same boat...
The United States is like 50 different countries... So unique and strange from one to another. And the american accents of english, I can not understand the southern accent or "slang." Best luck in your races.

Do you get to keep your tires once the race meet is over?
Yep. I'm sponsored by Jconcepts, so I'm going to have a lot of tires I can't use when it's over. Lol.

The control tires for this race are AKA brand and they must be purchased new at the track.
I'm sure the top pros have theirs covered, but for mid level drivers like myself, it's all out of pocket.
