Yes! I am a millennial (born in 92) and my mom got me the PRETTIEST gold poncho for Christmas when I was 12 and as soon as I hit 8th grade, I started my emo phase and stopped wearing it. Shout out to my mom for putting up with my crap.

That video of the magnapinna squid is honestly such a good jumpscare from a horror film perspective? Reminds me of the one from It Follows where the tall guy comes through the door and there's no loud noise or sudden movement but it's so unexpected and horrifying that it's a jumpscare. Like at first when the camera is focusing on the squid you get this feeling like "oh shit this is gonna be sick and awesome and something i've never seen before" and then it pans down and suddenly you're like "holy fuck this is super cool but also i'm gonna shit my pants"
that is such a good way to describe it omfg it’s totally a jump scare. like it goes from video-of-a-big-squid-chilling to suddenly panning down really fast and it doesn’t stop when it feels like it should it just keeps going the squid just keeps going and it all feels so off if you didn’t know a squid could be that long
so glad that you survived a harrowing encounter with sherb and that you and pom pom are friends again! i love mothman but the molokai drama just hits different
