Hope you don’t mind my info dump but I love Japanese yokai and you are right! Kappas are very dangerous and scary. They drag people to the water and eat them. They’ll do worse things to women. Some areas of Japan still have signs by the rivers But they can be defeated! Kappas have a bowl on their head with water that keeps them alive. If you bow respectfully (while on land) they will bow back and the bowl will empty, and they will shrivel and die. If you refill the bowl the kappa will be indebted to you. Plus kappas favorite food is cucumbers which is why Kapp’n sings about them sometimes and they like to sumo wrestle

I had a spiritual experience with a Luna moth, I go on the same route every time I go for walks and I walk past this giant tree and I saw it from the corner of my eye. I literally almost started crying. I took the most amazing picture of it and I still always go back to that tree in hopes that another will be there. 💓 one day I want that exact Luna moth tattooed on my body.
