    Tea freaks like myself can never get this kind of insight and behind the scenes content...or at least its very seldom. Thanks for sharing! Hope to see more! Very cool.

    Thank you for sharing your adventures!
    I am extremely new to the proper tea experience,I literally just seasoned my tiny Yixing pot for Oolong,and it was delicious.
    Soon to season another for yellow,so exited for that!

    Now I want a proper Jianshui pot-I love the texture of the mini pot on the necklace I had purchased from you.
    How many teapots would typically be fired at once in that small kiln?

    • @CrimsonLotusTea
      @CrimsonLotusTea  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We have quite a few nice teapots at Phoenix Tea. In a kiln this size probably only a couple hundred.

    I never thought about how expensive to fire all the clay. I hope they have a lot to fire at one time.

    Just wanted to ask where I can find a good quality double walled teapot like you showed in the video? Online store or perhaps I'd actually have to go there maybe? Any help is greatly appreciated.

      They're hard to find. It's hard to make them well. Follow us on Instagram and when we're in Jianshui next PM us and I can find one for you. Or you can email me now and I can message some potters and see what they have. crimsonlotustea@gmail.com

    Great video....very cool. Thank-you. Wondering about how the tea pots are made....are they mostly made using a plaster mold with slip?

    • @CrimsonLotusTea
      @CrimsonLotusTea  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      All the teapots are made by throwing the clay on a wheel. They don't use molds or slip.

      She was quite fussy that day. She's been having a rough go of it this trip. She's been doing better since then though.

    they called those little trucks one eyed buffalos when I was in Bosnia years ago. not sure where the name comes from though.

      Weird. Some here have just one headlight. Maybe that's why.
