Note that this read only trick does not work. Only works if the stick is used on one computer only :-( You take the USB drive to a different computer and it is no longer read only. So this works on the same computer only. I'm still looking for a solution that works such that the USB stick remains read only, even if you move it to a different computer.

The G drive always is set to Online at the Disk management tool, the changes applied by the Diskpart will work fine. if the G drive status is (Read only state), diskpart, through windows registry change and Chkdsk doesn´t work, i´m still looking how to fix a HP 32Gb Flash Drive. many thanks for the tutorial that help so many people.

so I bought this 512gb micro sd card SanDisk shipped and sold by amazon, the packaging seems authentic and my computer wont display it under my computer nor with disk management my nintendo switch does display it with 400gb + in storage, I downloaded a third party tool called MiniTool Partition wizard which recognizes the card but as a read only with 88.8gb and no letter assigned therefore cmd does not find it when list disk command is used. My first thought is go to be fake, or faulty?
