i too am a slow reader and also at uni, i read 24 books and am super proud of it, so 30 is brilliant!! 💌 i really want to read eleanor oliphant is completely fine this year as i have heard amazing things about it and i want to expand out of the fantasy genre!
@@victoriaareads 24 is great too! i mean i DNF a lot of books as well so not actually 30 i guess i really enjoyed eleanor oliphant so i hope you do too 💗
Songbirds is such an interesting read. It’s not near as gripping as the Hunger Games trilogy, but it provides so much to the story. I love how you can get a look into Snows head as he slowly gets more evil. The seed was always there waiting to come out in the right circumstance.
I just finished the trilogy, and have Songbirds waiting. I’m fascinated by this world, so looking forward to reading it, and I’ve preordered her new one. Really reliably entertaining books!
I can always trust your recommendations. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the books you read last year. Sounds like you have some interesting reads to start the New Year! My favourite novel last year was Cleopatra and Frankenstein😍 my least favourite novel was House of Sky and Breath. One novel I am excited to read in 2025 is What You Are Looking For Is In the Library🥰 hope you are having a fabulous week!
this is getting me so excited to read more this upcoming year!! ✨ thank for you all the sweet videos coco! I think my favorite books from this past year were Eileen or Babel, and I’m most looking forward to reading Piranesi this year.
just added some books to my tbr list cos of this vid so thanks 👍🏾 it's for a uni course but I've never read Frankenstein so I'm excited to get stuck into that this month 😊
big swiss was one of my favs from last year, read her other two books straight after and they are just as good! started this year with two 5 star reads that i cannot recommend enough - all fours by miranda july, and martyr! by kaveh akbar.
my favourites from last year are „americanah“ by chimamanda ngozi adichie - i think i‘ve never read a story (partly) set in nigeria before, so that was cool, and i also loved „jade city“. it took me some time to get through it but the worldbuilding and the characters just felt so real to me! btw i love the longer video, perfect way to end a study day❤️🩹
i loved boy parts! my fav book from 2024 was the dance tree by kiran millwood hargrave, i was sobbing at the end because it was so good haha, and i want to read mcglue by otessa moshfegh this year!
favourite book of the year was probably an offer from a gentleman, the third bridgerton book. it got me out of a reading slump which is always great (I'm now reading the other bridgerton books and really enjoying also, they're good easy reads). least favourite was beautiful world where are you by sally rooney, i just got bored by it and i can't vibe with her writing style unfortunately. thursday murder club is on my tbr for this year as i've heard great things, also really want to read talking at night by clare daverly :)
@@helenamblx i always forget bridgerton is a book! glad you liked it :) beautiful world is my least favourite from rooney, i think i was also a bit bored :// and TMC is great! have fun with it 💗

My favourite book from 2024 was The Last Devil to Die by Richard Osman (love that series so much!!) and my least fave was unfortunately The Housemaid (controversial ik 🥲) For this year I’m probably most excited for Somewhere Beyond the Sea by TJ Klune, The Life Impossible by Matt Haig & Shy Creatures by Clare Chambers 🫶🏻
