- Common problem for Nintendo Switch - blue screen of death. This is when you turn on the console and it shows you beautiful blue screen. No sounds, no symbols, nothing.
The problem is desoldered processor. How to solder it properly - I will show you in this video. Subscribe!
Fair that you mention that reflowing is not permanent, some call it quick (and dirty) fixes. Kudo's for doing this in one go! Would love to see a reballing video of an APU :). Keep up the good work!

Thankyou so much for the video, it worked flawlessly on my switch lite, had this blue screen of death since a lot and couldn't fix it with anything, I tried reflowing the gpu like you did, i was a bit sketchy because my heat gun has a smaller nozzle and i was scared it couldn't heat up all the chip but it worked like a charm! =) the "gently" touch is probably what did the job reseating all the pins. now it is again up and running =) BIG UP!
So glad to hear it, my congratulations! One thing - this solution is temporary, so this fix could last years or you can get up tomorrow and get the BSOD againg lol. But hope it will last for years in your case!
@@goodgadgets4671let's hope it will just last for a long time :) in your experience, what could cause the shifting position of the processor? heat ? accidental drops and hits? i find it very hard to believe the heat of the GPU could melt the solder underneath considering it reaches a max heat of 90ish° while up and running for a long time, maybe a regular higher quality thermal paste reapplication could help? it's a very common problem of the switch lites, maybe the disign was not optimal considering a lot of them have this problem. I tried to unlock my switch lite but in the first time i cut off the rst point, then cames the blue screen. If i remake the trail, maybe go back working?

If you don't have an experience - of course. Because this type of soldering/unsoldering is pretty complicated.
As a boy mom, I can tell you the kid probably lost his game, got mad and bent the console; then told his mom he didn't know what happened to avoid getting in trouble...my son tried the same thing, but didn't know his mom was going to take it apart 😂😂😂

There is specil foil with glued surface. This surface covered with the paper you should remove before using foil. Also you can just wrap the common kitchen foil, no problem.
I had blue screen then after like 2 hour it was gone so I played for 3-4 hour then it happened again

I was trying to mod my switch lite and i knock off my capacitor sp2 and now i have blue screen... luckily i found the capacitor... but i dont kno which direction it should turn on the chip... i need some help with someone who has a switch and a tester to check the directions and help me out... please 🙏🏽
don't worry, direction is not important - this is SMD capacitor, you can solder it any direction.
@goodgadgets4671 also do you think the capacitor is the problem or did my soldering iron have too much heat it heated the solder under the chip and they made contact?.
Don't know, let's try to solder this capacitor, I think it is the problem.
No, sp1/sp2 caps can be knocked off and will not cause blue screen, check other places you have messed with

I installed a mod chip in my switch but after I removed it my switch showing blue screen of death any reason behind that?
I think you left soldering "bridge" connecting some contacts/capacitors. This is most possible. Also you can break one of small smd components or somehow overheated processor so it loosed some contacts.

Just look very carefully with microscope on any soldering point / smd component wich may be affected by mod chip installation

you must use flux. It will activate melting process. Without it the whole process will goes wrong.

Depends of hot air station. I used 330 then I raised it to 350. But be careful - better buy used defected motherboard and use it for experiments. Then try to repair your switch motherboard.

@@goodgadgets4671 ты именно машенник ))), потому что данное видео явная постанова, восстановление, поднять лайта с синего экрана весьма не простой процесс и прогревом цпу не обойдешься, у вас оленей видео как под копирку.
Процесс не простой, конечно. Но если ты не умеешь, то как бы это не моя проблема. Мамку попроси открыть соседний ролик, там реболл проца этой приставки. И глянь в словаре толковом значение слово "мошенник", плюс попроси родителей дать тебе по жопе за грубость.
