    I really like these units. The ones at the church where I work are 600 MHz and are being phased out shortly. On the bright side we are replacing them with several Axient units! Very much looking forward to the video on WWB!

      @@clmedia6971 Doesn't seem so. Shure has a compatability chart and those don't look to be compatible. You can always email them and ask though.

    You may have missed something. In '78 or '79 I worked with a national act that had Shure wireless for a few shows. Perhaps they were early Beta units.

    I still have a system of UR4D in rotation, although I’ve largely moved on to ULXD for most of my rigs. Great dependable set of RF!

      The ULXD are really nice, including Dante on those was a brilliant move.

    Is a used U4D or UR4D outdated here in 2022 and beyond if it is in the 500Mhz range in America? Would it be best to go with a modern wireless mic system like a Sennheiser or Shure SLX/QLX pair?

    Excellent video!! I know this is an analogue system, but how is it compare to a qlxd digital system in terms of the sound quality? Is it close to how the wired mic sound? TIA.

    My campus has these little guys everywhere, so we could just transfer equipment between venues without needing to rerack everything. It's going to be sad when we need to spec out a new venue and can't use the UR4D anymore. Robust, reliable, and easy to use.
    I haven't tried the new Axients yet, how do they look? Are they the same rugid and reliable workmanship that we expect from Shure?

    • @DcSoundOp

      The Axient stuff is pretty damn impressive. I'll be using them more in the coming weeks and months and I'm looking forward to seeing how they compare.

    Question for the video creator or anyone who knows: did the Shure UR4D system or its software have EQ possibilities?

    • @DcSoundOp
      @DcSoundOp  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Other than swapping capsules for a specific job, there was no EQ built into these systems. Thanks for the great question.

      Where are you located? If it's North America, I would not buy these, even for as little as $300, it's going to be frustrating to use them legally going forward.
