I've been following you even before you hit 1000 subs and I keep recommending you to my friends all the time. You are one of the few people on TH-cam that actually wanna help and pass information and not just brag about products. Well done!
Thank you so much for your support Soti! Information is easy and helpful for me to share, and I wish I had more people helping me when I first started!
As someone just getting started as a professional MUA I think your videos are the most informative and comprehensive of anyone I've watched on TH-cam!! So thanks, it really helps! 😁
Love your advice! Sometimes I feel awkward when I'm doing wedding party makeup because I feel like I'm not talking to the client enough and I may appear to be standoffish, when in reality I'm really just trying to focus and do the makeup fast! Good to know its okay to be silent sometimes! I hope the clients understand ;)
it's funny how she has less subscribers than what she deserves even after being so great just because everybody wants to run after stupid on and off trends and not the real art!!!! ❤️❤️❤️ i really look upto you! you're just filled with knowledge and i love that you're not keeping all your knowledge a secret! ❤️❤️ much love! ❤️❤️
Another subscriber from Houston, TX. I am not a MUA, but I work in a professional settings, and I have makeup on everyday. Starting tomorrow I will do my eye makeup first. This is a great idea. I am so glad that I found your channel. Keep up the good work!
I want to let you know how much I appreciate you sharing your insight! I literally watch 1 video from you each morning, and let everything you talk about sink in. I like that you don’t try to push the way you are as a makeup artist on others, you give suggestions, and always remind us to find our own way as an MUA, as we should aim to do. I used to watch so many videos on various topics, now I can pull research from just one channel, which is awesome!!!!!!Thank you so much for the amazing content!!! ❤️❤️❤️
My husband sends greetings. In this part of the world is almost 2 in the morning and I was so excited that you uploaded a new video that I managed to wake him up. Hahaah. Angie, I think you're becoming my favorite. :)
Great tips! Of everything I do, timing is my greatest struggle but mostly because from job to job, I have to adapt to different provisions for setting up and that often leads to me getting disoriented on where my things are - then I end up spending way too much time searching for stuff. Learning to do the most with the least is critical and ALWAYS putting my brushes in a cup - never putting them down on a surface - is crucial for always knowing exactly where to reach for them.
I will start a three months makeup course next month. I watched almost all of your videos now. They are super helpful to get an idea how it is to work as a makeup artist. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge :)))
Hi Angie, Natalie MUA from South Africa🇿🇦 Through practice a lot has improved in fact everything has improved but my timing!!! My problem is that I'm an obsessive blender and I spend way too much time on the eyes and then I rush through the rest. Another thing is the talking to clients... I cannot just talk and work I have to always stop and talk and if I do both I feel that I'm slower because I'm not 100%focused. But it's so important for building a good big strong client base to aside from your makeup being great, to also be friendly. So it's tough😃 I have been invited to be one of the muas at a photographer open day this Sunday and I'm soo nervous about delaying people as everything is booked and timed. But your video makes so much sense and such good tips. I'm definitely going try them out and I will give you feedback on sunday evening about if I was able to implement your tips and how they helped. Thank you for this video💜
I time myself for 40 minutes for each look too! The tip on fewer brushes and organizing your workstation is really helpful so I spend less time searching for what I need. Thank you for this video. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Just want to say thankyou so so much for doing what you are doing! Your channel is a source of so much information that no one really talks about. You are truly an inspiration. I cannot thank you enough. Every video of yours has been so helpful. Its amazing to see selfless people in this world who are willing to share so much to help others. I hope your channel gains the recognition you truly deserve. God Bless you xx
Another excellent video!! Thank you Angie. Your advice has proven to be invaluable to me. I will definitely be incorperating these time saving tips into my business.
I'm so glad I found you! I've been working as an MUA for about 3 years now and these tips are definitely things that I have worked on to get my speed up!
yeeeeiiii!! I got so excited every time I see you've posted a new video!! You've been such a great influence for me and my career as a Makeup-up Artist, I love your videos and I've learned a lot thanks to you...!! love ya
Hi Angie thank you for responding so quickly I have the most respect for you as a makeup artist and the advice you gave me made a lot of sense I will put it to practice thank you.
I'm so glad I found you! I'm an aspiring makeup artist and I have my first makeup consultation/trial tomorrow! Your pretty much the only channel I watch now for real honest great advice! Thanks so much! 👏☺️
This really helps! I've been watching your videos before helping a friend do makeup for his actors in his student film. I was a bit discouraged because i felt like i was being slow but you saying that speed (and precision) comes with practice is really reassuring :)
You have helped me so much! Just from watching your videos I’ve already cut my time on application 30 minutes. I’m tying to get to 45 minutes! I’m at about an hour to an hour 15. You are the best!! Could you please do a video about looks that are best for eye shapes. ❤️
As someone whose just starting out, I find your videos so helpful! I've been a painter for years so time management is a serious struggle for me bc I could literally paint the same face for 3 hours 🤣
Thank you soooo much for all your tips, you are very kind and I can see you think about the well being of others. You are my rolemodel. Who takes so much time for others to learn this much to improve themselves?
Thanks for what you do! Keeping it legit and sharing the knowledge 😘 I also keep gaffers tape in my kit, I use it to tape my trash bag to the table and have close while working and if I’m flying I use it to cover the latches on my train case so they don’t get broken at gate check. Gaffers tape is super easy to rip off, sticks well and leaves no residue 😜
this video was so helpful! I find that being vet. in the makeup industry; you can always learn new tips and tricks! this was a great one stop video! keep up the wonderful information and expertise!
Hi I just found your channel and have found it really helpful. I am fresh out of Hugh school and now seem like a child in the industry. I somehow landed a job for a music video and was wondering if you had tips on how to do it fast and make it last. Especially for the dancers as there is also some close up shots so I don’t want to make them look too caked or not enough powder that their face melts off. Love your videos 💕
Congrats on your gig! This is all stuff you have to learn in time. Stay organized at your station that will help with speed - but everything else you’ll have to figure out on your own! Speed comes with practice, and knowing how much makeup to apply comes from seeing your work on camera. This will be a great learning experience for you!!! Stay on schedule and make sure your client is happy!
Angie I love your videos.. Love your content Love your honesty i learned things from you which were never thought in artistry school . Sending u love from Dubai 🙏🏻🖤
Hi! I've found your chanel yesterday. Already watched like 5/6 full vídeos. I'm a makeup artist from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I started a few years ago, but it's really really healpfull to watch your vídeos! Genius, thanks for making a chanel that's truly towarded to makeup artistry as a profession. Love
Wow you are a great great teacher this helped me so much. I'm just starting to freelance and i feel so lucky to drop by at your channel. One thing i can't seem to understand is that, if the client has a cool undertone but she's wearing an orange dress! Following the color wheel, what will be my basis to match her eyeshadow? Is it the dress or the undertone herself?
When it comes to makeup on clients it’s usually down to what they want and colour theory goes out the window. If they leave it up to you, you can decide - if the dress is orange I personally would try to work with the colour of the dress. But that’s just me!!
Just found your account and although I'm young, these tips are handy as want to start makeup on friends and possibly become an mua when I'm older and your so helpful ily💗
Thank you so much for making this! Very helpful tips! I am definitely a talker and never shut up with my clients lol I've definitely had to learn how to talk and work at the same time.
Hi Marnie! I am not a fan of airbrushing, you can read this blog post: theangied.wordpress.com/2017/03/30/why-i-dont-use-an-airbrush-to-apply-makeup/ However with that being said this is only my opinion and how I like to work, there are many great artists that use it and can turn out beautiful makeup applications.
Your videos are so incredibly helpful! I'm aiming to reduce my time by about 15 minutes and these tips will help! I will definitely tag you in some photos on IG! Amazing!
Hi Angie : I would like to thank you for all of the videos its sow helpful , I would suggest setting the timer to 40 -45 min so when the times come and the alarm goes on I would no am getting better by time or not and its good practise
Hi Angie! This is such a helpful video. I am a new freelance MUA (literally just graduated). You mentioned the point about working efficiently and talking to your client at the same time...do you recommend having some music playing while you work on them? I have heard that having a fun playlist or the clients preference in music softly in the background helps you focus but also avoids any awkward silence but its quiet enough where you and the client can chat. Just wanted to see your honest thoughts on that! :-) thanks! I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!
Great question! Totally up to you, I know tons of MUA's that bring speakers with them! It's definitely something that is great to have and creates a nice atmosphere for your client.
i just love your videos! Even for artists who have been doing makeup for awhile, these videos are still inspiring to watch and they are a nice refresher. Some questions for you: Do you use airbrush? How do you feel about airbrush vs. traditional? what do you tell clients who ask for airbrush?

You are amazing and so underrated !
Thank you for these!!!!!
Thanks for watching!
i just love your videos! Even for artists who have been doing makeup for awhile, these videos are still inspiring to watch and they are a nice refresher. Some questions for you: Do you use airbrush? How do you feel about airbrush vs. traditional? what do you tell clients who ask for airbrush?
I have a blog post about that actually!
theangied.wordpress.com/2017/03/30/why-i-dont-use-an-airbrush-to-apply-makeup/
I am not a fan, if someone asks me for airbrush I usually try to refer them to another artist who does it!
I accidentally bump on your video. OMG! your an angel! thanks so much for sharing your skills and talent. your so generous! God bless! and more job. Love from the Philippines! Hugs!
Thank you so much May!
Can you make a video on the different primers and foundations you use on different skin types?
Great suggestion Brenda!!! I'm a makeup artist that does not really like using primer at all with any of my clients! I love RCMA and Face Atelier for all skin types and Cinema Secrets for oily/blemish prone skin is great!
i needed this video! im nee to freelance, self taught... and time iz what i am working on. i apy makeup in about 45mins to an hour and id like to drop down to 30 mins!
Good for you!!! Sounds like you can definitely make it happen!!!!
Great info thanks xoxo
