Do you prefer double bass paddle? I have got it but it tends to mess up the whole practise and the first time I almost got a dead leg (god knows how) pls suggest should I continue using it and if yes then how to build up speed for double?
Only use a double pedal after you've practiced with the single pedal long enough. Like say 3 - 5 months ? And to develop speed checkout these techniques. Heel toe, swivel and flat foot technique. Learn them it will be useful to develop speed and helps you with those quick bursts. And last but not least, practice!
A general rule of thumb is to get each foot fast enough to play Immigration Song by Led Zeppelin fairly easily. Work on each foot seperately though! :)
i usually got confused about WHEN should i pull up my foot when i want to hit to the bass drum. Because when i am playing 16th notes, i usually got wrong timing with my foot cooperating with my hand😢😢😢what should i do😢
Gabe, great lesson, really amazing tom beat but I'm still working on my doble bass foot technique, gotta get that right! blessings and greetings from Colombia!
By the way I love how you put in sheet music and a metronome into the video, that's something that I have been wanting for while
+Marshal Mciff Awesome I'm so glad you like the change! I'll definitely continue to do that.

Great sounding beat, but I just thought I should point out that one of my video recommendations on the right is for a vegetarian Thai "Tom Yum" soup.

+saanidhay singh I use a double pedal sometimes, but for the most part I stick to a single pedal.

What's your opinion regarding cymbal design nowadays? The way I see it is all these designs aim mostly at making them look cool than anything else.

Work on limb independence before speed then 😀
