Thank you. This was my go-to guide. A tip for anyone stuck with putting the heat shield back on. To get the "slider piece" back together, I had to take off the air filter box to access it better from that direction.
hi nice video i have one question : do you remapping the ecu after instal the downpipe ? you don't have a default code whit the sensor ? thank you for your futur reply
Bro... I purchased the dp, and while installing, there is a gap. but that extension that you show in min 7:15 doesn't come with it... do you have the part number by any chance?
Hi there, I want to do this my self aswel could you tell me what kind of tools I need, I saw some kind of torx bault? Did you do this with out a bridge ? Hope you can reply to me. Kind regards
Does the milltek decat once fitted give some pops and crackles once fitted. I have a standard dp on my mini r55 clubman cooper s. I was going to replace my dp for a milltek dp and fit a scorpion catback system
Class video I’ve fitted a scorpion one, how did you go about sealing the turbo connection? I’ve fitted it fine but now have a slight smell of fumes inside the cabin when at a standstill
I had it tuned with the decat on. Then once removed I got the car tune adjusted, not a full tune just an adjustment but that did reduce the power slightly. As this video I put the standard pipe back in.
Lawrence H thank you very much. You’ve got very nice content. Let me ask you one more question. Do you know which one of the two Milltek downpipes ( for oem catback or for Milltek catback ) should I buy if I have a scorpion catback ? 😅again thank you very much for your helpful answers
@@LawrenceHorsfall yeah, I got it done that's the main thing! One more question. The little connection under the intake tube that you have to undo, the small one. What is that?? It looks like a blank to me and just a cover for the wiring connector. Maybe used in another engine perhaps?
Thanks for this awesome guide mate. I’m looking to do this at some point myself and this has given me a bit of confidence lol. What was the reason you went back to a cat?
With the pro exhaust it's very loud in open mode. Good fun but I'm looking to do some track days so just want to keep the noise down abit. Glad it could help you
@@LawrenceHorsfall Hmm thats odd. Maybe its a USA thing. My JCW pro exhaust came with another cat installed in the front pipe. I circled it here in this picture. imgur.com/2UshDaN
Finally found this video. Been looking for 5 months. Love my f55 and Finally got my parts
交換作業が非常にわかりやすい動画でした!
The replacement work was a very easy-to-understand video!

Where did you get it from
@@eurotrash4643 got it from OutMotoring.com
Spoke to them, and seems that the have difference for US an UK version.
Awesome videos I’m looking for a down pipe for my f56 Cooper s would this cause my check engine light to come on
Possibly. Only happened to me on a cold start in -4 Celsius
How would this affect the MOT? Would the car pass MOT? I am thinking of doing this but a bit confused about MOT

Great video, very informative.

I used the OEM exhaust gasket and had no issues. maybe a new gasket is needed?
Is this only a downpipe? Everything else stock?
With this type of long o2 sensor bracket, is there any CEL in ur situations?
I know the miltek and scorpian both have it like this to not throw a code. But on a cold morning it caught me. But I got mapped after anyway
Was installed the Milltek cat,is it a Mot failure thanks
Hello! Very nice video. One question. After installing the oem downpipe do you need to tune your mini again ?

Hey why did you put the cat back on?
still no smell in the cabin at a red light?
Thanks for the video, did you need to use exhaust paste on the cat/exhaust connection?
I never used any, but a small amount just to seal any minor gaps would be ideal.
@@LawrenceHorsfall thanks dude, appreciate you taking time to reply.
What a dick of a job by the way lol
@@Saavvvv good fun and a nice challenge. Can be a right pain.

What exhaust do you have on it and why are you putting the original cat back on?
it has the JCW Pro exhaust and all the gains where good from the exhaust power wise, it was just too loud for me so wanted to tone it down again.
@@LawrenceHorsfall watched all the videos, love them but have a couple of questions which I have sent through on Instagram
Did you have the secondary cat on the jcw pro exhaust still? or was that gutted?
There's only one cat on these cars but it's massive. The pro doesn't have a resonator.
@@LawrenceHorsfall Hmm thats odd. Maybe its a USA thing. My JCW pro exhaust came with another cat installed in the front pipe. I circled it here in this picture.

@@LOLewie Yeah I've never seen that before. The UK cars is just cat in downpipe. Then splits to silencer or valved exit.
It definitely is a US thing, I had my 2nd cat removed off of the mid pipe
Where did you buy the part?
Off eBay, but the miltek site
@@LawrenceHorsfall thanks
why does it look like you took the factory downpipe off and put it back on again.. lol
This is not as easy as he makes it look. My biggest pain is getting the cat in and clamp on the exhaust manifold, the brackets don’t line up correctly
