  • In this weeks video I have an early 200tdi discovery in for a boot floor replacement and mot, the original boot floor as done well and lasted 34 years! Join me as I cut out the rust, clean up the edges and weld in a new boot floor. #landrover #rust #4x4

    Brilliant. Good job. I've an old 300tdi that's gone in the back. I wish you lived near me . I hope mine go's aswell as your video repair went . Kind regards phil

      Thankyou Phil, I have done a few boot floors now! Take your time cutting it out if you have a good edge that can be salvaged from the side floors around the wheel tubs. Good luck Rich

      I will tell you what I use to clean up the primer for the spot welds, I get an 6 or 8mm drill bit and grind the end flat, fits through the hole and preps the exact area to weld 👌 stepdad passed that on to me.

    Good description of the process but I would have taken the fuel tank and filter out, even though it is a Diesel.

    Where in the UK are you based? My 1998 disco needs more and more work that I cannot do myself.

      Hi I'm in Oxfordshire, unfortunately I have lost my workshop due to a redevelopment going on so it might be a while until I am up and running again!
