- Here it is folks, the ultimate guide to editing gaming subtitles. You asked, I giveth. It's a big one, I spent many months figuring out the tricks to doing it right, from being the most grueling part of the editing experience to now being an actually rather enjoyable part of the creative process.

I don't think the average person realizes how much time and effort goes into this editing style. It's easy to consume so it's easy to under-appreciate but as an edditor, I just wanna say that I respect you so much. Fast meme relevant, attention grabbing videos aren't easy to make without them becoming cringey. You nail it though, I really appreciate these tutorials because it's needed now.

Excellent tutorial! Your step-by-step guide made it easy to follow along and understand the subtitle editing process in Premiere Pro.
me: wanting to add texts:
fin: head on to the effects control
me: ok
fin: make your transition look smoth
go to effects controls
me: uhh.......o..k? :\
fin: head on to the-
Me: stop it, dude! :|
Two things take will make things way easier on top of this:
1. Instead of editing fonts and stuff in the Effects control panel, edit it in the Essential Graphics window - slightly better layout and easier scrolling and selecting
2. Google what a 'master text style' is in Premiere. This will save your hours if you ever want to change the font or size or drop shadow of ALL your subs AFTER you've made them all.

It's pretty self explanatory. Only thing that you might not understand is to go to Window in the top bar of Premiere and check Essential Graphics Panel

How did you do the Car emporium bit with the text? Looks odd following your instructions and making the sentence split like that
Edit: Think I might've figured it out, you just delete the keyframe where it starts at scale 0, and instead have it start at say 120 then next keyframe 100.
I think where it might be looking rough is because of having the key frame start at 0.
You need the first one to be 100, second 120, third 115. That's how I do them.

How do I do the “Aaaaaaa” when they A keeps getting added
There are a few ways to do it, whichever is easiest for u. Either make one long "Aaaaaa" and put it in a rectangular mask, and then keyframe the mask so it reveals the whole word as the person says it, or cut one text layer into like 8 right next to each other and add one "a" in each next oneand reposition them however u like.

Premiere pro can be quite demanding. If you can upgrade, I would suggest that before you get premiere :)
