Hi, Have you checked mode1/2 with the AMT/AM settings ? I've heard that mode1 works better with AMT and gives you better results

I didn't notice any difference whether I chosen mode 1 mode 2 or the third option called "none".

@@Hobby1976 ok, thanks for your answer - I was asking because I found that description:
Depending on your version you may have Mode 1 or Mode 2 set. I have absolutely no idea what they actually do, what difference there is in each setting, only that my 2021 built HS Exclusive DCT had MODE 1 set as factory default and with AMT set, the car is transformed. I am aware of a few owners who had MODE 2 set and switched to MODE 1, and one manual owner who switched to MODE 1 and noticed a big improvement, and said that the car is better.
Early thoughts seems to suggest that setting to AMT and MODE 1 give big improvements to driveability on Manual and DCT variants.

@@dydek0123 yes exactly that's what I read too about both of the settings, I can only say that I only noticed a significant noticeable difference when I changed AT to AMT. I didn't know about these settings when I had my 2021 car before I got TBoned but that car was no fault so maybe that was configuration correctly, it was only when I got my replacement car 2022 I noticed straight away and knew it had to be something, the MG dealership kept trying to convince me it was how DCT drives. Hard to swallow when having only driven the same car for several months from new. 🙂 So glad I changed to AMT.

    what about MG5 2024

the mg5 Vibe has a CVT transmission so doubt that but the mg5 essence gas DCT 7speed transmission which if the engineering mode allows the amt and yours is set differently it would be your choice if you change it to see if there is any difference in performance and its your risk and your responsibility. 🙂

The AMT thing is only 1 step in approximately 7 different settings which can be adjusted in the engineering mode including emissions and country code settings which basically turns the MG HS into an equivalent DSG transmission.
Currently 15,000+ world wide MG HS owners are very happy with their new configuration. So much so SAIC are now Factory setting them to the same configuration.
Trouble with online forums and TH-cam is people listening to fools who try to take credit for other people's work and then screw up by offering false information because they dont fully understand the concept!

I think that's why we always have to be wise and on the side of caution with social media in anything these days. I have posted from my own experience from adjustments and the outcomes. With receiving my vehicle from new and only making one adjustment being the AMT, it made a difference and as you have mentioned there is other settings that can be adjusted and how a vehicle will perform and it's good to hear SAIC are now doing a new configuration. Thanks for the info. 🙂👍
