- Legends of WoW is a series in which Mike interviews someone from the WoW scene, be it content creators, high end players etc. to see what their experience was like in World of Warcraft. This was initially filmed as part of an unreleased video and was recorded during Shadowlands Beta.
Cloze aka Kenny is one of Mike's guildmates but previously was a member of Nihilum during vanilla and Ensidia during Wrath, so he should have some stories to tell!

Preach as an interviewer is one of the most entertaining things to listen to.
Lappe is still playing so it should be relatively easy to get a hold of him.

Death and Taxes, I remember trolling their forums for hints on a certain un-killable old-god. Unfortunately, my guild imploded on the twins prior.. its amazing how one warlock able to move 3-4 feet correctly one night, and then never again will destroy a guild.
Last time I actually committed at all to pve was in BC so hearing these old names is pretty awesome. Thx for this content preach

I am surprised that Preach knew so little about Vanilla raiding. Everyone knew Nihilum, they had the world first Cthun. They were not the underdog but the top guild going into Naxx. I think they were the Dark Horse since most people on the forums wanted Death and Taxes to win Naxx. Also even my guild, which was only clearing a handful of bosses in Naxx by the time Nihilum killed KT, was using flasks on every member for AQ40 and Naxx.
I didn't really understand raiding until Wrath, so this was so cool to listen to. I wasn't even aware this had happened! Preach, your interviewer atmosphere is great, keep working on stuff like this!

I got World #22 Firefighter and it's absolute my proudest moment. The fight was nuts, but so much fun!
I remember being in the Nihilum alt raid team with my druid OT in BT for a few weeks, and Kungen were a amazing RL. Still being one of my best moments of my wow history.

Kungen is overrated. After TBC he never accomplished anything.

@@midnyte_tv Yeah, it wasn't like Ensidia was in the world first running for Lich King. Kungen is obviously elevated to legend status and those levels of admiration will of course generate something hyperbolic as well. Is Kungen solely responsible for Nihilum/Ensidia success? No, he isn't. Is he to be counted as one of the best GMs/RLs in the game's history? Yes, he is. His merits from Vanilla Naxx to Lich King absolutely warrants it.
Didn't know who this was but recognized the guild name. Loved listening to this at work while having it on my second monitor!

Preacher, have followed you for a long time but never commented until now. Great job always. I would love to see/hear a conversation with Setja (?) the main tank for Paragon. I think that would be interesting because I have never found very much about him.
Could have listened to a 10 hour chat between Mike and Kenny. Interesting to see what it was like behind the scenes before everything was streamed or on wowprogress. Back then the only info we got was shit talking and rumours on iirc

I remember Shazzrah in Molten core. we pulled it into Garr's Room and had grp of 5 8 diff spot to avoid the aoe damage

Absolutely, truth be told, this interview was never meant to be published. This chat with Kenny was for a completely unrelated topic that turned into the chat. In fact; although Xaryu's was released first, it was recorded last. Kennys was the very first one we made and realized, these are great.
I get your point but it is written in the lower right corner of the screen. Kenny/Cloze was a member of Nihilum which is one of the most famous wow guilds ever which was active from Vanilla to Wrath. Death and Taxes, Nihilum, SK Gaming and others are the Methods of old.
Nihilum was so big that an open letter from them made blizzard change the way consumables worked. They are a big deal.
But i completely agree this video is made for people who know their wow history and not very friendly to people who don't.

I guess when one is younger one doesn't realize that such a statement implies one believes he is the best player in the guild. Or did understand the implication, but actually believed it. Good times.

If I remember correctly...and I should since my source of income back in classic was herb farming...the biggest hurdle for flasking was the fact that the Black Lotus was rare as FUCK back then. On pvp servers battles would break out over a lotus if a non herbalist found one and had to defend the node until a guildie showed up. Hell I remember being paid off by a guild I did business with to gather a Lotus in Sithilus because their Herbalist was up in Felwood and they'd already had to kill several horde that came sniffing around.
Top 1000 retail guilds could do what these guys were doing back then cuz old content is easy. Just look at classic how ez game is
