Same issue here as well! Man,... that thing looks a lot more beefy than that thin one they supply. I'd be happy to buy one from you as well. Seems like this "made in China" stuff is meant to break!
Great tutorial video! The only problem is... that sophisticated machining equipment that you use. I could try to handcraft one, wich would take forever to do, and wouldn't be precise. After all and unfortunately I have to opt for a new drill...
Only issue is that there's supposed to be a little catch on the front and back of that slit you made, to prevent the blade from sliding out. That's why the blade has a T shape at its handle. You need to tighten down on those bolts mad until you strip threads or damage their heads, or if the blade gets a good bite on the material it'll slip right out. Also the original part is made of some magnesium or soft aluminum or some sheit so it dies fast quick in a hurry.
i thought the same thing but i think there are a couple types. mine is like his, the t part doesnt go into the clamp. it makes no sense why they all wouldnt have the clamp the wide flares of the blade seat in to keep the blade from coming out, its stupid but its prolly a way to skimp on time/cost a tiny bit lol
@@modernmountaineer yep, penny pinching. I've used blade holders that simply rely on the "ramp" clamping on the blade harder the more it's "tugged" out. It works if the clamp is made of quality material but it's a bIETCH to take out once it's jammed solid in there.
Awesome machining. I have the same problem. Can't make my own part but did find an online site that sells replacement parts for all sorts of things including my saw. Quicker just to just buy a new saw but I hate to waste things.
@@Muslimah2004 Here's the link. Hope you find the part you need. www.ereplacementparts.com/search_result.php?q=black%20and%20decker&parts_products_class_name=Clamps
