Gentle piece of help: when pronouncing Japanese words written in English, every vowel is pronounced. So Ikanaide has 5 syllables-Eee-cahn-ah-eee-day 💜 Edited to add: each IKANAIDE is meant to be sung with a different emotion. The lyricist of the piece said Dimash was the first non-native speaker to understand that and execute is properly. A Canadian Dear 🦌🇨🇦💜🇰🇿

Not a wasted breath or note, each articulated with a dedication to his personal interpretation and demand for flawless artistry. It's what puts him in a category of his own and makes it impossible to assign him to one. Thank you Danielle.

Thanks for another amazing reaction. Ikanaide was used as the title song for a Chinese-Japanese TV series "Farewell, Lixianglan" about a Japanese actress Yoshiko Yamaguchi (12 Feb 1920 - 7 Sept 2014) who was born in China. She hid her Japanese heritage under the name Li Xianglan. She became famous in China during World War II. However, once the war was over and her identity was revealed, she was accused of being a spy and was deported to Japan. She didn't return to China for many years. Ms Yamaguchi did return to China in her later years as the Japanese Parliamentary Vice Minister of Environment.

Thank you. This is a masterclass of vocals by Dimash. The song is emotional and Dimash's story telling ability is incredible. I appreciate your observations and thoughts. But I have to say that I just wish everyone would keep Disney out of their reviews. :D

This was another very enjoyable reaction. This is quickly becoming one if not the favorite Dimash performance for me and it invokes a very visceral response in me, just as "Ave Maria" did. Dimash sang (and recorded) "Ikanaide" live for the Tokyo Jazz Festival Live stream in January of 2021. According to several native Japanese speakers, Dimash's pronunciation of the lyrics is nearly flawless. One native speaker, who gave a detailed analysis, stated that he is "expressing Japanese more (better) than Japanese" and that he does not only perfectly pronounce Japanese but "expresses Japanese…with Japanese emotion.". Goro Matsui, who wrote the lyrics to "Ikanaide," posted on his Twitter account that he has never heard a foreigner sing in Japanese in such a beautiful way.

Great reaction. This song, for me, is so touching and sad. He’s happy and he’s looking ahead to when it might stop. Right now, this is my favorite song. Dimash has a new song coming out and also a video. Igor and Dimash are together again. Bev

Dimash is quite the athlete. A lot of his training as far as his lungs are concerned, is swimming and swimming under water while holding his breath.

Hello Danielle, I'm a long time subscriber of yours and I love your reactions especially to Dimash. If I may, I'd like to say I've noticed that you often and your video before the song is complete. In this one for instance, you didn't let it play out to the final note and it happens that you missed out on a very fine point Dimash put on it. Just a final gesture at the very end giving respect to the Japanese people and the fact that this was a Japanese song.

Thanks, Danielle. If I could watch a whole album of Dimash performing in exactly this environment, no one would be able to find me for at least a year. All of the little details we miss in other settings are stunning, and maybe Dimash focuses on them even more completely when he knows we can hear them. Can you imagine hearing his breath work in "Ave Maria" in this studio?? "Ikanaide" has become my favourite performance from Dimash.

I saw an interview with Dimash and he said this was his favourite song to perform at the moment. It is so beautiful and let’s us here some things we don’t usually get to here. It has this beautiful sort of ebb and flow, feeling a bit like Ave Maria that gentle in and out or up and down whatever it is. So soothing. Love seeing your excitement and appreciation. Can you imagine what it must feel like to be him, to be able to create such stunningly beautiful sound.

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than Ten(10) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. Hello , this is without a doubt , the best and most emotional interpretation of Dimash for me . This is an extremely difficult song to sing, and he does it sublimely. I love every breath of Dimash.
