About the book: Written at Baba’s directive, who gave the theme and title during the November 1955 Meherabad Sahavas, Stay with God was read out to Baba multiple times in early 1959 and published later that year. Calling it second in importance on to God Speaks, Baba said that it gives God Speaks life. “The book contains food for the brain and a feast for the heart,” Baba said; “it will appeal both to the highest intellects and to those with simple hearts.” “My love will touch the heart of all who read it, as no book has ever done.”
Francis Brabazon, an Australian poet who lived with Baba for more than a decade, became, in effect, Baba’s resident poet, and in this capacity wrote many other poems and songs at Baba’s behest. As a modern epic, Stay with God represents a return to truly great literature, in which the life of the Avatar of the Age is chronicled in manner befitting this ancient theme. Baba dictated three unique messages specifically for this book, including His most comprehensive and detailed statement about His Silence and the Word of words with which He will break it.
About Ward Parks: Living in Meherabad as a spiritual trainee since 1993, his work centers on the editing of Meher Baba’s words from manuscript and other textual sources. He has served as a principle editor of In God’s Hand (2000), Infinite Intelligence (2005), the Revised Sixth Edition of Discourses (2007), Early Messages to the West (2009), Divine Theme (2010), Tiffin Lectures (2017), and the forthcoming Creation and its Causes (2022).
