  • This movie documents a farm's transition from a group-housed, acidified waste milk feeding system for calves to a group-housed, computerized milk replacer feeding system in a new facility. The technology incorporated into the new calf barn and the effects of these changes on animals and people are highlighted.

I have no idea what a true farm is or what a strong future should qualify as, I wonder what I will get out of this video.

We have received several requests for additional information on the floor drain system at True Farms. You can find out more about this type of floor system by contacting Seneca Dairy Works/Seneca Iron Works in Seneca Valley, NY.

Why you separated calves from their mother. Calves will be very happy with their mom's.

Raising dairy calves separately means greater attention can be given to their health and nutrition needs. It also improves their safety since they are not underfoot of a herd of cows. As the movie shows, raising calves together allows them to exercise and play and to develop important social bonds with their herdmates. These are all good things.

@@milkspecialtiesglobalanima7250 hey there, great reply you've posted in response to the initial question here. Sadly I suspect that for those of us whom are not a part of the dairy and/or an associated industry quite often don't think of the relevant and quite important points you've highlighted. As you quite rightly point out, the calves, and especially the really young ones would be at considerable risk due to sizing differences. Your point about the herd is another good one, given I'd expect cattle of similar ages to be herd mates for somewhat longer that cattle who are considerably older
Thanks again for your respectful and measured response, I can only hope the original question was posted as an honest inquiry and not out of deceipt. I wish you, your families and your business the best moving forward! 👍☺️

Fucker..of course these calf cannot be with their mom...because they will steal all the cow milk which belong to us human..we need the milk from cow..so we can get fed and we farmer get money...These calf don't deserve to drink milk from their mum...we need to slaughter them asap for veal meat...wake up
