Gosh I went to foster care, Parkerville twice, mother’s bf hand in my pants... my heart wasn’t angry but my heart was just telling me I was worthless, unlovable, ugly, sinful. I did a lot of stuff that must have washed onto my kids... one of who is 40 and is a Meth addict. I can’t help him. A year ago I got a call fro Him crying saying he might need rehab.... he was an E. I called his dad in Boddington, researched Shalom House, sent all the info. My son was put in hospital after a massive panic attack, then his dad took him home for 5 days then he went back to his house, quit his job because his paranoid mind told him his gf was sleeping with all his work mates and they were laughing... he’s not worked since... he went back to a C.... recently he called because his gf had left. He was destitute about to lose his house etc.. sold everything he can, he seemed to be an E. His delusions and crazy thinking is clear... he’s cooked his mind! So I sent all the info links etc for Shalom House.. he admitted he needed it but just couldn’t bring himself to lay down his life... His sister thinking she was helping got him groceries delivered to his door (we live in SA) I gave him money cuz he said his phone was out of credit... I felt he needed a line to us, to get help, to call Shalom... but he didn’t. He called his ex, let her know he had food so she came back... we’re back to D. His father went to see him but he wouldn’t talk and told him to go! My daughter and I’ve since sent him a message to say no more! He gets help or our door and purse is closed. It’s hard to know what his father and brother will do but I’ve asked them to watch this and to do the same.

I watched this short clip and listened to everything Peter spoke about from the beginning to the end. Such a powerful message. My heart went out to Peter because I am a Mum of three sons. I have never smoked or tried any drug, so I couldn't possibly understand why people would chose to turn to drugs or the affect of it. I am a social drinker and usually get drunk after just one drink. However, I have a son and grandson whom I am desperate to help overcome their addiction to drugs. How do I go about it? Thanks. Gwen.
