Street Food Feast at Global Village, Dubai 🇦🇪

- I visited Global Village; a massive theme park in Dubai. The theme of this park is that many nations from across the globe have a space where their local food and products are sold. I went to Global Village specifically for the food.
The theme park is much bigger than I expected. As I went on a weekday and before evening it was very peaceful with lots of room to walk around and no queues anyway.
I indulged in food and drinks from India, Thailand, Japan, Turkey and Bosnia. I'd originally planned to buy one item from each country but India, Japan and Thailand temped me back for seconds.
I tried food that I hadn't experience before such as Dahi Puri, an Indian snack, and also many things that I'd eaten before but are difficult to find overseas such as Takoyaki, a Japanese street food.
Global Village is very well laid out and has a big fairground in the middle of it with roller coasters, Ferris Wheel, ghost house and all that sort of stuff. I dared not try it with a belly full of food though. They're also quite strict about not taking cameras on the rides. I'd usually just find a sneaky way to use my camera on the rides, as I did at Dufan in Indonesia, but it's not really a good idea to break rules in the UAE.

global village is the best place anyone can be. the cultures and the people from around the globe. THE FOOD, the music, the dance. everything is amazing. and you cannot finish every place in an entire day. you gotta come two times at the least and the fare isn't too much. it's less than 20$ and its amazing
Yeah the fare is 15 dirhams which is about 4 dollars

Dale always keeps himself in an excellent physical shape despite of trying all kinds of different foods, often in large portions . I’d like to try them too, but I’m not that adventurous and brave.

Hey dale, welcome to UAE :) our favorite stand in global village is Bosnia... they still have their own people employed in stands, and good performances ,etc.. glad you checked it out :) African stand used to be the best but all they have is whitening cream now lol..

Great video Dale! I love international food fairs and this one was not overly crowded! I wish I was there!! Dubai is so clean and beautiful. One suggestion: more food closeups, I'm very curious to see some of the components of the dishes to learn. Nice to have you back and safe travels :-)
hey dale, always great fun watching you try new and interesting street food. that Global village looks like alot of fun. you should go back and do a part 2. My favs though are wen you go off the beaten path to talk to the local people and try their street food. Stay safe!!

At K3, the first sauce was the tamarind one which you missed. And “sev” is gram flour shavings. Flour made out of gram flour, masala, asafoetida. Fried using a kitchen tool which kind of turns them into string like fritters.
Also in india especially north part one plate costs u not more than 👍 50 rupees

Bosnian cuisine is mix of the of the Latin, Greek, Hungarian and Turkish.

it is Mexican cake called Tres Leches ( three milks), as it is done with three different kind of dairy products...it is quite easy to make, there are a lot of recipes on net...

You missed the ride as you were alone. That is the problem being single Ha..Ha...ha. Dale you made me possible to take a Dubai tour almost for free which otherwise would had cost me a few lacs of rupees. Especially visit to water park and aquarium were fantastic. So thnx a lot.
The spicy foods make it taste good but as a 1st generation Canadian raised by a Scotsman - waiting for what happens at the other end is scarier LOL. My Dad used to make us curries and chili that would "weld your teeth together" because they were so hot but then he would cook whole milk into it so it disappeared into the dish... The flavours would stay but the heat was basically gone... I LOVE pomegranate juice but I refuse to pay the price they want in the local stores for POM brand. I've found a few places to get it but I keep it a treat because even the "cheap" places are still quite pricey. Heather xo

I’m just a bit confused by the tres leeches. It’s one of my favorite desserts, but it tends to be from Central and South America and looks nothing like that she served you. That looked more like flan. None of which are Bosnian to my knowledge?? Just a bit confused by that.
