A tribute to one of my favorite villains of all time, Davy Jones, captain of the Flying Dutchman. Man, what a character. I decided to do two parts with this, one showing his cruel, devil side and the other with the Calypso storyline, showing his tragedy. Hope you all enjoy this video!

Davy Jones has the complexity that Disney hasn’t given a villain in a long time

I think we can all agree that the character of Davy Jones In these movies was one of the best performances ever.
David Jones one of the best Villain in the Pirates of the Caribbean Never underestimate him
My favorite
Nah, he's one of the best villains overall. The acting, the CGI, the story, and the meaning behind him, flawless.
He was also the most misunderstood villain.
He never wanted to be evil.
He became evil because he was betrayed by his one love.
Turned his back on everything good after that.
Just to take his pain and anger out on the world.
And to mis-use his responsibility as ferryman to guide the dead.
Don't forget Hector
The best villain, almost immortal, control the kraken, afraid of nothing and have the fcking best ship of the entire ocean
Vader, Davy jones, Tai Lung, Dracular, snape, all characters who wanted to be loved but lost that hope. None of them were born villains
"H-How do you know of the- key?" Emotion like that hasn't been portrayed in a disney film in a long time till then and since
Fear and pain in his heart in that moment
Davy Jones is truly a cruel but tragic character. Props to POTC team for writing and depicting him so well. Definitely my favourite villain to this day 😊
“many things you were Davy Jones ,BUT NEVER CRUEL”
"Life is Cruel....Why should the afterlife be any different"
As a child I didnt get this too well, but being an adult all these years later....holy shit.
I absolutely love Davy Jones as a villain. He is kinda quirky, but also pretty intimidating. And also I love his voice, cuz it’s just so unique. Also, really good edit, depicted him very well.
This video is so underrated. Captain Davy Jones is one of a kind. A masterpiece.
This is gonna be awesome one of the greatest movie villain cant wait to see what you do with him
Hey Dazed Edits are you almost done with your Tributes for Davy Jones and Viktor?
In the souls of men, a narrative unfolds, mirroring the fate of Davy Jones, scourged by love's deceit. Cast away by their paramours, they navigate the tumults of passion, only to be wrecked on duplicity's crags. Such tales recount not solely the torment of abandoned affections but the spirit's steadfastness. Deception remade Jones, a testament to love's bitter edge, transforming him into a specter of vengeance, a formidable executioner. Yet, in this transformation lies redemption; through tempests and turmoil, a beacon of hope guides their embattled hearts to harbors anew.
Well said. Beautiful
Except he dies without her embrace.
@@GoSkaTeproductionsshe is the goddess of the sea, so he technically did die with her embrace after falling over the ship rail
@@alisond929 Damn. This makes his fate even sadder.
I just want a movie (or a trilogy) of Davy meeting Calypso and becoming cpn of the Flying Dutchman and at the end of some struggle and adventure reach his ten year mark to come ashore and be broken to see she didn't wait for him as he was coming for her. It'd honestly be such a tragic story and maybe before credits roll it pans to Davy’s and then flashes to his current form with the tentacles and a cold heart.
Dude you just gave away your million dollar idea to Disney for free 😅😅😅😅...
@@lizjo7213 Ah well, it seems they are more interested in just rebooting it all.
Shut up and take all my money!!!!
Thank you for being such a great editor. Davy Jones will always be one of the best villains! thank you for honoring Bill Nighy's well deserved performance!
The pirates trilogy is just so beautiful. Especially the dialogue. DUDE Can we talk about the Shakespearen flair? Sheesh!!
Growing up I always loved these films 1-3 more and the Davy Jones ones were phenomenal still hold up even today and this villain my goodness scary but shows his heart with calypso and that scene in the jail's where he talks to her just shows you more depth to what turned him into what he became love this films always nice to see someone editing them still
Punctuation?
Just rewatched all Potc movies & Davy Jones is best villain of the series
Thanks for making beautiful tribute it’s like watching a shortfilm
Bill Nighy fucking killed it as Davy Jones
Just listened to the davy Jones theme 3 times in a row After this
I love it
underrated opinion time: Davy Jones is and will forever be my all time favorite movie villain, the way he can be so cruel but so volnerable when it comes to Calypso (not letting get away he end his crew look badass) !
Very skilled editing. Not showing his face for a while is very skilled, great work!
I like to think that SpongeBob’s Flying Dutchman takes place after Jack pierced through his heart and he falls into the ocean.
This is so phenomenally done, it feels like an ad trailer for a new Davy Jones movie, it portrays him brilliantly great work!
Wow what a video. Davy Jones is one of my all time favorite villains and was invested in every second of your tribute. Incredible work👏
I honestly gotta give it to you. Great edit, watched it over amd over again. The dialogue, backround music and everything-awesome.
Only Davy Jones could stand in a bucket and look intimidating.
This was so amaziing!
And I loved how you portrayed his story.
Massive props my guy, this was awesome! Good job! You did my favorite villain of all time justice!
Awesome tribute! The world needs more potc edits fr
Incredible edit. Thank you so much 🌹
A masterpiece tribute for a masterpiece villain. Love this so much my friend, every video is better than the last!
That’s one of the best edit I’ve ever seen
Amazing work! Great tribute
Luv ur edit...goosebumped...
1:13 Holy mackerel this just hit me: The Kraken is summoned the same way Sandworms are summoned?!
Crazy crazy good edit!
Wonderful work! He's such a powerful character, and one of the best villains of all cinema history.
Davy Jones is my favorite one of my favorite villians and wish movies today had the same formula for new villians
Great edit. It's tough to label Davy Jones as a "villain". In another world he would be the hero.
What a beautiful edit
These videos are always great
He never wanted to become the strongest power of all seas, he wanted to be weak and loved , but being fooled into becoming of prisoner of Dutchman he had 2 options die or become immortal . I think he asks the same question he once answered for himself , he is afraid of death and thats why he chose power.
Wow you explained it really well
Your cool
Well put together, great arrangement and cuts, nice work here. 👍
Thanks!
another banger incoming bro!!
Incredible video!!
We’ll done, phenomenal video my friend!
What a man is willing to risk, or not to risk. I’d a measure of his soul
"Did you ever heard the tragedy of Davy Jones the wise"
Great lesson to these movies is never ever trust a woman.
Make me wanna rewatch it all ovr again. Cant believe this wasnt the actual trailer .
That is fantastic bravo man I like your video bravo 👏🏻🔥
Amazing work!!!!
And the funny thing is I literally just finished watching those movies with him in them. Lol.
Also awesome tribute to a very underrated villain!
Amazing vid bro Davy Jones is a really good villian.
Great video 🏴☠️
Love, a beautiful curse but also a cruel and unfair bond
Just love it...
"I trust you know what awaits you should you FAAAYYYLLE"😭😭😭Made me laugh on that part
What I would give for an origins movie for Davy Jones (with good writing).
Клип на самом деле получился просто офигенным. Пусть я и не знаю английского(к сожалению), но все одно, это было очень мощно
DNA Hitler's Czar
THX 💎
"Afraid to get wet!?" is absolutely hilarious line to the bewilderment of the naval captain lmao always gets me.
this guy should have his own movie.
"Are you afraid of death!"
Davey jones. The last great disney villain
Wow...I mean just wow
This character was very well flushed out!! And made the first three films step out
Along with Johnny Depp’s Sparrow!!
This was an Incredible Masterpiece for My All Time Favorite Role For The Legendary Bill Nighy. Davy Jones is Also My All Time Favorite Antagonist’s in The Pirates Of The Caribbean Franchise and My All Time Favorite Disney Villain. Hey Panos DKS Could you please do a tribute for Viktor from The Underworld Franchise he is My Second Favorite Role for Bill Nighy?
- Have you ever heard the tragedy of Davy Jones the Betrayed?
- No
- I thought so. It's not a story the Jedi would tell you. It's a Sith legend. Davy Jones was a dark lord of the Sith so powerful and wise, he was almost invincible.
- What happened to him?
- He was betrayed by the one he loved, so he carved his heart and locked it in a chest. On his ship he searched for sailors, who almost died at the sea and gave them an opportunity to become part of his crew and serve 100 years under his command. Once he made a deal with a pirate called Jack Sparrow, but when it was a time to pay, Jack found the chest and stabbed the heart of Davy Jones using a hand of another man. Ironic. Jones could save others from death, but not himself.
The scene with Davy Jones and Calypso are the most intense scene in that entire franchise.
It do have so much more depth than that entire movie.
Fav order of Pirates of the Caribbean 2,3,1,4,5 (change my mind) 🤗
Well this got me to sub
🫡
That was absolutely wonderful, Bravo
Love the character❤❤❤
Davy Jones is a definition what love can make all of use becomes and do
I can set you free mate “my freedom was forfeit long ago” truth that he is more a victim than a villain in this franchise
Better then the tragedy of Darth Plagus
For ever my favorite villain
amazig
"Let no man look at the sky with hope"
They should make a prequel about him and calipso
I can relate to davy jones in a sad way
Davy Jones is a good competitor for the best villain EVER. Disney has always had the knowledge to ruin perfect things. The part where the English take control of Jones is the downfall of his great character. Until he breaks out. Then he gets ruined again. I hate Disney. Pirates of the Caribbean was destined to be...
...much more.
Disney Golden Era good old times.
Nice man! I also have an edit about pirates 2 and 3 if you're interested ;)
this video should have been the trailer of the movie
One of the best villains in history
What
Exactly
Did he put
Into the chest.
*Him Heart.*
I’ve know all his quotes by heart in French, got to learn those in english now -
I was young at that time when Potc 2/3 were in theaters, couldn’t know What a "broken heart" meant and know they might be more folks like me who can identify as Davy Jones 🫡😂
Watch the next Pirate caribbean movies gonna be the back story to David Jones
6:02 Was that just another of Captain Jack's stalling tactics, or was there a way for Davy to be free without dying?
Jack was going to stab his heart and take over the Dutchman. Effectively ending his torment.
@@GoSkaTeproductions Ah ok. Thanks!
So “Will did it” later instead.
@davidw.2791 Exactly mate.
Calipso bir dokunuşun yeter beni tekrar dunyaya
what happened to the dutchman after will turner took over? what was his purpose as captain?
That’s adressed in the 4th movie I think
godamn
Stop blowing holes in my ship! - Jack Sparrow!
Disney really need to make a prequel featuring Davy Jones, it would be another smash hit and round off the POTC saga !
🦾
best villain
Jones the bad guy
When Disney made great films
