Can you create a showcase page on a personal account? For reasons too detailed to go into I find myself in a position where I have to use my personal LinkedIn to advertise for my employer. I also want to leverage the platform for myself separately and 'showcase' myself for future opportunities and not my employer; can I do this? Essentially the "department" I want to promote is myself

I am a little bit confused to create a Showcase page instead of a diffrent company page, I plan to expand my company/business into three more divisions i.e., 1) Fashion & Retail, 2) Influencer Marketing, 3) Healthcare consulting. The most important thing is that these two business units will be coming with the same Brand name i.e. "X advertising" & "X Fashion & Retail and the third one will be different like "Y Consulting", while all of the companies will come under my existing company as a subsidiary company.
So kindly suggest best suitable option with this scenario.
Hi Shubham, to be honest you are a perfect fit for the showcase pages since there is a holding company and other 3 (fashion/influencer marketing/healthcare) is under that umbrella. Rather than creating multiple company pages, you can just have one company page and list the other 3 as showcase pages. To see a good example: take a look at Microsoft's linkedin page or Stanford University's. Their other sections are all listed under 1 company name and the rest is all showcase pages. This way when your clients look for your company they can see one cohesive unit rather than getting confused with multiple company pages although they are under 1 umbrella. Showcase pages are great for cases like yours. Hope this helps and thank you again for your awesome question.
I like the information you providing through the video. LinkedIn hasn't provided me the product tab on my company page. That's why I can not add products to my company page. Can I use a showcase page to display my products?
There is no specific “shopping/product” section build in personal or company pages that’s why you are having difficulty on adding them. In showcase pages, it is the same. You can just post them though on your company or showcase page

Are showcase and affiliated pages the same now?
I'm trying to sort out how I can create a subpage or linked page of some sort allowing me to share localized German content. We do all of our posting in English currently, but would like to create a linked page to share German language only. Is this done through a showcase page, or do we simply select the locale we are wanting this to be seen by when publishing from LinkedIns platform?
Hi Barry, great question. Here are your options:
1) If there is a division specifically and they only do German region work to only German language speaking audience-> showcase page would be great. That way people can follow that page along with the main page and can differentiate the departments.
2) If there is no specific department, you just want to post in German sometimes and want to show your content to German language speakers and exclude other languages, you can easily do it on your company page. When you type the post and open to publish, you have a dropdown option to choose “show the content within my followers that use their profile in German/has 2nd language as German”. That way only specific people can see on their feed.

Thank you for your kind comment. Showcase pages are associated with the company pages that’s why it is (still) not possible to create an affiliate page under the personal pages
