In a lot of ways it can feel like the only way to earn a boomers respect is to literally take a bullet like Spidey did for Cap.
@@kenny6643 Seems you've had some bad experiences with the Baby Boomers. In my experience, most of them aren't that way. As for old people having problems with younger people, it's an age old issue. Old people see themselves at that age making the same mistakes you're going to make, you remind them of their past and it incites negative feelings, they're just not a good person, or anything in-between. The reality is that Ultimate Universe Captain America was just a piece of shit in general to everybody. He was tremendously awful to Hank (even though Hank deserved it), treated Bruce like shit, and mildly abused Janet (when they were dating). He only got better after Peter died and he had to face the consequences of his own actions and look Miles Morales in the face (which he could not do for a long time). The Ultimate timeline is basically all of the Avengers (and other Marvel heroes) at their absolute worst. Even Peter was a womanizing slut and kind of an arrogant prick who had flings with a dozen other women while in relationships with Mary Jane and others. He was still a genuinely good and caring hero. He just had more of a problem with not letting power not go to his head.
Aunt May had every right to do what she did. Spiderman treated them as idols. Someone to look up to and they didn't give one single crap about him. Poor guy never deserved what he got not one.
I would told him take off the uniform. "Remember how you were just a normal guy wanting to do your part. So was he but you think your better than others. Then you ignore the simple fact that everyone starts some where. Then again they do call you Captain AMERICA. Get out you're not welcome here. Take your feelings take your guilt and freeze in it till end of time."
One of Cap's biggest personal hang-ups is Bucky. Not MCU Bucky. The original comic book Bucky. Cap does NOT like child superheroes, weaponized children, how they die or get themselves killed. Even when it is for a good reason, fighting enemy armies determined to kill them and their loved ones, Cap just could not get over it. This more than anything is why Cap could never take Peter as Spider-Man into his aegis and tutelage. And you know that slap from aunt May, brought back even hurt he suffered during WW2.
Spider-man and the avengers in the comics had beef with eachother that made no sense. Peter is a chill dude but the avengers treat him like a vigilante
Captain was acting like if spiderman couldnt just have ripped him apart at any moment,i know he didnt had as much experience but surealy more potential
it wasn't all bad. love him or hate him this brought Miles Morales as the new Spider-Man. can't deny how popular the new Spider-Man is, after all, he got moved to the main universe too.
@kamyu3755 That's true we wouldn't have fallen in love with Miles if he hadn't been introduced in the Ultimates. I wasn't too crazy about the Ultimate X-Men Jean was a total bitch, she swapped Peter & Logan's bodies because Logan wouldn't stop trying to get with her. Then while in Peter's body Logan tried to get into MJ's pants this was Peter's gf. Then once he got his body back Peter just laid into the X-Men saying the real reason why normal people don't like mutants then he takes off.
I absolutely LOVE ultimate spiderman that poor kid went through so much and when 616 peter is transported to 1610 i loved it with him interacting with miles may and gwen
It's worse when you realize that Spiderman, more often than not, has more potential than any of the main avengers, yet they so often look at him like a joke.
The original Spider-Man comic came out in 1962. Aunt May and uncle Ben were obviously supposed to be late 50s or above. Aunt May lived through WW2 and so she is completely justified in bringing it up
Spiderman is that hope that we all have. Cap represents the heart and determination to fight on against all evil. But Spiderman represents that hope we all have that if we just try, we can make this world a better place
Ultimate Spidey is probably one of if not my favorite rendition of the Wall-Crawler, because I love how much the comics had him interacting with the X-Men and the mutants rather than The Avengers or non-mutant teams. Spider-Man's always had a special connection with many of the X-Men, but seeing it fleshed out in Ultimate made me really happy and satisfied. Also fun fact my first ever spidey comic was Miles Morales' origin story, so seeing Peter die gave me total whiplash when I first read it LOL
It's been a while since I read the Ultimate comics, but from what I remember, this Tony was actually pretty cool compared to how they've been writing him in the 616 universe. I mean, he was actually in favor of adding Peter to the Avengers here, and he paid for the funeral expenses so that May didn't have to worry about that. Even if he's not a shining example of virtue, at least he had that going for him.

I believed 616 Captain America would look at his 1610 counterpart with such disappointment. 616 Cap sees Spider-Man as a True Hero. 1619 Cap sees Spider-Man as a Fool.
Personally Spider-Man has always been my favorite marvel character, I’m not really a huge marvel fan when it comes to comics but I love Spider-Man and Xmen, the reason Spider-Man/ Peter has always been my favorite is because even at sixteen he was a true hero, twice the hero The Avengers were. If anything he’s too selfless and heroic and that’s why the writers always make him suffer, he deserves the best life possible but because hes always going to choose others before himself it won’t happen. Getting hit by the spider was probably the worst thing that could have happened, the thing the triggers every moment of true misery in his life, and yet whenever he’s given the chance to undo it he never does despite how badly he wants to because he feels responsible for EVERYONE , and I don’t know how many of the Avengers would make that same choice
The Ultimate Universe was pretty dark at times and Aunt May had been through the ringer at that point. She was also very much a saint, she took in Ice Man, Human Torch, and even Gwen Stacy despite Gwen being a Carnage Clone at that point!
Hulk/bruce and punisher are the only heros that fully understand the living hell and torment peter goes threw every day.And Why savage Hulk and Spider-Man's Unique Friendship Stands Out to me in Marvel is because Hulk sees Spider-Man as his best friend and Unlike others, Spider-Man understands hulk protests and reasons with the Green Monster witch even when hulk is mastero he never forgot and never will forget everything spiderman has done for him and countless others and Bruce even states Spiderman is a hero worthy of being an avenger and he and the hulk as well as the x men are the only one who took perter seriously and saw his potential for being a hero.
It’s even crazier when you realize that Spider-Man always holds back in his fights. He’s able to literally explode Kingpin’s head with just a punch before the crime boss could even register that he was hit. The fact that Cap and the Avengers here looked down on him when in reality he could take them all, except Hulk, Thor and Iron Man, down himself really says a lot, even more so for this scene.
They basically let a 16 year died cause they only saw him as a joke even though he was more for the people than for having a big image like the avengers
In Earth-616, Cap RESPECT Peter. He even defended him by demanding JJJ to reprint the newspaper when Jameson accused Spidey to be an agent of Hydra (or AIM, forgot which).
I feel like when miles comes along, cap gets ptsd and fires off at him telling him he cant be there. He kinda treats him the same way he treated peter until miles showed out. However, 616 cap treats both Spideys with respect and admiration. Even training them to be better fighters and better men.
Fun fact: after she slap him aunt may left the place and then fall into the ground because that's was a lot people outside asking her but suddenly JJJ came and helped her and calmed her down and taked her back to the funeral Ultimate JJJ is better than every superhero in marvel Ultimate

In a lot of ways it can feel like the only way to earn a boomers respect is to literally take a bullet like Spidey did for Cap.
This version of Cap was an incredible self righteous prick
The fact that he didn't take him to hq and heal him, I know Shield has doctors
He was in a hurry he took the bullet along the way.
616 would've beat the piss out of him and taken the shield from him
It kinda happened in battle world event. And 616 was pissed with his ultimate counter part. When 616 cap found out about it.
In that case the other 616 Avengers would have beaten the piss out of the Ultimates too.
@@catspawgardner3213 well apart from tony, cus ultimate tony kinda died didn't he? I don't remember everything
Aunt May had every right to do what she did. Spiderman treated them as idols. Someone to look up to and they didn't give one single crap about him. Poor guy never deserved what he got not one.
Nice to see I'm not the only one coming back to this run
dude its so fucking good man!
The death of Ultimate Spider-Man is one of the best things ever put on a comic book
What
Didn’t love everything about the og Ultimate universe, but damn did they get everything Spider-Man just perfect
Ultimate Cap is such a betrayal of his core character
Bruh, how is it that people only ever treat this poor guy with respect when he's dead?
Blame the braindead writers. I do.
Poor spider man
At least it ain't Paul or Gwen having an affair with gobby although it's arguably worse than either considering he's fuckin dead
@@grindory I know I was just saying he can’t take a break
@grindory at least in death he gets peace, it's not the best way to get what you need, but it's the best Peter gets.
Bro, he never got to live life. But Peter was still smiling when dying because he saved Aunt May
An avenger round table actually sounds pretty awesome
When Jonah can show more respect to Spidey at his funeral then you you know your the problem
Aunt May is the best.
That’s the kind of woman I’d hope spider-Mam would be!
I've always said you can describe the Ultimate Universe as: "What if everyone in Marvel was an asshole except Spider-Man?"
I didn’t know when the ultimate universe Spider-Man died at 16 I thought he died when he was 20
Yeah, he just turn 16. In this universe he was like only Spiderman for like a year and a half.
Man, that’s heavy! So glad Aunt May put the Captain in his place. She was absolutely right.
"I did it May. I did it. I couldnt save Uncle Ben but I saved you."
Imagine being a strong part of a hero team and being slapped by an old lady
I love how there’s that one panel where the little girl asks if she needs a hug right now…I’m sobbing, that little girl knew exactly what she needed 😭
"If cap took him seriously, everyone else would have"
616-Peter: sure they would have...
My respect for Aunt May went up tremendously
Captain was acting like if spiderman couldnt just have ripped him apart at any moment,i know he didnt had as much experience but surealy more potential
OK, I'm starting to see why everyone hated the ultimate universe and why it got rebooted.
it wasn't all bad. love him or hate him this brought Miles Morales as the new Spider-Man. can't deny how popular the new Spider-Man is, after all, he got moved to the main universe too.
ultimate Spider-Man was great.
@@kamyu3755 Miles Morales is overrated. The best original thing the Ultimate universe did was turning Reed evil and eventually becoming the Maker.
The reboot was trash
I absolutely LOVE ultimate spiderman that poor kid went through so much and when 616 peter is transported to 1610 i loved it with him interacting with miles may and gwen
It's worse when you realize that Spiderman, more often than not, has more potential than any of the main avengers, yet they so often look at him like a joke.
Yeah Steve was an arrogant asshole in this version.
The original Spider-Man comic came out in 1962. Aunt May and uncle Ben were obviously supposed to be late 50s or above. Aunt May lived through WW2 and so she is completely justified in bringing it up
After he took the bullet for him he did take him seriously he said he was gonna be the best outta all them when he grew up
Amazing how one regret's one's actions far too late?
Most loved and adored hero that literally suffers
Cap in multiple occasions didn't wanted teen kids to be superheroes.
Tony stark behind MJ seeing Cap getting slapped: 😦
I remember reading a single issue of Ultimate Avengers and decided that I ain't reading that shit. Everyone sucks in varying degrees.
now they all swallow too
Pretty sure Aunt May needs to slap the mess outta everyone in the ultimate universe even the writers
Captain America having no respect for Spiderman?
That's weird.
It's like hearing that Master Splinter is an abusive father.
Ultimate Tony is unironically a better guy to Peter than Steve is
It's been a while since I read the Ultimate comics, but from what I remember, this Tony was actually pretty cool compared to how they've been writing him in the 616 universe.
I mean, he was actually in favor of adding Peter to the Avengers here, and he paid for the funeral expenses so that May didn't have to worry about that. Even if he's not a shining example of virtue, at least he had that going for him.
@@alejandrocamberosrodriguez4222 ultimate tony is still a dick but. He was a bit more selfless, and was looking forward to actually spending time training peter as he See's himself in the kid.
@@ashwolf2006 In all fairness, other than Peter, Miles and aunt May, was anyone *not* a dick in the Ultimate universe?
@@alejandrocamberosrodriguez4222 everyone is and was a dick, though aunt may and uncle ben are the really good one's. even mary jane was kinda of a "Beach" to peter at times.
Wow, this Captain America was no better than the Nazis
Man I never read the ultimate comic line but from what I get from it, is that every hero was just a total dick…..and had issues…..lots of issues……
At least Ult Thor went to check on him in Valhalla, making sure his afterlife was one that someone of Peter's caliber deserved.
Medical attention might have done wonders too. None of the avengers have a cell phone?!
The good thing is, Thor know that now Peter having a galon of Ale in Valhalla
not even his shield will protect him from a mother( figure)'s wrath
Died at 16 ? .Peter starts being Spider-Man at only 15 .Did he only get a single year of superheroing ? .
Daaang, that art is soo good
Spiderman's fate is always something else
The sad reality is that everybody takes him seriously until it's too late....
You know what 😂😂😂😂😂 this was well deserved especially since cap knew what happened and they should’ve took spider man seriously.
Ultimate aunt may: slaps captian America.
ASM aunt may: "stop being sad peter its annoying".
They basically let a 16 year died cause they only saw him as a joke even though he was more for the people than for having a big image like the avengers
I never felt more fear than seeing Aunt May GLARING... 😅😅😅
In Earth-616, Cap RESPECT Peter. He even defended him by demanding JJJ to reprint the newspaper when Jameson accused Spidey to be an agent of Hydra (or AIM, forgot which).
The ultimate universe version of Cap deserved that slap. At least outside of the ultimate universe, Cap treats Peter with respect.
Sometimes I wonder if Ultimate Cap had any influence on Garth Ennis when he created Homelander
I remember seeing that for the first time. In my head i was thing na may give him another 1.
If JJJ is being respectful you know cap is fucked up for that in the newspaper it calls him New Yorks hero not a menace
Every spider-man is cursed to some degree it seems. Some have it worse than others, some die a hero's death.
I've always said that Aunt May was the biggest badass of the Spider-Man universe.
I feel like when miles comes along, cap gets ptsd and fires off at him telling him he cant be there.
He kinda treats him the same way he treated peter until miles showed out.
However, 616 cap treats both Spideys with respect and admiration. Even training them to be better fighters and better men.
Fun fact: after she slap him aunt may left the place and then fall into the ground because that's was a lot people outside asking her but suddenly JJJ came and helped her and calmed her down and taked her back to the funeral
Ultimate JJJ is better than every superhero in marvel Ultimate
God the ultimate universe is so ass why are they trying to rehabilitate these guys.
I will say ultimate spider-man was the only good part of the ultimates universe
