The last race to not include any current NASCAR Cup Series drivers was the 2000 Winston 500, which was Dale Earnhardt’s 76th and final win.
That one I know is False. Kurt Busch was in that race. Dale flipped him off mid race

For everyone's future reference, this fact is correct. Kurt Busch had taken over the 97 ride at this time, but skipped the Winston 500 due to his truck schedule. As such, Chad Little took one last ride in the John Deere #97.
Of the drivers that participated in the 1992 Hooters 500, those 41 drivers have 784 wins and 27 championships between them
Half of the top ten finishers in that race won championships, but 21 of those 27 championships come from drivers who finished 23rd or worse.
Derrike Cope is responsible for 2 of those wins!
In Jimmie Johnson’s last race (Phoenix 2020), on the 48th lap, all positions on the scoring pylon showed the number 48.

Tony Stewart won Pontiac's last championship in the top series in 2002. He also won the 2005 championship, the year before Jimmie Johnson's first championship, and the 2011 championship, the year after Johnson's fifth consecutive championship.

Working at FedEx, whenever Denny Hamlin won, they would bring out a cardboard cutout and have a mini-parade looking setup for our drive out of the facility.

When driving home across the Ohio River from Kentucky, I came up behind a trailer carrying a late model car. The trailer prominently displayed that the owner's relative (presumably father) had gotten a top 10 finish at a Daytona race in the early 70's. Upon looking up finishing results from that race, I discovered the driver had finished 11th.
This might be my favorite one

NASCAR drivers are not required to have a state-issued driver’s license, however, they must go through a long tedious process for Nascar to grant you their own license to drive for a team.

Denny Hamlin is the only active NASCAR cup driver who has been racing before 2010, never changed teams, and numbers

The Nextel cup seires ran till 2014

NASCAR teams are allowed to use a sticky substance to make their pit stall stickier so the tires grip better but it can only be something you can drink ie sugary soda.

Cute, now do 30 minutes. Here's my contribution: In the 2011 Goody's Fast Relief 500 at Martinsville, Brian Vickers caused 25% of all cautions. For a much less interesting fact, Matt Kenseth was running sixth at lap 256, and Carl Edwards was a lap down and held 25th place.
The audio of Nascar broadcasts is typically mixed and broadcast in Dolby Digital 5.1, meaning there's discreet audio for each of the five channels. If you're tired of listening to commentary and just want to listen to the cars and track sounds, unplug your center channel speaker. As long as your audio system is configured properly and isn't making a "simulated surround" audio mix from stereo content, you'll hear absolutely zero voices and all the car audio will be loud and clear. A bonus feature is amplifying your rear speakers: Sometimes you can hear the fans yell weird stuff from the surround speakers.
on the championship merch that you cant buy the losers merch its the same with the college football championship they take all the merch from the losing team and ship it to 3rd world countries for red cross and other medical charities to distribute

Two drivers in history have won both the Daytona 500 and the Indy 500 in their careers. Those two drivers are Mario Andretti and AJ Foyt. However, no driver was ever able to win the Indy 500 and the Brickyard 400 in their careers and with Nascar no longer running the speedway but rather the road course at Indianapolis it will likely never happen.

In 2020, a JTG driver finished last four races in a row (Indianapolis, Kentucky, Texas, and Kansas). Three of them were from Ryan Preece.
Throughout the Chase/Playoffs Era, only two defending champions failed to make the 10-Race postseason: Tony Stewart in 2006 and Brad Keselowski in 2013.
1967 holds the distinction of having the largest points gap in series history, which sits at 6,028 points.
The shortest and longest tracks the Cup Series ever ran on are Islip Speedway (0.200 miles) and the Daytona Beach Road Course (4.170 miles).
The points leader can make it to the playoffs even if they don’t have a win by the time the regular season ends. That means if at least 16 drivers have a win, the worst-ranked driver gets dropped out as long as the points leader is winless.
The two drivers with the most wins in all competitions at Daytona have a combined 1 Daytona 500 win. (Dale Earnhardt, Sr and Tony Stewart)

Did you know that in the 2018 nascar cup series fall Texas race, there was a car sponsored by the car shop ‘Gas Monkey Garage’ from the TV show ‘Fast N Loud’. It DNF’d mid race for a mechanical failure.
That car was the TriStar Motorsports #72 driven by Corey LaJoie at the time (He split the season with Cole Whitt)

Richmond 2008, Kyle Busch dumped Dale Jr, but did you know Clint Bowyer actually won this race. I look back at this and think: This must be the most overshadowed win in NASCAR.
Dale Earnhardt's birthday is 4/29/51. In 2001 Kevin Harvick in the 4th race of the year, in car 29, started 5th and finished 1st. This was Harvick 3rd start in the car previously numbered 3.
Ricky Stenhouse has finished Top 20 in 11 of his 17 career Cup starts at Kansas.... but has NEVER finished in the Top 10

1966. It's successor, the Paul Smith's - Gabriel's Volunteer Fire Department was at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Louden
in July 2016 as part of the safety team for the weekend of races .

The reason Josh Wise went 8 laps down in the 2015 Coke Zero 400 is because his battery came unplugged shortly after missing the big one. NASCAR believed he wrecked (despite the fact that the car had no damage and he stopped in turn 1, not turn 4 where the wreck was) and sent him to the infield care center. The 98 crew fixed the battery quickly and I was then treated to the possible world record in most F-bombs dropped by a NASCAR crew member in 5 minutes.
“We fixed the car but we don’t have the driver! WHAT THE FUCK NASCAR? I MEAN, WHAT IN THE FUCK?!” -#98 Crew Chief (?) for about 5 whole minutes.
Brendan Gaughan appeared to reference this in the radioactive for the race (he could’ve been talking about something different but he was Josh’s teammate at the time), saying, “We’re not the only ones fucked up tonight, what the hell NASCAR?”
Gaughan and Wise being teammates is false I believe. Gaughan was driving for Premium Motorsports (Beard Motorsports #62 today), and Wise drove the PPR #98 and for one race, the BK #26.

In real life, Dover intl has a track length of one mile meaning the average speed of lightning McQueen was 164mph which is impressive considering he’s a 2006 cup series car beating Chase Elliott’s 2019 record by a couple tenths
In 2020, Kevin Harvick had the Most Wins, Top 5's, Top 10's, Laps Led, had the Highest Average Finish, but not Average Start. That went to Joey Logano with a 6.3

The Philadelphia Eagles had a paint scheme ran in NASCAR. It was originally going to be in 2017 on the 88 while Dale Jr (an avid WFT fan) was driving the car but the NFL disallowed it. It did get ran one year later on the 88 when Bowman took over.
