I am planning a similar system here in Costa Rica (and for my son's future vineyard in USA) which uses a short main post, likely concrete, and two angled wood or metal arms in V, like an inverted A, leaving the center open above the wood cross-piece for mechanized trimming an pruning. Spurs will be at the cross-piece height, here one meter. Thus trimming, pruning, and harvest can be mechanized without a tall machine that has to straddle the vineyard rows like most harvesters. We will make attachments for a small tractor to do the work on the small USA vineyard, whereas all is hand work on our tiny area here in CR.
